Fibrous poly(1‐butene) membranes were prepared from solutions using mixed solvents via electrospinning. The electrospun fibrous poly(1‐butene) membranes were stretched at elongations of 8, 16 and 24%, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy and stress–strain analysis showed that the deformation was elastic at an elongation of 8%, while plastic deformation occurred above 16%. The crystalline transformation induced by mechanical stretching was investigated using wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction. The poly(1‐butene) membrane stretched at 24% exhibited decreased diffraction intensity at 2θ = 11.8° and 18.3°, corresponding to the (200) and (213) crystalline reflections, indicating that crystalline transformation from metastable form II to either stable form I or I′ occurred due to mechanical stretching. The purpose of this study is to analyze the color differences in the four fashion collections from New York, London, Milan, and Paris while focusing on 2010 Fall and Winter women's ready‐to‐wear collections. The colors of the fashion collections were collected from American Vogue's website www.style.com and analyzed by using the ISCC –NBS color system which is made up of 10 basic hues of pink, red, orange, brown, yellow, olive, yellow green, green, blue, and purple, and three neutral categories of white, gray, and black. In addition to these 13 categories, yellowish pink, gold, and silver categories were classified. For analysis, one‐way ANOVA, the Scheffe test and the t‐test were adopted. The result of analysis showed that there was a statistical difference in purple compared with the other colors examined. The London collection showed the highest ratio of use in purple, whereas the Milan collection contrarily showed the lowest ratio of use in purple. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An accurate calculation of the size distribution of coarse particles is crucial in the mining and quarrying industry. Machine vision has the capability to overcome many inherent limitations of traditional sieving methods and is an active research area. However, inaccurate image segmentation of particles through software based algorithms is a significant source of error. In this paper, a hardware based approach to improving image segmentation is demonstrated using multi-flash Imaging (MFI), where multiple images captured with different illumination allows depth edges around a particle to be captured through shadow information. The MFI method is compared with conventional segmentation methods such as watershed and Canny edge detection. In order to provide more accurate evaluation of performance wooden spheres of known diameter were evaluated. Imaging the size distribution of pebbles provided a practical scenario in the evaluation of MFI. The results revealed that MFI produced more accurate size estimations than conventional segmentation techniques for both the wooden spheres and pebbles, demonstrating the potential for future use in the mining industry.  相似文献

Monoazo disperse dyes containing a fluorosulphonyl group, based on 4-amino-4'-fluorosulphonylazobenzene derivatives, were dyed on poly(ethylene terephthalate)/cotton blends and their dyeing and fastness properties investigated. A one-bath dyeing method was used, as these dyes can be alkali cleared in the same bath. In particular, the cross-staining of cotton was studied in order to assess their suitability for the one-bath dyeing of poly(ethylene terephthalate)/cotton blends.  相似文献

ZnSe heteroepitaxial layers have been grown on GaAs (100), (110) on axis, and (110) 6° miscut substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. ZnSe on GaAs (110) shows smooth and featureless spectra from Rutherford backscattering channeling measurements taken along major crystalline directions, whereas ZnSe on GaAs (100) without pre-growth treatments exhibit large interface disorder in channeling spectra. ZnSe films grown on GaAs (110) on axis show facet formation over a wide range of growth conditions. The use of (110) 6° miscut substrates is shown to suppress facet formation; and under the correct growth conditions, facet-free surfaces are achieved. Etch pit density measurements give dislocation densities for ZnSe epitaxial layers grown on GaAs (100), (110) on axis, and (110) 6° miscut substrates of 107/cm2, 3 × 105/cm2 and 5 × 104/cm2, respectively. These results suggest that with further improvements to ZnSe growth on GaAs (110)-off substrates it may be possible to fabricate defect free ZnSe based laser devices.  相似文献

 A new hydrodynamic/acoustic splitting method isemployed to predict aeroacoustic tonal noise of self-sustained oscillatory flows over the open cavity at low Mach numbers. Acoustic field is computed using a sixth-order compact scheme and a fourth-order Runge–Kutta method, with acoustic sources obtained from the unsteady incompressible Navier–Stokes calculation. First, numerical accuracy of the present splitting method is assessed for the aeolian tone generated by Karman vortex shedding from a circular cylinder at Re D = 200 and M = 0.3. A direct comparison was made with solutions of direct acoustic numerical simulation (DaNS) and Curle's acoustic analogy. The fundamental mode characteristics of the cavity flows at (i) Reδ* = 850 and M = 0.077 and (ii) Reδ* = 1620 and M = 0.147 are examined by the present method, verifying the solution with the experimentally measured sound pressure level (SPL) spectra. A dual tone characteristic observed in experiment (Henderson 2000) for case (i) is also confirmed computationally by the present method. A joint source channel coding (JSCC) scheme which exploits bit-level correlation as well as symbol-level correlation efficiently in a source-controlled channel decoding (SCCD) process is proposed and applied to the mixed-excitation linear prediction (MELP) parameters of speech. A modified BCJR algorithm is also proposed for use in the SCCD algorithm. Simulation results show that our proposed scheme performs better than other redundancy-based JSCC schemes such as bit-based SCCD, soft-bit speech decoding (SBSD) and iterative source-channel decoding.  相似文献

The classic problem of field computation for an infinitesimal dipole radiating above an impedance half-space is revisited. The expressions for the traditional solution consist of integrals of the Sommerfeld type that cannot be evaluated in closed form and due to their highly oscillatory nature are difficult to evaluate numerically. A method known as exact image theory, which has previously been applied to vertical electric and magnetic dipoles, is used to derive explicit expressions for dipoles of arbitrary orientation above impedance surfaces. Starting from the spectral representation of the field, the reflection coefficients are cast in the form of exact Laplace transforms and then by changing the order of integrations field expressions in terms of rapidly converging integrals are obtained. These expressions are exact, and valid for any arbitrary source alignment or observation position. It is shown that the formulation for a horizontal dipole contains an image in the conjugate complex plane resulting in a diverging exponential term not previously addressed in the literature. It is shown through further mathematical manipulations, that the diverging term is a contribution of the mirror image which can be extracted. Comparison of numerical results from exact image theory and the original Sommerfeld-type expressions shows good agreement as well as a speedup in computation time of many orders of magnitude, which depends on the distance between the transmitter and the receiver. This formulation can effectively replace the approximate asymptotic expressions used for predicting wave propagation over a smooth planar ground (having different regions of validity). The exact image formulation is also of practical use in evaluation of the Green's function for various applications in scattering problems where approximate solutions are not sufficient.  相似文献
