Digitalization shows that data and its exchange are indispensable for a versatile and sustainable process industry. There must be a shift from a document-oriented to a data-oriented process industry. Standards for the harmonization of data structures play an essential role in this change. In engineering, DEXPI (Data Exchange in the Process Industry) is already a well-developed, machine-readable data standard for describing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). In this publication, industry, software vendors, and research institutions have joined forces to demonstrate the current developments and potentials of machine-readable P&IDs in the DEXPI format combined with artificial intelligence. High-temperature treatment of functional nanomaterials, through postsynthesis calcination, often represents an important step to unlock their full potential. However, such calcination steps usually severely limit the preparation of colloidal solutions of the nanoparticles due to the formation of sintered agglomerates. Herein, a simple route is reported to obtain colloidal solutions of calcined n-conductive antimony doped tin oxide (ATO) as well as titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles without the need for additional sacrificial materials. This is achieved by making use of the reduced contact between individual nanoparticles when they are assembled into aerogels. Following the calcination of the aerogels at 500 °C, redispersion of the nanoparticles into stable colloidal solutions with various solvents can be achieved. Although a slight degree of sintering is inevitable, the size of the resulting aggregates in solution is still remarkably small with values below 30 nm. 相似文献

Although the epidemiology, natural history, and pathological aspects of chronic hepatitis C are well-defined in the adult population, little is known about the characteristics of chronic hepatitis C infection in children. Reports on the histological features and progression of hepatitis C in children are scarce, and consist primarily of multicenter studies in Japanese and European children. Given the geographic variations in viral genotype and the association of pathology with genotype, whether the Japanese and European studies can be extended to the North American populations is unclear. We report the histopathology of the liver in 40 children with chronic hepatitis C infection treated in a single North American institution. The children included 19 males and 21 females ranging in age from 2.0 to 18.6 years at the time of liver biopsy (mean +/- SD: 11.4 +/- 4.3 years). Our findings indicate that the characteristic histopathological lesions of chronic hepatitis C infection, including sinusoidal lymphocytosis, steatosis, portal lymphoid aggregates/follicles, and bile duct epithelial damage, occur with approximately the same frequencies in children as have been reported in adults. Necroinflammatory activity was generally mild. Portal fibrosis was present in 78% of the specimens, including fibrous portal expansion (26%), bridging fibrosis (22%), bridging fibrosis with architectural distortion (22%), and cirrhosis (8%). Centrilobular pericellular fibrosis, which has not been previously reported in the context of chronic hepatitis C infection in adults or children, was also a prominent feature in our series, occurring with a similar frequency as steatosis or portal lymphoid aggregates/follicles. Our data suggest that in spite of mild histological necroinflammatory activity in general, the stage of fibrosis in children can be severe in spite of relatively short duration of infection. 相似文献

A variety of dosing schedules have been reported for the hyperventilation method of broncho-provocation testing. To evaluate the effect of challenge technique on the bronchoconstrictive response, we had 16 subjects perform eucapnic voluntary hyperventilation (EVH) with dry, room temperature gas using four different dosing schedules. The hyperventilation challenge dosages included the following: (1) a target minute ventilation (VE) of 20 x FEV1 for 6 min; (2) a target VE of 15 x FEV1 for 12 min; (3) an interrupted challenge with a target VE of 30 x FEV1 for 2 min repeated 3 times; and (4) a target VE of 30 x FEV1 for 6 min. Challenges 2, 3, and 4 gave identical absolute ventilatory challenges (identical factor FEV1 x minutes) but at different VE dosages or time. Challenges 1 and 4 were of identical length, but different target VE. The mean postchallenge fall in FEV1 was 16.6 +/- 10.9%, 11.0 +/- 8.1%, 19.6 +/- 9.9%, and 26.7 +/- 11.3% for challenges 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. The response to an identical EVH challenge (FEV1 x 30 for 6 min) was reproducible when performed on separate days. We conclude that the challenge technique used for hyperventilation testing will have a significant impact on the bronchoconstrictive response and must be taken into account when interpreting study results. Tests may be quantitatively comparable over a narrow range of challenge time and VE. We recommend that a 6-min uninterrupted EVH challenge using dry, room temperature gas at a target VE of 30 x FEV1 be adopted as the "standard" challenge. 相似文献

A parallel implementation of an algorithm for solving the one-dimensional, Fourier transformed Vlasov-Poisson system of equations is documented, together with the code structure, file formats and settings to run the code. The properties of the Fourier transformed Vlasov-Poisson system is discussed in connection with the numerical solution of the system. The Fourier method in velocity space is used to treat numerical problems arising due the filamentation of the solution in velocity space. Outflow boundary conditions in the Fourier transformed velocity space removes the highest oscillations in velocity space. A fourth-order compact Padé scheme is used to calculate derivatives in the Fourier transformed velocity space, and spatial derivatives are calculated with a pseudo-spectral method. The parallel algorithms used are described in more detail, in particular the parallel solver of the tri-diagonal systems occurring in the Padé scheme.

Solid state 27Al and 29Si NMR was used to examine the structures of aluminosilicates and sodium aluminosilicates prepared by the sol-gel method from metal alkoxides. In contrast to the borosilicate system, where B-O-Si bonds are not formed until heat treatment above 150° C, Al-O-Si formation appears complete upon gelation. Aluminium occupies tetrahedral [AlO4]– sites in the polymer network and octahedral [Al(H2O)6]3+ (or similar) sites in the intersticies for charge balance. When sodium is added as a counter ion the octahedral aluminium is converted to tetrahedral aluminium in the oxide network. Automatic synthesis of realistic gestures promises to transform the fields of animation, avatars and communicative agents. In off-line applications, novel tools can alter the role of an animator to that of a director, who provides only high-level input for the desired animation; a learned network then translates these instructions into an appropriate sequence of body poses. In interactive scenarios, systems for generating natural animations on the fly are key to achieving believable and relatable characters. In this paper we address some of the core issues towards these ends. By adapting a deep learning-based motion synthesis method called MoGlow, we propose a new generative model for generating state-of-the-art realistic speech-driven gesticulation. Owing to the probabilistic nature of the approach, our model can produce a battery of different, yet plausible, gestures given the same input speech signal. Just like humans, this gives a rich natural variation of motion. We additionally demonstrate the ability to exert directorial control over the output style, such as gesture level, speed, symmetry and spacial extent. Such control can be leveraged to convey a desired character personality or mood. We achieve all this without any manual annotation of the data. User studies evaluating upper-body gesticulation confirm that the generated motions are natural and well match the input speech. Our method scores above all prior systems and baselines on these measures, and comes close to the ratings of the original recorded motions. We furthermore find that we can accurately control gesticulation styles without unnecessarily compromising perceived naturalness.
