The objective of this work is to provide additional insight on the influence of substituents on heterocyclic piperidine as acid corrosion inhibitors for iron. This series include piperidine and six derivatives. The inhibiting properties of piperidine and these derivatives were investigated in 1 M HCl by potentiodynamic polarization (dc) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements, and inhibition was found to increases as 26dp < 35dp < 2mp < 3mp < pip < 4bp < 4mp. Polarization curves suggest that they can all be considered as mixed-type inhibitors. An attempt to correlate electronic properties of the compounds with their experimental efficiencies using molecular orbital calculation methods did not show any clear-cut relationship.  相似文献

Previously, we reported the identification of a thiazolidinedione‐based adenosine monophosphate activated protein kinase (AMPK) activator, compound 1 (N‐[4‐({3‐[(1‐methylcyclohexyl)methyl]‐2,4‐dioxothiazolidin‐5‐ylidene}methyl)phenyl]‐4‐nitro‐3‐(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonamide), which provided a proof of concept to delineate the intricate role of AMPK in regulating oncogenic signaling pathways associated with cell proliferation and epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) in cancer cells. In this study, we used 1 as a scaffold to conduct lead optimization, which generated a series of derivatives. Analysis of the antiproliferative and AMPK‐activating activities of individual derivatives revealed a distinct structure–activity relationship and identified 59 (N‐(3‐nitrophenyl)‐N′‐{4‐[(3‐{[3,5‐bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methyl}‐2,4‐dioxothiazolidin‐5‐ylidene)methyl]phenyl}urea) as the optimal agent. Relative to 1 , compound 59 exhibits multifold higher potency in upregulating AMPK phosphorylation in various cell lines irrespective of their liver kinase B1 (LKB1) functional status, accompanied by parallel changes in the phosphorylation/expression levels of p70S6K, Akt, Foxo3a, and EMT‐associated markers. Consistent with its predicted activity against tumors with activated Akt status, orally administered 59 was efficacious in suppressing the growth of phosphatase and tensin homologue (PTEN)‐null PC‐3 xenograft tumors in nude mice. Together, these findings suggest that 59 has clinical value in therapeutic strategies for PTEN‐negative cancer and warrants continued investigation in this regard.  相似文献

We report a simple method for the synthesis of alkyl-2-(2-imino-4-oxothiazolidin-5-ylidene) acetate derivatives 3 in good yields under mild conditions. The electrogenerated cyanomethyl base (EGB), obtained from electroreduction of acetonitrile-0.1?M TBABF4, assists the reaction between thiourea derivatives 1 and dialkyl acetylene dicarboxylate 2. The expected products, 3/4, and the structure obtained from X-ray diffraction confirm that the main products are the five-membered heterocycles 3. Furthermore, a mechanism, to explain the reaction pathways, is proposed based on the thermodynamic and kinetic data obtained from quantum calculations.  相似文献

This article discusses the characteristics of turbulent gas–liquid flow through tubular reactors/contactors equipped with screen‐type static mixers from a macromixing perspective. The effect of changing the reactor configuration, and the operating conditions, were investigated by using four different screen geometries of varying mesh numbers. Residence time distribution experiments were conducted in the turbulent regime (4500 < Re < 29,000). Using a deconvolution technique, the RTD function was extracted to quantify the axial/longitudinal liquid‐phase dispersion coefficient. The findings highlight that axial dispersion increases with an increasing flow rate and/or gas‐phase volume fraction. However, regardless of the number and geometry of the mixing elements, reactor configuration, and/or operating conditions, the recorded liquid‐phase axial dispersion coefficients in the presence of screens was lower than that for an empty pipe. Furthermore, the geometry of the screen was found to directly affect the axial dispersion coefficient in the reactor. © 2016 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 63: 1390–1403, 2017  相似文献

We study the development of a mathematical model that describes isothermal microfluidic steady flow in a membrane microreactor, i.e., a silicon microreactor that houses a permeable membrane in one wall. The model employs the Navier-Stokes equation with appropriate boundary conditions for fluid permeation through the membrane and velocity slip at the walls to account for high Knudsen number. The model equations are solved analytically using finite Fourier transforms. The model solution is used to evaluate the effect of fluid permeation through the membrane and the Knudsen number on the velocity profile and pressure drop. For the simplified cases of no permeation and/or no slip, the derived solution is in excellent agreement with published experimental and theoretical results available in the literature. The utility of the model is illustrated by applying the results to a membrane microseparator used to separate hydrogen from the other effluents in a microreformer.  相似文献

