We present several algorithms to compute the solution of a linear system of equations on a graphics processor (GPU), as well as general techniques to improve their performance, such as padding and hybrid GPU‐CPU computation. We compare single and double precision performance of a modern GPU with unified architecture, and show how iterative refinement with mixed precision can be used to regain full accuracy in the solution of linear systems, exploiting the potential of the processor for single precision arithmetic. Experimental results on a GTX280 using CUBLAS 2.0, the implementation of BLAS for NVIDIA® GPUs with unified architecture, illustrate the performance of the different algorithms and techniques proposed. The promise of future many‐core processors, with hundreds of threads running concurrently, has led the developers of linear algebra libraries to rethink their design in order to extract more parallelism, further exploit data locality, attain better load balance, and pay careful attention to the critical path of computation. In this paper we describe how existing serial libraries such as (C)LAPACK and FLAME can be easily parallelized using the SMPSs tools, consisting of a few OpenMP‐like pragmas and a run‐time system. In the LAPACK case, this usually requires the development of blocked algorithms for simple BLAS‐level operations, which expose concurrency at a finer grain. For better performance, our experimental results indicate that column‐major order, as employed by this library, needs to be abandoned in benefit of a block data layout. This will require a deeper rewrite of LAPACK or, alternatively, a dynamic conversion of the storage pattern at run‐time. The parallelization of FLAME routines using SMPSs is simpler as this library includes blocked algorithms (or algorithms‐by‐blocks in the FLAME argot) for most operations and storage‐by‐blocks (or block data layout) is already in place. Whey protein concentrate was enzymatically hydrolysed at several time courses using the commercial preparation Alcalase® 2.4 L, different hydrolysates were achieved, and the effect of degree of hydrolysis (DH) on both technological and biological properties was studied. Results have shown that solubility, antioxidant and ACE inhibition activities were increased as DH was also augmented from about 8 to 17%. RP‐HPLC studies also revealed a decrease in hydrophobicity when samples were hydrolysed in comparison with controls. When the enzyme hydrolytic action was augmented, it stimulated both the bioactivity of whey protein and relevant technological properties, allowing these hydrolysates to be employed as additives in the development of food formulations. 相似文献

A confirmatory HPLC-MS/MS method for the determination of residues of 11 antibacterial substances from different therapeutic class (β-lactams, lincosamides, fluoroquinolones, macrolides, pleuromutilins and sulfonamides) in animal feeds has been developed. The sample preparation is based on extraction with 0.1% formic acid in acetonitrile. Separation of the analytes was performed on biphenyl column with a gradient of 0.1% formic acid in acetonitrile and 0.1% formic acid in Milli-Q water. The developed method was validated following the guidelines included in the European Union Commission Decision 2002/657/EC. Limits of detection ranging from 79.22 to 193.60 µg/kg; instrumental and analytical linearity coefficients were above 0.99 for matrix-match calibration; and relative recoveries ranging from 76.04% to 117.39%. Repeatability of the method was in the range of 2.41–19.76% (CV, %), whereas reproducibility ranged from 6.52 to 28.40% (CV %). The method shown to be efficient and precise for quantification of the 11 antibacterial substances in animal feed. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the method for routine use to monitor these substances in feed. The validated method was successfully applied to eight suspect feed samples collected from the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AFFCO) and feed manufactures from Galicia (Spain) in June and July 2017. Of these 8 non-target feeds, 5 were positive for the presence of tiamulin, tylosin and sulfadiazine. 相似文献

Human perceptual capabilities related to the laparoscopic interaction paradigm are not well known. Its study is important for the design of virtual reality simulators, and for the specification of augmented reality applications that overcome current limitations and provide a supersensing to the surgeon. As part of this work, this article addresses the study of laparoscopic pulling forces. Two definitions are proposed to focalize the problem: the perceptual fidelity boundary, limit of human perceptual capabilities, and the Utile fidelity boundary, that encapsulates the perceived aspects actually used by surgeons to guide an operation. The study is then aimed to define the perceptual fidelity boundary of laparoscopic pulling forces. This is approached with an experimental design in which surgeons assess the resistance against pulling of four different tissues, which are characterized with both in vivo interaction forces and ex vivo tissue biomechanical properties. A logarithmic law of tissue consistency perception is found comparing subjective valorizations with objective parameters. A model of this perception is developed identifying what the main parameters are: the grade of fixation of the organ, the tissue stiffness, the amount of tissue bitten, and the organ mass being pulled. These results are a clear requirement analysis for the force feedback algorithm of a virtual reality laparoscopic simulator. The fatty acid and triacylglycerol composition of a vegetable oil determine its physical, chemical and nutritional properties. The applications of a specific oil depend mainly on its fatty acid composition and the way in which fatty acids are arranged in the glycerol backbone. Minor components, e. g. tocopherols, also modify oil properties such as thermo‐oxidative resistance. Sunflower seed commodity oils predominantly contain linoleic and oleic fatty acids with lower content of palmitic and stearic acids. High‐oleic sunflower oil, which can be considered as a commodity oil, has oleic acid up to around 90%. Additionally, new sunflower varieties with different fatty acids and tocopherols compositions have been selected. Due to these modifications sunflower oils possess new properties and are better adapted for direct home consumption, for the food industry, and for non‐food applications such as biolubricants and biodiesel production. 相似文献

In this study, the antibacterial activities of a bovine Lactoferrin pepsin hydrolysate (LFH) and a synthetic peptide derived from bovine lactoferricin (LfcinB17–31) have been evaluated against Oenococcus oeni and three additional lactic acid bacteria (LAB) known to cause spoilage during winemaking processes. Inhibition of bacterial growth was demonstrated in vitro in synthetic broth media (MRS) for both LFH and LfcinB17–31. The bactericidal activity of the synthetic peptide was also assayed and found to vary depending on the bacterial species and the matrix in which exposure to peptide occurred (either MRS broth or white must). Specificity of LfcinB17–31 for Lactobacillus brevis, Pediococcus damnosus, and O. oeni was demonstrated in must fermentation experiments in which these three LAB co-existed with the winemaking Saccharomyces cerevisiae T73 in the presence of the peptide. Finally, fermentation experiments also showed that LfcinB17–31 at inhibitory concentrations did not alter either fermentation kinetics or specific enological parameters. 相似文献
