Cost Effective VLSI Architectures for Full-Search Block-Matching Motion Estimation Algorithm

In this paper, we present efficient VLSI architectures for full-search block-matching motion estimation (BMME) algorithm. Given a search range, we partition it into sub-search arrays called tiles. By fully exploiting data dependency within a tile, efficient VLSI architectures can be obtained. Using the proposed VLSI architectures, all the block-matchings in a tile can be processed in parallel. All the tiles within a search range can be processed serially or concurrently depending on various requirements. With the consideration of processing speed, hardware cost, and I/O bandwidth, the optimal tile size for a specific video application is analyzed. By partitioning a search range into tiles with appropriate size, flexible VLSI designs with different throughput can be obtained. In this way, cost effective VLSI designs for a wide range of video applications, from H.261 to HDTV, can be achieved.

用标准Ｃ语言在ＩＢＭ－ＰＣ兼容微机上开发了基于ＰＲＯＳＩＴＥ数据库检索蛋白质序列功能位点的ＰＰＳ程序，ＰＲＯＳＩＴＥ是Ｂａｉｒｏｃｈ建立的蛋白质功能位点或结构模式的资料库，为蛋白质序列分析和结构功能研究提供了新工具。

概述了米塔尔的并购经过和并购特点,着重探讨了米塔尔的管理模式、人员情况、钢铁厂布局、生产经营、主要战略伙伴、研发机构及其生产、采购与销售策略。系统地分析了米塔尔在中国的发展,指出米塔尔在全球钢铁业整合中处于领先地位,米塔尔来中国投资看中的是中国的原料和市场,且运作步伐明显加快,会对中国钢铁企业构成很大的威胁。     

Investigation of texture effect on visual colour difference evaluation

The texture effect on visual colour difference evaluation was investigated in this study. Five colour centers were selected and textured colour pairs were generated using scanned textile woven fabrics and colour‐mapping technique. The textured and solid colour pairs were then displayed on a characterized cathode ray tube (CRT) monitor for colour difference evaluation. The colour difference values for the pairs with texture patterns are equal to 5.0 CIELAB units in lightness direction. The texture level was represented by the half‐width of histogram, which is called texture strength in this study. High correlation was found between texture strength and visual colour difference for textured colour pairs, which indicates that an increasing of 10 units of texture strength in luminance would cause a decreasing of 0.25 units visual difference for the five colour centers. The ratio of visual difference between textured and solid colour pairs also indicates a high parametric effect of texture. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 中频反应溅射SiO2膜与直流溅射ITO膜的在线联镀

多数ITO透明导电玻璃生产线在实现SiO2膜与ITO膜在线联镀时，应用SiO2靶射频溅射沉积SiO2膜工艺和ITO靶直流溅射沉积ITO膜工艺，如果SiO2膜应用硅靶反应磁控溅射工艺，存在这种工艺是否可以与ITO靶直流溅射沉积ITO膜工艺在线联用以及如何实现联用的问题。作者对现有的生产线进行了改造设计、加工，做了大量实验、质谱分析和多项测试研究，成功地实现反应溅射SiO2膜与ITO膜在线联镀，做到SiO2镀膜室的工作状态的变化基本上不影响ITO镀膜室的工艺条件。
