The purpose of this paper is to examine and provide a solution to the output reference tracking problem for uncertain systems subject to input saturation. As well-known, input saturation and modelling errors are very common problems at industry, where control schemes are implemented without accounting for such problems. In many cases, it is sometimes difficult to modify the existing implemented control schemes being necessary to provide them with external supervisory control approaches in order to tackle problems with constraints and modelling errors. In this way, a cascade structure is proposed, combining an inner loop containing any proper controller with an outer loop where a generalized predictive controller (GPC) provides adequate references for the inner loop considering input saturations and uncertainties. Therefore, the contribution of this paper consists in providing a state space representation for the inner loop and using linear matrix inequalities (LMI) to obtain a predictive state-vector feedback in such a way that the input reference for the inner loop is calculated to satisfy robust tracking specifications considering input saturations. Hence, the final proposed solution consists in solving a regulation problem to a fixed reference value subjected to a set of constraints described by several LMI and bilinear matrix inequalities (BMI). The main contribution of the paper is that the proposed solution is a non-linear setpoint tracking approach, that is, it is allowed that the system goes into saturation facing the problem of setpoint tracking instead of regulating to the origin. Accurate localization with high availability is a key requirement for autonomous vehicles. It remains a major challenge when using automotive sensors such as single‐frequency Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers, a lane detection camera, and proprioceptive sensors. This paper describes a method that enables the estimation of stand‐alone single‐frequency GNSS errors by integrating the measurements from a forward‐looking camera matched with lane markings stored in a digital map. It includes a parameter identification method for a shaping model, which is evaluated using experimental data. An algebraic observability study is then conducted to prove that the proposed state vector is fully observable in a road‐oriented frame. This observability property is the basis to develop a road‐centered Extended Kalman filter (EKF) that can maintain the observability of every component of the state vector on any road, whatever its orientation. To accomplish this, the filter needs to handle road changes, which it does using bijective transformations. The filter was implemented and tested intensely on an experimental vehicle for driverless valet parking services. Field results have shown that the performance of the estimation process is better than solutions based on EKF implemented in a fixed working frame. The proposed filter guarantees that the drift along the road direction remains bounded. This is very important when the vehicle navigates autonomously. Automated Tape Laying and Fiber Placement of composite materials are the two principal automated processes used for fabrication of large composite structures in aeronautical industry. The aluminum parts produced by High Speed Machining tend to be replaced by carbon fiber composite parts realized with these processes. However, structural parts present reinforcement zones which disturb the tool path follow-up and generate an increase of the manufacturing time. Thus, this paper deals with the optimization of tool paths of a 7-axis machine tool of Fiber Placement with the objective of reducing the manufacturing time while ensuring the requested quality of the final part. In this paper, two complementary methods are detailed. The first method takes advantage of the degree of redundancy of the machine tool to decrease the kinematic loads of the control joints. The second method aims to smooth the orientation of the machine head along the tool path while ensuring quality constraints. The condition macromastia has not been defined and characterized precisely by the medical community. Whether the patient with hypertrophic breasts is a candidate for or can be helped by reduction mammaplasty is unclear to both the medical and the lay community. A prospective study of 39 women undergoing reduction mammaplasty surgery was initiated to answer these questions. Patients rated the severity of their somatic pain symptoms and discomfort before reduction mammaplasty and again after complete recovery. The severity of their symptoms and complaints was numerically graded and analyzed. These data were compared with similar data obtained from 40 "small-breasted" women of similar age. Headache, neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, and bra strap groove pain were present in 60 to 92 percent of patients, and 97 percent of patients had at least three of these pain symptoms preoperatively. All the patients had reduction of their pain symptomatology postoperative, and 25 percent of the study patients had total elimination of pain symptoms by reduction mammaplasty. The postoperative incidence and severity of pain symptoms and discomfort complaints were statistically equivalent to or less than the levels in the control group. 相似文献

This paper develops a model for evaluating the consequences of increasing block tariff pricing policies when multiple households share a connection and applies it to a sample from Kumasi, Ghana. Results show that for any given consumption, a household's average share of total monthly water bill for shared connections can either be higher or lower than its single-household equivalent. Significant differences between the average and single-household equivalent bills were found in these cases, although this difference is under-estimated if the sample is not disaggregated by payment group. 相似文献

We present new and effective lower bounds for the resource constrained project scheduling problem. This problem is widely known to be notoriously difficult to solve due to the lack of lower bounds that are both tight and fast. In this paper, we propose several new lower bounds that are based on the concept of energetic reasoning. A major contribution of this work is to investigate several enhanced new feasibility tests that prove useful for deriving new lower bounds that consistently outperform the classical energetic reasoning-based lower bound. In particular, we present the results of a comprehensive computational study, carried out on 1560 benchmark instances, that provides strong evidence that a deceptively simple dual feasible function-based lower bound is highly competitive with a state-of-the-art lower bound while being extremely fast. Furthermore, we found that an effective shaving procedure enables to derive an excellent lower bound that often outperforms the best bound from the literature while being significantly simpler. 相似文献
