Abstract

A combined equation of the expression of optimum transmission angle μ and the loop displacement equation is presented for the synthesis of plane 4‐link function generating mechanisms with the highest minimum (or optimum) μ. The expression of optimum μ is derived via the sensitivity of a function generator, and covers various types of equal deviations of μ between |90 deg‐μmin | and |90 deg‐|μmax |. ABSTRACT

An experimental investigation was carried out to determine the effect of binders and loading pressures on burning performance of B/BaCrO4 and Si/PbO/Pb3O4 delay compositions. The consolidated density and percent theoretical maximum density (%TMD) of these compositions were also studied with different binders and at multiple loading pressures. Carboxyl methyl cellulose (CMC), dextrin, and fish glue with varying wt. % were used as binders. It was observed that the burning rate of these delay compositions was inversely proportional to the binder content. The burning rate of B/BaCrO4 delay composition was 71.0 mm/s without binder. The burning rate decreased to 38.1 mm/s by adding 3.0 % fish glue. When 1.0 % CMC was added to the mixture, the burning rate decreased to 61.8 mm/s. By adding 3.0 % dextrin to the delay composition, the burning rate decreased to 38.2 mm/s. The burning rate of Si/PbO/Pb3O4 delay mixture was 38.6 mm/s without binder. The burning of this mixture decreased to 16.4 mm/s by adding 1.0 % fish glue. The loading pressures were varied from 103 to 414 MPa. The effect of loading pressures on the burning rate of both the delay compositions was marginal. The burning rate of B/BaCrO4 delay mixture decreased with the increase in loading pressure. On contrary, the change in burning rate of Si/PbO/Pb3O4 pyrotechnic delay composition was minimal by varying the loading pressures. Results also revealed that loading pressures of 345 and 348 MPa produced the minimum standard deviation in burning rate of B/BaCrO4 and Si/PbO/Pb3O4 compositions. The consolidated density and %TMD of both mixtures increased by adding binders and increasing the loading pressures.  相似文献

The geometric and structural strengthening of metal components is compared. Combining geometric and structural strengthening has a synergetic effect. A mathematical model of such combined strengthening is presented. The erbium:yttrium–aluminum–garnet (Er:YAG) laser may be effective the bond strength of adhesive systems on dentine surfaces, the chemical composition and aggressiveness of adhesive systems in clinical practice. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of the Er:YAG laser system with the bonding ability of two different self‐etching adhesives to caries‐affected dentine in primary molars. Ninety mid‐coronal flat dentine surfaces obtained from sound and caries‐affected human primary dentine were treated with an Er:YAG laser or a bur. The prepared surfaces were restored with an adhesive system (Xeno V; Clearfil S3) and a compomer (Dyract Extra). The restored teeth were sectioned with a low‐speed saw and 162 samples were obtained. The bond strength of the adhesive systems was tested using the micro‐tensile test method. The data were statistically analyzed. A restored tooth in each group was processed for scanning electron microscopy evaluation. The values of the highest bond strength were obtained from the Clearfil S3‐Er:YAG laser‐sound dentine group in all groups. (24.57 ± 7.27 MPa) (P > 0.05). The values of the lowest bond strength were obtained from the Xeno V‐Er:YAG laser‐sound dentine group in all groups (11.01 ± 3.89 MPa). It was determined that the Clearfil S3 increased the bond strength on the surface applied with Er:YAG laser according to the Xeno V. Microsc. Res. The present study is insight into pollen morphology for characterizing species and their utility in the taxonomic separation of certain taxa of subfamily Nepetoideae (Lamiaceae) from Pakistan. The pollen micromorphology of 11 species of the Nepetoideae was analyzed and documented using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for both qualitative and quantitative characteristics. Most species have hexazonocolpate pollen grains but trizonocolpate and tetrazonocolpate pollen with circular and oval amb were also rarely observed in Mentha spicata. The basic pollen shape in most of the studied species was subspheroidal but prolate grains were also observed in M. spicata, S. coccinea, and S. plebeia. The exine sculpturing of Nepetoideae pollen was taxonomically very informative particularly at subfamily level. Observations of exine sculpturing with SEM revealed various types of pollen grains: reticulate, bireticulate, microreticulate, perforate, aerolate, and gammate. The bireticulate type further subdivided into three subtypes based on the number of secondary lumina in each primary lumen and is characterized by varying characteristics of the secondary reticulum and primary muri. A significant variation was observed in colpus surface ornamentation. The maximum polar diameter was found in O. americanum (58 ± 5.8 μm) and the maximum equatorial diameter observed in O. basilicum (50.25 ± 1.37 μm). Pollen features of the studied species were discussed and compared based on the current taxonomical concepts. The results showed that pollen traits of the subfamily Nepetoideae was found significant to classify the taxa. Furthermore, pollen features provide additional evidence to distinguish macromorphologically similar taxa from each other.  相似文献

Spore morphology of Thelypteridaceae species growing in Malakand Division, Northern Pakistan, was studied using both light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The taxa are Christella dentata and Glaphyropteridopsis erubescens in the subfamily Thelypteridoideae, and Phegopteris connectilis, Pseudophegopteris pyrrhorhachis, and Pseudophegopteris levingei in the subfamily Phegopteridoideae. The studied species exhibit differences in spore size, exospore thickness, color, and ornamentation. Spores of the studied species are monolete and medium‐sized, and shape is ellipsoidal in both polar and equatorial views. The average measurement of the polar diameter ranges from 27 μm to 31 μm, whereas in the equatorial direction it varied from 20 μm to 40 μm. The exospore thickness ranges from 1.2 μm to 2.4 μm. Reticulate, laevigate with microgranules, cristate, and coarsely echinate surface ornamentation are observed among the species. Multivariate analysis including unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean and principal component analysis was used for the grouping and discrimination of species and genera.  相似文献
