Clusterwise pricing is characterized by prices of each brand of a category being equal in stores belonging to the same cluster. Expected sales necessary to compute profits are estimated using coefficients of a multilayer perceptron which performs better than several parametric models. Store-specific coefficients of sales response models are estimated by a MCMC method. Both assignment of stores to clusters and prices of each cluster are determined by means of improving hit-and-run, a stochastic optimization method. The objective function to be optimized includes both profits and adherence to the usual price level at individual stores. Based on empirical data on sales, prices and marginal costs of a retail chain it is demonstrated that for a moderate level of risk aversion clusterwise pricing leads to higher expected utility than micromarketing pricing with different prices of each brand across individual stores. Clusterwise pricing attains a high percentage of the profits generated by micromarketing pricing and entails lower menu costs than micromarketing pricing. H. We demonstrate a novel synchronization scheme for optical sampling which is based on a nonstandard phase-locked loop (PLL). Phase comparison is performed at a 10-GHz optical time-division-multiplexing (OTDM) base rate, thus avoiding ultrafast detectors and electronics. The employed frequency-offset PLL allows synchronous sampling of OTDM signals (or any other signals with bit rates given by integer multiples of the base rate), which would be impossible using a standard PLL. This paper deals with the implementation of a second-order ΣΔ modulator in 0.18-μm CMOS technology. The analog-to-digital converter structure combines a 1-bit approach along with a high oversampling ratio (OSR). A silicon circuit prototype, including the modulator itself, a current reference, and the clock signals generator, was designed to operate with a 1.8-V supply, fabricated and tested. Measured values of 87 dB and 91 dB were obtained for the signal-to-noise-plus-distortion ratio (SNDR) and the dynamic range (DR), respectively, for a clock frequency of 8 MHz and an OSR of 256. The effective number of bits (ENOB) was above 14. The experimental performance of the ΣΔ modulator maintains a good level over a modulator clock range higher than 16 MHz, featuring an ENOB equal to 13 at 16 MHz.  相似文献

Berry pomace is a by‐product of juice processing that, after drying and milling, may be used as an ingredient in cereal‐based products. This, on the one hand, not only reduces losses of edible raw material components, but also increases the nutritional value of the target food because of its high dietary fibre and bioactive compounds content. By using savoury crackers as model, this study analyses how a partial flour replacement by blackcurrant pomace (levels: 10%, 20% or 30%) affects physical properties of the respective dough (dynamic rheology in simulated baking, extensibility and adhesiveness) and characteristics of the baked product (colour, texture and sensory properties). Pomace addition significantly affected both systems. By considering the high moisture absorption capacity of this material through water level adaptation in formulations and by only substituting gluten‐free flour (which led to a constant gluten content), it is demonstrated that even a flour replacement of up to 30% leads to acceptable products. A restrained protein development was observed in pomace containing dough, leading to a lower extensibility, and to reduced volume increase and lower breaking force after baking. In contrast, dough handling and sensory acceptance were not corrupted by pomace application even though colour of the final product was changed to a great extent.  相似文献

An inulin syrup made from Jerusalem artichoke tubers, either in its commercial form or after ultrafiltration, was freeze-dried and used as a prebiotic ingredient in the small-scale manufacture of wafer crackers. The flours used for the preparation of wafer batters were from wheat, rye or spelt wheat, or 1:1 combinations of wheat flour and rye flour or wheat flour and spelt wheat flour. Batter viscosity was strongly influenced by the selection of the flour type, but remained within technologically acceptable limits. The ultrafiltration of the inulin syrup, using a 1 kDa membrane, resulted in a significant reduction of the content of free sugars and minerals which, in turn, had a significant impact on the CIE-Lab color values of the wafer crackers. Using spelt wheat flour instead of wheat flour significantly increased wafer cracker firmness measured by penetration, as did the incorporation of ultrafiltered freeze-dried instead of native freeze-dried Jerusalem artichoke syrup. Sensory analysis revealed a significant influence of product formulation on appearance, flavor and texture of the wafer crackers. It can be concluded from quality scores, which were calculated by using weighting factors assigned to the sensory attributes, that wheat flour may be partially replaced by rye flour or spelt wheat flour without negatively affecting the sensory properties of the wafer crackers.  相似文献

Some Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus strains are able to synthesize exopolysaccharides (EPS) and are therefore highly important for the dairy industry as starter cultures. The aim of this study was to investigate the nutritional requirements for growth and EPS production of Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus DSM 20081. A medium was developed from a semi-defined medium (SDM) in which glucose was replaced by lactose and different combinations of supplements (nucleobases, vitamins, salts, sodium formate and orotic acid) were added. Constant pH batch fermentation with the modified medium resulted in an EPS yield of approximately 210 mg glucose equivalents per liter medium. This was a 10-fold increase over flask cultivation of this strain in SDM. Although not affecting cell growth, the mixture of salts enhanced the EPS synthesis. Whereas EPS production was approximately 12 mg/g dry biomass without salt supplementation, a significantly higher yield (approximately 20 mg/g dry biomass) was observed after adding the salt mixture. In continuous fermentation, a maximal EPS concentration was obtained at a dilution rate of 0.31/h (80 mg EPS/L), which corresponded to a specific EPS production of 49 mg/g dry biomass.  相似文献

Four new Zn(II) and Cd(II) coordination polymers, [Zn(2-AMP)2(N3)2]n (1), [Zn(2-AMP)2(SCN)2]n (2), [Cd(2-AMP)(N3)2]n (3) and [Cd(2-AMP)2(SCN)2]n (4) {2-AMP: 2-Aminomethylpyridine}, have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and elemental analyses. The Zinc(II) oxide and Cadmium(II) oxide nano-particles have been synthesized from thermolysis of 14 at 600 °C under air atmosphere for 4 h. The ZnO and CdO nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). SEM images show the average size of produced ZnO and CdO nanoparticles are 60–70 nm in all compounds.  相似文献

The stereoselective synthesis of chiral 1,3‐diols with the aid of biocatalysts is an attractive tool in organic chemistry. Besides the reduction of diketones, an alternative approach consists of the stereoselective reduction of β‐hydroxy ketones (aldols). Thus, we screened for an alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) that would selectively reduce a β‐hydroxy‐β‐trifluoromethyl ketone. One potential starting material for this process is readily available by aldol addition of acetone to 2,2,2‐trifluoroacetophenone. Over 200 strains were screened, and only a few yeast strains showed stereoselective reduction activities. The enzyme responsible for the reduction of the β‐hydroxy‐β‐trifluoromethyl ketone was identified after purification and subsequent MALDI‐TOF mass spectrometric analysis. As a result, a new NADP+‐dependent ADH from Pichia pastoris (PPADH) was identified and confirmed to be capable of stereospecific and diastereoselective reduction of the β‐hydroxy‐β‐trifluoromethyl ketone to its corresponding 1,3‐diol. The gene encoding PPADH was cloned and heterologously expressed in Escherichia coli BL21(DE3). To determine the influence of an N‐ or C‐terminal His‐tag fusion, three different recombinant plasmids were constructed. Interestingly, the variant with the N‐terminal His‐tag showed the highest activity; consequently, this variant was purified and characterized. Kinetic parameters and the dependency of activity on pH and temperature were determined. PPADH shows a substrate preference for the reduction of linear and branched aliphatic aldehydes. Surprisingly, the enzyme shows no comparable activity towards ketones other than the β‐hydroxy‐β‐trifluoromethyl ketone.  相似文献
