A set of eighty‐one extra virgin olive oils (EVOOs) was analysed according to the new quality parameters relative to the total amount of methyl and ethyl esters of fatty acids [Σ (FAMEs + FAEEs)] and the ratio between ethyl and methyl esters [ratio of FAEEs/FAMEs (RFF)]. Acquisition of the mid‐infrared spectra was also performed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT‐IR). Chemical and spectroscopy data were chemometrically elaborated, and FT‐IR coupled by Partial Least Square (PLS) methodology was developed. Results were statistically similar to official procedure in terms of analytical performance for Σ (FAMEs + FAEEs) and RFF in EVOOs: a good agreement between predicted and actual values on calibration data sets was found (0.98 and 0.83, respectively) and the limit of quantification was low enough (29.3 mg kg?1) considering the actual limits for Σ (FAMEs+ FAEEs). This new approach, time‐saving and environmentally friendly, can be considered as a useful tool for screening procedures.  相似文献

The AS-level topology of the Internet has been quite a hot research topic in the last few years. However, only a small number of studies have been developed that give a structural interpretation of this graph. Such an interpretation is crucially important in order to test protocols and optimal routing algorithms, to design efficient networks, and for failure detection purposes. Moreover, most research does not highlight the role that IXPs have on the AS-level structure of the Internet, although their role is recognized as fundamental.The initial contribution of this study is an analysis of the most important AS-level topologies that are publicly found on the web and an analysis of the topology obtained when they are merged. We compiled structural information from this topology making considerable use of the k-core decomposition technique to delineate various particular classes of nodes. Next, we associated node properties with a reasonable modus operandi of the ASs on the Internet. The second contribution is a study of the impact that ASs connected to IXPs and BGP connections crossing IXPs have on the AS-level topology. To achieve this, we developed a procedure to gather reliable information related to IXPs and their participants.  相似文献

Wool fibres are subject to a variety of industrial chemical treatments prior to finishing processes. The influence of such treatments on subsequent enzymatic treatments is still poorly characterised, but its importance is paramount to achieve maximal efficiency of enzymatic action on the fibres. The effect of such treatments on wool fibre structure and their significance on the accessibility of the enzymes transglutaminase and tyrosinase to their target amino acids within wool proteins was investigated. These enzymes are of great interest due to their potential as protein cross‐linkers and their capability to covalently graft beneficial compounds onto proteins. The accessibility of target amino acids was assessed using specific peptides tagged with fluorescent probes, followed by epifluorescence or confocal microscopy. Differences in the action of the different chemical pretreatments were found, with a treatment with permonosulphuric acid resulting in the greatest level accessibility to both enzymes, followed by chlorination and plasma treatments. This was confirmed by the increase in tensile strength of treated wool observed in the enzyme‐treated yarns. This work illustrates that the accessibility of these enzymes to their target aminoacids in solid substrates such as wool is key for their action and to achieve the desired property modifications. The techniques used have the advantage of permitting the visual monitoring of the diffusion of the active enzymes through the wool fibre structure and to relate this to the extent of enzymatic reaction. Crucially, this will allow an informed choice of the best wool processing stage at which to introduce such enzyme treatments.  相似文献

The internet is rapidly becoming the first place for researchers to publish documents, but at present they receive little support in searching, tracking, analysing or debating concepts in a literature from scholarly perspectives. This paper describes the design rationale and implementation of ScholOnto, an ontology-based digital library server to support scholarly interpretation and discourse. It enables researchers to describe and debate via a semantic network the contributions a document makes, and its relationship to the literature. The paper discusses the computational services that an ontology-based server supports, alternative user interfaces to support interaction with a large semantic network, usability issues associated with knowledge formalisation, new work practices that could emerge, and related work. The influence of stress state on the high temperature workability of rolled AZ31 Mg alloy was investigated on the basis of a processing map. To construct the processing map, high temperature compression tests were carried out on samples oriented parallel to the rolling direction at various temperatures (25 °C∼450 °C) and strain rates (10−3 s−1∼5s−1), and then the results were compared with those of a torsion test. The overall efficiency profiles of both the compression and torsion processing maps were similar to each other, but the index of dissipation efficiency in the torsion was somewhat lower than that in the compression. The microstructure of the compressed specimens revealed much finer grained structure than that of the torsion specimens. Such microstructural differences were attributed to the different tendencies of twin formation and texture evolution depending on the stress state.  相似文献

This article presents a statistical approach of analysis and decision that uses reliability techniques to define the best periodicity for preventive maintenance of power system protective relays. Relays are standby devices and may stay in the hidden failure state when they are not working. This state of failure generates difficulties in the determination of preventive maintenance periodicities. A case study presented in this work deals specifically with the reliability of the transmission and distribution system protective relays of CEMIG (the state owned Electrical Power Company of Minas Gerais, Brazil). Preventive maintenance data of protective relays obtained during a 4-year period were used in the proposed method. The choice of the periodicities, distinguished by groups of similar relay and voltage operation levels of the protected systems, is made according to the failure risk level that the company is willing to take. The main result obtained by using this method is a substantial reduction of 62% in the amount of preventive maintenance work load for the relays of the distribution system.  相似文献

Multicolor infrared (IR) focal planes are required for high-performance sensor applications. These sensors will require multicolor focal plane arrays (FPAs) that will cover various wavelengths of interest in mid wavelength infrared/long wavelength infrared (MWIR/LWIR) and long wavelength infrared/very long wavelength infrared (LWIR/VLWIR) bands. There has been significant progress in HgCdTe detector technology for multicolor MWIR/LWIR and LWIR/VLWIR FPAs.1–3 Two-color IR FPAs eliminate the complexity of multiple single-color IR FPAs and provide a significant reduction of weight and power in simpler, reliable, and affordable systems. The complexity of a multicolor IR detector MWIR/LWIR makes the device optimization by trial and error not only impractical but also merely impossible. Too many different geometrical and physical variables need to be considered at the same time. Additionally, material characteristics are only relatively controllable and depend on the process repeatability. In this context, the ability of performing “simulation experiments” where only one or a few parameters are carefully controlled is paramount for a quantum improvement of a new generation of multicolor detectors for various applications.  相似文献

It has been known for many years that it is possible to produce mixtures of methanol and higher alcohols from synthesis gas by alkali promotion of the methanol synthesis catalysts and by appropriate modification of the reaction conditions [l]. From 1927 to 1945 plants were in operation in the United States and Germany, that were dismantled with the coming of different feedstocks and the necessity of obtaining pure alcohols for chemical use. In the last decade the chemical and petroleum industry has shown a renewed and growing interest in the use of mixtures of methanol and higher aliphatic alcohols. The original goal in the late '70s was mainly to reduce oil dependence by producing synthetic components for gasoline blends. More recently the trend to lead phase-down due to environmental protection has focused the attention on the product performances of such alcohol mixtures as high octane blending stock for gasoline. It has been shown that the addition of higher alcohols to methanol increases the water tolerance in respect to phase separation, reduces the fuel volatility and the vapor lock tendency, and also results in higher volumetric heating values.  相似文献
