The competition between α, β, and γ polymorphs has been studied in several random copolymers and terpolymers of propylene, by performing X‐ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry experiments. Formation of β‐crystals, achieved by the addition of a β‐nucleating agent, was found to be highly dependent on comonomer type and crystallization conditions. Additionally, the mechanical properties have been evaluated from stress‐strain, microhardness and dynamic‐mechanical thermal analyses. POLYM. ENG. Despite their similarity, the MIG/MAG and Tubular Electrode processes display particular features with regard to arc stability and variability in the characteristics of the beads. Thus, selection of one of these processes for a specific application will have to consider how these particular features affect the quality of the welds. To support this choice, the present study aimed to investigate how changing the average current affects the stability and regularity of metal transfer in welds carried out with constant voltage and pulsed current and compare the variability in the geometry and dilution of these welds. To achieve these aims, automatic welding was carried out, with steel ABNT 1020 as base metal and wire AWS ER70S-6 and AWS E71T-1 as filler metals. Besides the welds with variation in the average current, the tests involved determination of the parameters for occurrence of stable short circuiting, drop and pulsed transfer. The results showed that the voltage that gives the highest stability in short circuiting transfer is independent of the welding speed and increases with the wire speed, and also showed that welds made with hollow wire displayed greater variability compared to solid wire.  相似文献

The multi-service (voice, data and HSUPA) uplink capacity and the interference statistics of the sectors of the cigar-shaped WCDMA microcell are studied using a model of 5 highway microcells. The two-slope propagation loss model with lognormal shadowing is used in the analysis. It is concluded that the voice and data service are significantly affected by HSUPA users and sector capacity decreases dramatically when one of these users gets connected to a given sector or to one next to it. Also it has been concluded that the capacity decrement is highly sensitive to the location of the HSUPA users. Thus, no more than one HSUPA with a process gain of 16 can be connected to a given base station. In this case, the HSUPA user should interrupt its transmission when it is near to the sector border. No more than one HSUPA user with a process gain of 8 is permitted in a given sector and the sector next to it. When the HSUPA user is at the sector border, its transmission should be disabled.  相似文献

In November 2012 the Google Scholar Metrics (GSM) journal rankings were updated, making it possible to compare bibliometric indicators in the ten languages indexed—and their stability—with the April 2012 version. The h-index and h-5 median of 1,000 journals were analysed, comparing their averages, maximum and minimum values and the correlation coefficient within rankings. The bibliometric figures grew significantly. In just seven and a half months the h-index of the journals increased by 15 % and the median h-index by 17 %. This growth was observed for all the bibliometric indicators analysed and for practically every journal. However, we found significant differences in growth rates depending on the language in which the journal is published. Moreover, the journal rankings seem to be stable between April and November, reinforcing the credibility of the data held by Google Scholar and the reliability of the GSM journal rankings, despite the uncontrolled growth of Google Scholar. Based on the findings of this study we suggest, firstly, that Google should upgrade its rankings at least semi-annually and, secondly, that the results should be displayed in each ranking proportionally to the number of journals indexed by language.  相似文献

The influence of tooling material, i.e., graphite and WC-Co, on the microstructure of a spark plasma sintering (SPS) consolidated, nanostructured aluminum alloy is studied in this paper. The results show that tooling selection influences microstructure evolution, independent of process parameters. The influence of tooling on microstructure is rationalized on the basis of the following factors: heating rate, electrical current density, localized heating, and imposed pressure. A theoretic framework, based on the physical properties of graphite and WC-Co, is formulated to explain the observed behavior.  相似文献

Tensile tests were performed in situ on an ultrafine-grained (UFG) Al-Mg alloy using a micro-tensile module in a scanning electron microscope. The micro-strain evolution was tracked and measured using digital image correlation (DIC). A fine random speckle pattern was required to achieve high resolution and accuracy of strain measurement using DIC. To produce the speckle pattern, a patterning method was developed using electron beam lithography to deposit a gold speckle pattern. The nanoscale feature size of this gold pattern (45 nm) was useful for identifying the micro-strain among individual grains of the UFG Al-Mg alloy. Microstructural aspects of the UFG Al-Mg alloy were revealed by analysis of electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) patterns. Finally, the effect of the UFG Al-Mg alloy microstructure on the nanoscale deformation mechanism was investigated by combining EBSD and DIC data in a contour map. This combined technique provides a method for direct measurement of micro-strain and is potentially useful for deformation studies of a wide range of nanostructured materials.  相似文献

Historically, cell-signaling pathways have been studied as the compilation of isolated elements into a unique cascade that transmits extracellular stimuli to the tumor cell nucleus. Today, growing evidence supports the fact that intracellular drivers of tumor progression do not flow in a single linear pathway, but disseminate into multiple intracellular pathways. An improved understanding of the complexity of cancer depends on the elucidation of the underlying regulatory networks at the cellular and intercellular levels and in their temporal dimension. The high complexity of the intracellular cascades causes the complete inhibition of the growth of one tumor cell to be very unlikely, except in cases in which the so-called “oncogene addiction” is known to be a clear trigger for tumor catastrophe, such as in the case of gastrointestinal stromal tumors or chronic myeloid leukemia. In other words, the separation and isolation of the driver from the passengers is required to improve accuracy in cancer treatment. This review will summarize the signaling pathway crossroads that govern renal cell carcinoma proliferation and the emerging understanding of how these pathways facilitate tumor escape. We outline the available evidence supporting the putative links between different signaling pathways and how they may influence tumor proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, metabolism and invasiveness. The conclusion is that tumor cells may generate their own crossroads/crosstalk among signaling pathways, thereby reducing their dependence on stimulation of their physiologic pathways.  相似文献

Universities’ online seats have gradually become complex systems of dynamic information where all their institutions and services are linked and potentially accessible. These online seats now constitute a central node around which universities construct and document their main activities and services. This information can be quantitative measured by cybermetric techniques in order to design university web rankings, taking the university as a global reference unit. However, previous research into web subunits shows that it is possible to carry out systemic web analyses, which open up the possibility of carrying out studies which address university diversity, necessary for both describing the university in greater detail and for establishing comparable ranking units. To address this issue, a multilevel university cybermetric analysis model is proposed, based on parts (core and satellite), levels (institutional and external) and sublevels (contour and internal), providing a deeper analysis of institutions. Finally the model is integrated into another which is independent of the technique used, and applied by analysing Harvard University as an example of use.  相似文献