The ability of microorganisms to grow at high temperature, alkaline pH, and high salinity makes them an attractive target for enzyme-production with several industrial applications. One strain TN-X30 has been selected as protease producer and identified as Streptomyces mutabilis after a phenotypic and molecular study. Its production of protease was improved using Taguchi L27 design. The strategy was carried out to identify the optimum levels and the interaction of the screened factors. Following this step, maximum protease activity (10,895 U/ml) was achieved after 6-days of incubation. The TN-X30 protease activity had an optimum of pH and temperature of 10 and 65°C, respectively. Thermodynamic parameters at 60°C were enthalpy 14.26 kJ/mol, entropy −220 J/mol/K, and Gibbs free energy 90.53 kJ/mol. TN-X30 protease production displayed a 16-fold increase reaching 175,000 U/ml in a 100-L fermentor. Furthermore, the lyophilization in presence of sorbitol enhanced the stability of the TN-X30 protease which remained active at 75% after 24-months of storage. The lyophilized TN-X30 protease exhibited exceptional stability indexes in presence of some known commercialized detergent components as NEODOL® 25-7, Dehydol® LT 7, Na2 CMC, Galaxy LAS, Galaxy LES 70, Galaxy 110, Galaxy CAPB Plus, and Sulfacid K. The lyophilized enzyme also displayed high stability with respect to both solid and liquid detergents. Finally, TN-X30 protease exhibited remarkable destaining of blood, egg, and chocolate stained cloth pieces. These findings may promote TN-X30 protease for use as bioadditive in detergent formulation, thereby reducing environmental chemical threat.  相似文献

Electrochemical frequency modulation, EFM is a new technique for corrosion rate measurements. With the EFM technique, the corrosion rate and corrosion kinetic parameters can be obtained instantaneously without prior knowledge of Tafel slopes, which makes this method an ideal technique for application as a corrosion monitoring tool. Results obtained with the EFM technique were shown to be in agreement with chemical (weight loss) and electrochemical methods (Tafel extrapolation and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, EIS) for corrosion rate measurements. New synthesized hydrazine carbodithioic acid derivatives namely, N′-furan-2-yl-methylene-hydrazine carbodithioic acid (A), N′-(4-dimethylamino-benzylidene)-hydrazine carbodithioic acid (B) and N′-(3-nitro-benzylidene)-hydrazine carbodithioic acid (C) were examined as corrosion inhibitors for carbon steel in 1 M perchloric acid solution. The results obtained from both chemical and electrochemical measurements show that these compounds suppressed both anodic and cathodic processes of carbon steel corrosion in 1 M HClO4 by adsorption on the electrode surface. The adsorption mode follows the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The efficiency of the inhibitors increases in the order C > B > A.  相似文献

Two welded Ti-6A1-4V pressure vessels leaked prematurely in service. The leaks were caused by cracks emanating from weld porosity. The cracks originated during fabrication, with subsequent growth in service leading to the formation of the leak paths. Pore cracking is thought to be caused by a mechanism that involves both sustained-load and cyclic contributions, with the former being the more prominent. It is shown that the tendency for cracking is influenced by pore position and that pore size is not a deciding factor in that regard. The factors that govern pore cracking are discussed, and the possible role of interstitial embrittlement is assessed.  相似文献

Nanospherical titanium oxide with anatase structure was obtained at low temperature and normal pressure using a simple method of preparation. The dilute titanium (III) chloride solution was stirred at room temperature for several hours, and then ammonium hydroxide with hydrogen peroxide was added. A yellow gel TiO2·xH2O was obtained with nanodot shape and amorphous structure. Heated at 300 °C, it crystallized to pure anatase structure with nanospherical shape. The anatase particles prepared show good adsorption and photodegradation of Congo red solution under the sunlight. Materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, transmission electron microscope and UV spectroscopy.  相似文献
