In this study, a non-aqueous method in a simple one pot reaction process was employed to synthesize nano-sized BaTiO3 particles and then electrophoretic deposition technique was employed for thin film coatings. In the first step of the preparation, metallic barium is directly dissolved in benzyl alcohol at slightly elevated temperatures. Then titanium isopropoxide was added following by a solvothermal treatment. At the end of the reaction, nearly spherical BaTiO3 nanoparticles were obtained typically 5 nm in diameter. After establishing the stability of the BaTiO3 suspension in ethanol, electrophoretic deposition process was performed without any additional operation. Alumina with platinum plating was used as substrate. To achieve the optimal process parameters, various voltages were applied by altering the cathode to anode distance as well as deposition time. High voltages application was possible without causing hydrolysis, because of the non-aqueous ethanol medium with higher surface charge of the nanoparticles. The deposited surface coatings were dried in air and sintered at various temperatures. SEM, EDX and XRD analysis were employed for the investigation of the coating.  相似文献

The existence of spectro-temporal receptive fields and evidence for population coding in auditory cortex motivate the development of such models, that explicitly operate in the time-frequency domain and are based on a pulsed neural network. In presenting such a model, a formal connection of the fields of Time Frequency Analysis and Pulsed Neural Networks is established. The resulting neural time-frequency signal representation is shown to be representable as a signal-dependent overcomplete dictionary. It is derived from neural population coding. Signal decomposition and filtering effects are presented, indicating obvious technical applications of the proposed model. A scintillator-based energetic ion loss detector has been successfully commissioned on the Alcator C-Mod tokamak. This probe is located just below the outer midplane, where it captures ions of energies up to 2 MeV resulting from ion cyclotron resonance heating. After passing through a collimating aperture, ions impact different regions of the scintillator according to their gyroradius (energy) and pitch angle. The probe geometry and installation location are determined based on modeling of expected lost ions. The resulting probe is compact and resembles a standard plasma facing tile. Four separate fiber optic cables view different regions of the scintillator to provide phase space resolution. Evolving loss levels are measured during ion cyclotron resonance heating, including variation dependent upon individual antennae.  相似文献

High hydrostatic pressure (HHP) becomes more and more interesting for life science research, since it can be employed to inactivate various cells. To directly monitor "cells under pressure," the development of an optical high-pressure chamber is required. Therefore, an optical pressure chamber that can be used for up to 300 MPa was constructed. This chamber has already been described as a tool for in situ observation of dynamic changes of microscopic structures in bright field as well as phase contrast. In combination with an inverted microscope, we obtained brilliant microscopic color pictures with an optical resolution more than 0.56 microm. Here, we demonstrate the capabilities of the HHP cell, in combination with epifluorescence microscopy. Using a nonadherent human B-cell line (Raji, ATCC CCL 86), stained with the fluorescent dyes propidium iodide, Hoechst 33342, or dihexyloxacarbocyanine iodide, we were able to show that the system is suitable to perform fluorescence microscopic analyses, with pressures up to 300 MPa, with viable mammalian cells.  相似文献

For dynamically measuring position in three degrees of freedom laser tracking systems are well known. Up to now no possibility to measure also orientation using the same laser beam has been known. We present a technique to incorporate orientation measurement into a laser tracking system that requires only minor changes in the existing hardware. The method is based on the analysis of an image of the reflected laser beam intensity distribution. In this image the edges of a slightly modified retroreflector represent a function of the orientation of the end-effector holding the retroreflector. It is shown that from this image the orientation can be determined uniquely and in real time.

A laser tracking system including position and orientation measurement constitutes an instrument to accurately determine robot performance as well as to acquire hints on how to improve robot models and control algorithms.  相似文献
