A novel method for the reconstruction of inhomogeneous permittivity profiles of spherical dielectric objects illuminated by higher order TE/sub mn/ and TM/sub mn/ spherical modes is presented. The overall technique is based on the derivation of Riccati-similar nonlinear differential equations in a spherical coordinate system for both TE and TM illuminations as a part of the direct problem formulation. These differential equations are then inverted using a quasi-linear approach to obtain a closed-form expression of the radially varying permittivity profile of spherical objects in terms of a spherical Fourier-Bessel transform of the measured spectral domain reflection coefficient data. To validate the proposed method, several examples with different mode illuminations and with different noise levels are considered for reconstructions. A good agreement between the actual and the reconstructed permittivity profiles even under high noisy conditions shows that our method is not much sensitive to the presence of noise in the reflection coefficient data.  相似文献

In this paper we use an analytic fluid approach in order to analyze the different features of both Vegas and Reno TCP versions. We then use simulations to confirm our analytic results. When the available bandwidth is high, indeed Vegas can retransmit less than one‐fifth as much data as Reno does, so that the higher the available bandwidth is, the more efficient Vegas is. However, under heavy congestion Vegas behaves like Reno and does not manage to make efficient use of its new mechanism for congestion detection. The analytic results that we obtain are the evolution of the window size, round trip times and their averages, and the average throughput. We propose a new framework in wavelet video coding to improve the compression rate by exploiting the spatiotemporal regularity of the data. A sequence of images creates a spatiotemporal volume. This volume is said to be regular along the directions in which the pixels vary the least, hence the entropy is the lowest. The wavelet decomposition of regularized data results in a fewer number of significant coefficients, thus yielding a higher compression rate. The directions of regularity of an image sequence depend on both its motion content and spatial structure. We propose the representation of these directions by a 3-D vector field, which we refer to as the spatiotemporal regularity flow (SPREF). SPREF uses splines to approximate the directions of regularity. The compactness of the spline representation results in a low storage overhead for SPREF, which is a desired property in compression applications. Once SPREF directions are known, they can be converted into actual paths along which the data is regular. Directional decomposition of the data along these paths can be further improved by using a special class of wavelet basis called the 3-D orthonormal bandelet basis. SPREF -based video compression not only removes the temporal redundancy, but it also compensates for the spatial redundancy. Our experiments on several standard video sequences demonstrate that the proposed method results in higher compression rates as compared to the standard wavelet based compression.  相似文献

This letter introduces a simple ultra-wideband suspended stripline filter with a pass-band from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz and a very wide stop-band up to more than 25 GHz. The filter is realized by capacitive coupling of a quasi-lumped low-pass filter to the I/O ports. Insertion loss in the pass-band is better than 0.5 dB. The filter has a length of 13.8 mm. Excellent agreement is achieved between measured and simulated results.  相似文献

Defects at the surface and grain boundaries of metal–halide perovskite films lead to performance losses of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Here, organic cyano‐based π‐conjugated molecules composed of indacenodithieno[3,2‐b]thiophene (IDTT) are reported and it is found that their cyano group can effectively passivate such defects. To achieve a homogeneous distribution, these molecules are dissolved in the antisolvent, used to initiate the perovskite crystallization. It is found that these molecules are self‐anchored at the grain boundaries due to their strong binding to undercoordinated Pb2+. On a device level, this passivation scheme enhances the charge separation and transport at the grain boundaries due to the well‐matched energetic levels between the passivant and the perovskite. Consequently, these benefits contribute directly to the achievement of power conversion efficiencies as high as 21.2%, as well as the improved environmental and thermal stability of the PSCs. The surface treatment provides a new strategy to simultaneously passivate defects and enhance charge extraction/transport at the device interface by manipulating the anchoring groups of the molecules.  相似文献

Recently, there has been a growing interest in using cylindrical transmission lines that contain magnetized ferrite material in a variety of applications. In this paper, the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method (in cylindrical coordinates) and the spectral-domain analysis (SDA) are used to calculate the propagation characteristics of cylindrical transmission lines that contain magnetized ferrite material. The magnetization can be either in the longitudinal or azimuthal directions. Specifically, the cylindrical microstrip line, and the cylindrical coplanar waveguide printed on magnetized ferrite substrate are analyzed. Both the FDTD and SDA results are in very good agreement. In addition, the results are compared to those of planar structures by taking the radius of the substrate to be large enough such that the curvature effect is negligible  相似文献

The third-generation architectures have to support multiple mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs). They have also to host different types of these virtual operators. Virtualizing these architectures will allow the MVNOs to rapidly deploy their equipment. It will separate the management domain between them and the mobile host operator. It will also allow sharing resources and reducing the deployment cost. Motivated by these requirements, we propose some MVNO distributed architectures. First of all, we evaluate the physical and virtual deployment time, then we define the utility function of the equipment for the different types of MVNOs. The utility function evaluates the gain in deployment time for each type of MVNO. This function has to be maximized. Our study demonstrates that the data calls type is the best MVNO candidate for virtualization. This latter consistently yields the best overall utility across an important number of network equipment to be virtualized by varying the time required for software installation and the time spent to determine the physical position of the equipment.  相似文献

Intermetallic growth and ball shear behavior of annealed Cu wire bonds on Al have been studied. The shear strength of Cu ball bonds decreased with time, and ductile fracture was the dominant failure mode from 125°C to 150°C. Al pad peel-off occurred as the aging temperature was increased above 150°C. The overall Cu/Al intermetallic thickness exhibited parabolic behavior as a function of time. A linear correlation was established between ball shear strength, metal peel-off occurrence, and intermetallic growth. The Cu/Al intermetallic growth activation energy was 0.23 eV, and the intermetallics identified in the experiment were CuAl2 and CuAl.  相似文献

In this paper, we address the problem of cooperation among vehicles in VANET using QoS-OLSR protocol in the presence of selfish nodes. QoS-OLSR is a proactive protocol that considers the Quality of Service (QoS) of the nodes while electing the cluster-heads and selecting the Multi-Point Relay (MPRs) nodes. Cluster-heads and MPRs might misbehave on the roads by over-speeding or under-speeding. Classical and generous Tit-for-Tats are proposed to analyze the interaction among vehicles. However, both strategies are not able to enforce the cooperation due the fact that they (1) count on individual watchdogs monitoring, (2) rely on the node-to-node cooperation decision, (3) and ignore the high mobility and packet collisions. Therefore, we propose a Dempster–Shafer based Tit-for-Tat strategy that is able to improve the decision and regulate the cooperation in the vehicular network. This is done by (1) launching a cooperative watchdogs monitoring, (2) correlating the observations of the different watchdogs using Dempster–Shafer theory, and (3) propagating the decisions among clusters. Thereafter, we compare the Dempster–Shafer based strategy with several strategies derived from the original Tit-for-Tat. Simulation results prove that the Dempster–Shafer based strategy is able to maintain the survivability of the vehicular network in the presence of high mobility and packet collisions with minimal time and overhead.  相似文献

This paper characterizes die damage resulting from various wafer thinning processes. Die fracture strength is measured using ball breaker test with respect to die surface finish. Further study on surface roughness and topography of each surface finish is obtained by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. Stress relief process with 25 μm removal is able to strengthen 100 μm wafer by 20.4% using chemical wet etch and 75 μm wafer by 36.4% with plasma etch. Relatively, plasma etching shows higher fracture strength and flexibility compared to chemical wet etch. This is due to topography of the finished surface of plasma etch is smoother and rounded, leading to a reduced stress concentration, hence improved fracture strength.  相似文献
