A novel bias-switching scheme for a high-efficiency power amplifier is proposed. Two voltage levels for the drain bias of the RF power amplifier are generated using a combination of a class E dc/ac inverter and a class E rectifier with offset voltage. When signal peaks occur, the output of the class E dc/ac inverter is rectified and the rectified dc is added to the offset voltage by the class E rectifier, which boosts the drain bias of the RF power amplifier. Except during peaks, the drain bias of the RF power amplifier is connected to the offset voltage directly. Since the efficiency when there are no peaks is very high due to the direct connection between the offset voltage and drain bias, the overall efficiency of the RF power amplifier can be improved dramatically in high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) systems. The measured results show that the drain bias of the RF power amplifier is boosted up to approximately 1.8 times the offset voltage when the RF peaks generate. The overall efficiency of the proposed bias-switching amplifier is improved by 62% compared to that of the fixed bias amplifier in high PAPR systems  相似文献

The thermal conductivity of graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) functionalized by the chemical attachment of methyl and phenyl groups at random positions is calculated using reverse nonequilibrium molecular dynamics. The GNRs exhibit a rapid drop in thermal conductivity with increasing degree of functionalization; a functional group coverage regime of as little as 1.25% of GNR atoms reduces the thermal conductivity by about 50%. The thermal conductivity of nanoribbons with zigzag edges is more sensitive in the degree of functionalization than nanoribbons with armchair edges. The simulation results indicate that the rapid drop in thermal conductivity is a consequence of the higher angular momentum of functional groups, which rotate the unsupported sp3 bonds and thus reduce the phonon mean free paths.  相似文献

The new double side approach method combining the mathematical programming and the subdomain method in the method of weighted residual is presented in this article. Under the validation of maximum principle, and up on the subdomain method, the differential equation can be transferred into a bilateral inequality problem. Applying the genetic algorithms helps to find optimal solutions of upper and lower bounds which satisfy the inequalities. Here, the method is first verified by analyzing the deflection of elliptical clamped plate problem under various aspect ratios and further apply it to analyze the clamped super-elliptical plates problem. Novel conductor-backed uniplanar structures, including the nonleaky CPW and slotline, are analyzed and applied to the active antenna design. Both the spectral domain analysis and finite-difference time-domain techniques are used to simulate these circuits and to justify the numerical results. The measured gain of the novel active antenna is 1.7 dB higher than the conventional CPW antenna due to the unidirectional radiation of conductor-backed circuits. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The chemical composition and antioxidant activities of the Korean cactus (Opuntia humifusa, OH) fruit were investigated in this study. Major minerals in the OH fruit were P, Ca, and Mg. Total dietary fiber content was 22.8% and the soluble dietary fiber/insoluble dietary fiber ratio was 1:1.3. An 80% ethanol extract was used to investigate antioxidant activities based on DPPH radical scavenging ability as well as total phenolic and flavonoid content. OH fruit extract from 80% ethanol was sequentially fractionated according to the polarity of solvents. Among various fractions, the ethyl acetate fraction showed the highest antioxidant activity as well as the highest total phenolic and total flavonoid contents compared to other fractions. The most abundant phenolic acid in the ethyl acetate fraction was ferulic acid, followed by protocatechuic acid. The most abundant flavonoid was taxifolin, followed by myricetin. The results suggested that OH fruit could be a good potential source of antioxidant.  相似文献
