Textile Reinforced Mortar (TRM), also known as Fabric Reinforced Mortar or Fabric Reinforced Cementitious Matrix, composites are an emerging technology for the external repair and strengthening of existing structures. For most applications, the effectiveness of the TRM reinforcement relies on its bond performance. This recommendation identifies the best practice to characterize the bond behaviour of TRM. A shear bond test method is proposed to determine the peak axial stress (associated with the maximum load that can be transferred from the structural member to the externally bonded TRM reinforcement), the stress–slip relationship and the failure mode that controls the TRM-to-substrate load transfer capacity. Guidelines on specimen manufacturing, experimental setup, test execution, and determination of test results are provided.  相似文献

Cu(In,Ga)Se2-based solar cells have reached efficiencies close to 23%. Further knowledge-driven improvements require accurate determination of the material properties. Here, we present refractive indices for all layers in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 solar cells with high efficiency. The optical bandgap of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 does not depend on the Cu content in the explored composition range, while the absorption coefficient value is primarily determined by the Cu content. An expression for the absorption spectrum is proposed, with Ga and Cu compositions as parameters. This set of parameters allows accurate device simulations to understand remaining absorption and carrier collection losses and develop strategies to improve performances.  相似文献

Flash spark plasma sintering (flash SPS) is an attractive method to obtain Nd–Fe–B magnets with anisotropic magnetic properties when starting from melt-spun powders. Compared to the benchmark processing route via hot pressing with subsequent die upsetting, flash SPS promises electroplasticity as an additional deformation mechanism and reduced tool wear, while maximizing magnetic properties by tailoring the microstructure—fully dense and high texture. A detailed parameter study is conducted to understand the influence of Flash SPS parameters on the densification and magnetic properties of commercial MQU-F powder. It is revealed that the presintering conditions and preheating temperature before applying the power pulse play a major role for tailoring grain size and texture in the case of hot deformation via Flash SPS. Detailed microstructure and magnetic domain evaluation disclose the texture enhancement with increasing flash SPS temperature at the expense of coercivity. The best compromise between remanence and coercivity (1.37 T and 1195 kA m−1, respectively) is achieved through a combination of presintering at 500 °C for 120 s and preheating temperature of 600 °C, resulting in a magnet with energy product (BH)max of 350 kJm−3. These findings show the potential of flash SPS to obtain fully dense anisotropic nanocrystalline magnets with high magnetic performance.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a systematization of techniques that use quality metrics to help in the visual exploration of meaningful patterns in high-dimensional data. In a number of recent papers, different quality metrics are proposed to automate the demanding search through large spaces of alternative visualizations (e.g., alternative projections or ordering), allowing the user to concentrate on the most promising visualizations suggested by the quality metrics. Over the last decade, this approach has witnessed a remarkable development but few reflections exist on how these methods are related to each other and how the approach can be developed further. For this purpose, we provide an overview of approaches that use quality metrics in high-dimensional data visualization and propose a systematization based on a thorough literature review. We carefully analyze the papers and derive a set of factors for discriminating the quality metrics, visualization techniques, and the process itself. The process is described through a reworked version of the well-known information visualization pipeline. We demonstrate the usefulness of our model by applying it to several existing approaches that use quality metrics, and we provide reflections on implications of our model for future research.  相似文献

Oris is a tool for qualitative verification and quantitative evaluation of reactive timed systems, which supports modeling and analysis of various classes of timed extensions of Petri Nets. As most characterizing features, Oris implements symbolic state space analysis of preemptive Time Petri Nets, which enable schedulability analysis of real-time systems running under priority preemptive scheduling; and stochastic Time Petri Nets, which enable an integrated approach to qualitative verification and quantitative evaluation. In this paper, we present the current version of the tool and we illustrate its application to two different case studies in the areas of qualitative verification and quantitative evaluation, respectively.  相似文献

Given a set of products each with positive discrete demand, and a set of markets selling products at given prices, the traveling purchaser problem (TPP) looks for a tour visiting a subset of markets such that products demand is satisfied at minimum purchasing and traveling costs. In this paper we analyze a dynamic variant of the problem, where quantities may decrease as time goes on. Complete information is assumed on current state of the world, i.e. decision maker knows quantities available for each product in each market at present time and is informed about any consumption event when it occurs. Nevertheless, planner does not have any information on future events. Two groups of heuristics are described and compared. The first group consists of simplified approaches deciding which market to visit next on the basis of some greedy criteria considering only one of the two objective costs. The second one includes heuristics based on a look-ahead approach taking into account both traveling and purchasing costs and inserting some future prediction. Heuristics behavior has been tested on a large set of randomly generated instances under different levels of dynamism.  相似文献

The paper addresses the problem of locating sensors with a circular field of view so that a given line segment is under full surveillance, which is termed as the disc covering problem on a line. The cost of each sensor includes a fixed component f, and a variable component that is a convex function of the diameter of the field-of-view area. When only one type of sensor or, in general, one type of disc, is available, then a simple polynomial algorithm solves the problem. When there are different types of sensors, the problem becomes hard. A branch-and-bound algorithm as well as an efficient heuristic are developed for the special case in which the variable cost component of each sensor is proportional to the square of the measure of the field-of-view area. The heuristic very often obtains the optimal solution as shown in extensive computational testing.  相似文献

It is well known that the performance of computer controlled systems is heavily affected by delays and jitter occurring in the control loops, which are mainly caused by the interference introduced by other concurrent activities. A common approach adopted to reduce delay and jitter in periodic task systems is to decrease relative deadlines as much as possible, but without jeopardizing the schedulability of the task set. In this paper, we formally characterize the region of admissible deadlines so that the system designer can appropriately select the desired values to maximize a given performance index defined over the task set. Finally we also provide a sufficient region of feasible deadlines which is proved to be convex.

Air pollution has a negative impact on human health. For this reason, it is important to correctly forecast over-threshold events to give timely warnings to the population. Nonlinear models of the nonlinear autoregressive with exogenous variable (NARX) class have been extensively used to forecast air pollution time series, mainly using artificial neural networks (NNs) to model the nonlinearities. This work discusses the possible advantages of using polynomial NARX instead, in combination with suitable model structure selection methods. Furthermore, a suitably weighted mean square error (MSE) (one-step-ahead prediction) cost function is used in the identification/learning process to enhance the model performance in peak estimation, which is the final purpose of this application. The proposed approach is applied to ground-level ozone concentration time series. An extended simulation analysis is provided to compare the two classes of models on a selected case study (Milan metropolitan area) and to investigate the effect of different weighting functions in the identification performance index. Results show that polynomial NARX are able to correctly reconstruct ozone concentrations, with performances similar to NN-based NARX models, but providing additional information, as, e.g., the best set of regressors to describe the studied phenomena. The simulation analysis also demonstrates the potential benefits of using the weighted cost function, especially in increasing the reliability in peak estimation.  相似文献
