Effect of postnatal exposure to a PCB mixture in monkeys on multiple fixed interval-fixed ratio performance

Behavioral impairment as a consequence of PCB exposure beginning in utero has been reported in both humans and animals. The present study assessed the behavioral consequences of postnatal exposure to PCBs. Male monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) were dosed from birth to 20 weeks of age with 7.5 microgram(s)/kg/day of a PCB mixture representative of the PCBs typically found in human breast milk (eight monkeys) or vehicle (four monkeys). At 4 years of age, performance under a multiple fixed interval (FI)-fixed ratio (FR) schedule of reinforcement was assessed. The FI component was more sensitive to disruption as a result of PCB exposure than was the FR component. PCB-exposed monkeys displayed shorter mean interresponse times (IRTs) than controls, particularly during the earlier sessions of the experiment. Similarly, the increase in pause time characteristic of the acquisition of typical FI performance emerged more slowly across sessions in the PCB-treated group. However, the number of short IRTs (less than 5 s) remained greater in the treated group compared to controls over the 48-session duration of the experiment. On the FR component, control monkeys decreases the mean pause time across sessions whereas the PCB-treated group did not; there were no differences between groups for absolute value of average IRT or pause time. The results of this study extend previous research in this cohort of monkeys, and provide further evidence that PCB exposure limited to the early postnatal period and resulting in environmentally relevant body burdens produces long-term behavioral effects.     

跟踪系统中跟踪器延迟的自适应预测补偿方法

跟踪系统中跟踪器的延迟会对系统的稳定性和跟踪精度产生不利影响。为此以典型Ⅱ型系统为例，理论上定理地分析了跟踪器延迟对跟踪系统的影响，并提出了将采用LMS算法和横向滤波器结构的自适应滤波器用于延迟预测补偿的方法。仿真结果验证了方法的有效性。

本文介绍了一种实用的数据库设计方法，它以实体分析法为理论基础，通过对我们日常使用的表进行聚集和归类，完成数据库的逻辑设计，所设计的数据库满足ＢＮＯＦ范式。同时该方法可操作性较强，本文还介绍了自行设计的ＥＲＣＭ数据库辅助设计工具。     

A common precursor to neurotensin and LANT6 and its differential processing in chicken tissues

Antisera towards neurotensin (NT) and the structurally related peptide, LANT6, were used to characterize immunoreactive peptides and proteins in extracts of chicken tissues. A 17 kDa protein was identified by Western blotting as a potential precursor to NT and LANT6. However, the posttranslational processing of this common precursor appeared to be tissue specific, giving rise to disproportionate amounts of NT and LANT6, along with varying expression of a large molecular LANT6 (M(r), 15 kDa). The intestinal cells containing immunoreactive NT, LANT6, and large molecular LANT6 behaved similarly during fractionation by size and density. These activities also banded together in particles resembling vesicles during centrifugation of isotonic homogenates of tissue. These results suggest that chicken NT and LANT6 are biosynthesized as parts of the same precursor, the processing of which can give rise to a variety of products stored within secretory vesicles.     

A neural network that predicts psychiatric length of stay

One hundred and twelve bilateral thyroidectomies for solitary thyroid nodules with suspected malignancy were performed. The incidence of malignancy in the 112 primary nodules was 42%. Twenty-nine of the 112 contralateral lobes (26%) contained malignancy, which was unsuspected in 80%. Of these 29, 20 were foci of papillary cancer < or = 5 mm and 9 were larger papillary tumors or follicular carcinoma. We analyzed these 112 patients to determine whether there was a simple method to identify those patients at risk for contralateral, unsuspected malignancy. With use of the AMES clinical staging retrospectively, 70 of the 112 patients were classified as having low-stage disease. Fifty percent (35) had cancers on the primary side and 27% (19) on the contralateral side. Of these 19 contralateral cancers, 14 were papillary cancers < or = 5 mm, 4 were papillary cancer > 5 mm and one was a 1.5 cm follicular carcinoma, a similar distribution as in the whole group of 112. When the AMES analysis then excluded those thought to be at risk for multicentricity or papillary carcinoma and examined female patients only with nonpapillary frozen sections, nonpapillary aspiration cytological results, and no history of radiation exposure, no further reduction in the proportion of contralateral cancers (7 of 26, 27%) was found. Fifty-five of the 112 patients underwent preoperative ultrasound scans. In those cases in whom the contralateral lobe had no intraoperative palpable or preoperative sonographic mass, 5 of 20 still had contralateral cancers, but all were papillary < or = 5 mm.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)     

火灾自动报警与PLC自动控制相结合在油库消防系统中的应用

为了加强对油库消防监控,更好地保护油库的消防安全,宁波镇海国家储备油库的消防监控系统尝试了火灾自动报警与PLC自动控制相结合的监控模式,并取得了良好效果,使系统监控的智能化程度大为提高,其报警及灭火控制功能更为先进。文章主要阐述了该系统的特点、结构及功能,并结合实际工程应用介绍了该系统的工作流程,为该技术在其他类似工程的应用提供了有益的借鉴。     

静压下ZnS：Te中Te等电子陷阱的发光

研究了4块ZnS：Te薄膜样品(Te组分从0．5％到3．1％)的光致发光谱在常压下的温度特性．对于Te组分较小的2块样品观察到2个发光峰，分别来自Te1和Te2等电子陷阱；而对Te组分较大的2块样品则只观察到1个来自Te2等电子陷阱的发光．我们还研究了这些发光峰在低温1．5K下的流体静压压力行为．观察到与Te1有关的发光峰压力系数比ZnS带边的要大很多，而与Te2有关的发光峰压力系数则比带边小．根据Koster-Slater模型，价带态密度半宽随压力的增加是Te1中心有较大压力系数的主要原因，而Te1和Te2中心的不同压力行为则是由于压力对两者缺陷势增强的不同效果引起的．     

国产ME型活性染料配伍性的探讨

测定ME型活性染料不同浓度单色及拼混的比移值，对其在轧染中出现的色光波动进行分析，有利于染色质量的提高。     

基于VXI总线的机载火控系统自动测试仪的设计

目的　对作战飞机火控系统的故障检测 ,传统的方法是使用多种检测仪器对机载火控设备进行性能检查 ,不仅技术含量低 ,也给飞机转场后技术阵地的转移带来不便 ,不能满足现代战争的需要 ,为提高战机的作战效能和快速反应的能力 ,研制了机载火控系统自动测试仪 .方法　采用 VXI总线技术、合理的硬件配置和在 Lab Windows/CVI环境下的软件模块化设计方案 .结果　在实际应用中取得了良好效果 ,为技术人员进行机载火控系统的性能及故障检测提供了便利 .结论　该测试仪具有测试结果准确 ,自动化程度高 ,工作稳定可靠 ,操作简便 ,易于转移和维护等优点 ,并具有较高的抗干扰能力 ,不仅适用与内场 ,还可用于在外场对机载火控系统进行原位检测
