The interfacial transition zone (ITZ) is regarded as a key feature for the transport properties and the durability of concrete. In this study one self-compacting concrete (SCC) mixture and two conventionally vibrated concrete (CVC) mixtures are studied in order to determine the influence of compaction on the porosity of the ITZ. Additionally oxygen permeability and water conductivity were measured in vertical and horizontal direction. The quantitative analysis of images made with an optical microscope and an environmental scanning electron microscope shows a significantly increased porosity and width of the ITZ in CVC compared to SCC. At the same time oxygen permeability and water conductivity of CVC are increased in comparison to SCC. Moreover, considerable differences in the porosity of the lower, lateral and upper ITZ are observed in both types of concrete. The anisotropic distribution of pores in the ITZ does not necessarily cause anisotropy in oxygen permeability and water conductivity though.  相似文献

A Sulzer SMX mixer was used to disperse gas into viscous, Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. The investigation covered the effect of the dispersed phase volume fraction, the viscosity of the continuous phase, the mixer length and the power draw. The flow regime was kept laminar in all the experiments. The dispersion of gas was carried out with gas concentrations between 1% and 7% in volume. Using the “process viscosity” concept, it was possible to collapse all the measured sizes on a single master curve by using the energy consumption in the mixer as the common variable between the experiments. Comparison was made with a Kenics mixer. The SMX mixer was found to be better adapted to the dispersion task due to its internal structure.  相似文献

The distribution of cis-4,7,10,trans-13-docosate-traenoic (c4,7,10,t13–22∶4), a peculiar FA previously isolated in the glycerophospholipids of some pectinid bivalves, was investigated in glycerophospholipid classes and subclasses of separated organs (gills, mantle, gonads, and muscle) of the queen scallop Aequipecten opercularis and the king scallop Pecten maximus. Plasmalogen (Pls) and diacyl + alkyl (Ptd) forms of serine, ethanolamine, and choline glycerophospholipids were isolated by HPLC and their FA compositions analyzed by GC-FID. Pls and Ptd forms of serine glycerophospholipids (PlsSer and PtdSer), and to a lesser extend the Pls form of ethanolamine glycerophospholipids (PlsEtn), were found to be specifically enriched with c4,7,10,t13–22∶4. This specificity was found to decrease in the tested organs in the following order: gills, mantle, gonad, and muscle. In gills, c4,7,10,t13–22∶4 was shown to be the main unsaturated FA of serine glycerophospholipids in both Pls and Ptd forms (23.8 and 19.4 mol%, respectively, for A. opercularis, and 21.0 and 26.2 mol% for P. maximus). These results represent the first comprehensive report on the FA composition of plasmalogen serine subclass isolated from pectinid bivalves. The specific association of the PlsSer with the c4,7,10,t13–22∶4 for the two pectinid species can be paralleled to the specific association of the PlsSer with the non-methylene interrupted (NMI) FA and 20∶1(n−11) observed in mussels, clams, and oysters (Kraffe, E., Soudant, P., and Marty, Y. (2004) Fatty Acids of Serine, Ethanolamine and Choline Plasmalogens in Some Marine Bivalves, Lipids 39, 59–66.) This, led us to hypothesize a similar functional significance for c4,7,10,t13–22∶4, NMI FA, and 20∶1(n−11) associated with PlsSer subclass of bivalves.  相似文献

A versatile method for the preparation of dispersed nanotubes using polystyrene-b-polyisoprene diblock copolymers in different selective organic solvents is presented. Stable dispersions have been obtained in polar (DMF) and apolar (heptane) media depending on the selectivity of the diblock copolymers. They have been characterized by means of optical microscopy, TEM imaging and dynamic light scattering, showing the first demonstration of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) solutions with in situ characterization of diblock copolymer stabilization. The most effectively stabilized dispersions have been used to make nanotube/polystyrene composites. We find that the coating of the nanotubes by the diblock polymer does not prevent electrical transport, so that the system can exhibit a relatively high surface conductivity above the percolation threshold. The low percolation threshold experimentally determined is presumably due to weak attractive interactions between the nanotubes as the composites are dried.  相似文献

Polypropylene and ethylene‐propylene‐diene terpolymer (PP/EPDM) blends were melt compounded in a new mixing device, designed in our laboratory under the trademark of RMX®, which predominantly generates elongational flows. Dispersion of the EPDM minor phase in PP was carried out in both RMX® and in an internal mixer (Haake Rheomix 600) at equivalent specific mixing energies and the resultant morphologies obtained by SEM were analyzed and compared. A better dispersive mixing efficiency of the RMX® mixer, i.e., lower Dn and Dv of the dispersed EPDM phase was observed. The impact of elongational flow was more pronounced for blends having a high viscosity ratio p, indicating an enhanced droplet break‐up mechanism, which was attributed to the combination of high shear rates inside the mixing element and important elongational flows in the convergent/divergent zones. The morphology of the blends was correlated with their linear viscoelastic properties by using the Palierne model. Very good agreement was found for the PP/EPDM 80/20 blends but for higher EPDM content, the Palierne model failed to describe the rheological behavior, which was attributed to percolation of the minor phase with increasing the concentration. Higher elasticity at low frequencies was observed for blends processed in the RMX®, which was attributed to a higher generated interfacial area. POLYM. ENG. Fretting corrosion damages are commonly observed when two metallic bodies, which are in contact with each other, are subjected to oscillatory motions of low amplitude. Such kind of degradation mode is often responsible for limited durability of aeronautical joints. In the present paper, a multifunctional duplex coating based on Si–C–N and diamond-like carbon (DLC) materials, combining corrosion resistance and good tribological properties is described. Amorphous hydrogenated SiC, SiCN, SiC/DLC and SiCN/DLC were deposited on steel substrates by a plasma assisted chemical vapour deposition (PACVD) technique, using tetramethylsilane (TMS), ammonia (NH3) or acetylene (C2H2) as gas precursors. Nitrogen incorporation has shown to improve the corrosion protection ability of SiC coatings. The corrosion behaviour and the tribological performance in aqueous media of SiCN/DLC coating have therefore been investigated. A test rig has been designed to validate the fretting resistance of this duplex coating for aeronautic applications. It was found that the combination of a SiCN-based PACVD sublayer with a DLC topcoat could provide an enhanced solution to withstand both fretting and corrosion.  相似文献

Summary The anionic polymerization and copolymerization of butyl and benzyl malolactonates initiated with potassium acetate/dibenzo-18-crown-6 or [222] complex have been studied at 40°C in bulk and in dichloromethane and tetrahydrofuran solutions. Kinetics and polymer molecular weights were followed by SEC. In bulk and for conversion below 30%, molecular weights are close to those calculated for a living process then the conversion increase leads to a significant discrepancy between theoretical and measured molecular weights. In solution, side reactions take place significantly and no evident relationship between molecular weight and initiator concentration can be established, even at low conversion. Same situation was observed in the case of block copolymers synthesis. At last, evidence for transfer reactions has been shown by using model reactions. We investigate the path model checking problem for the μ-calculus. Surprisingly, restricting to deterministic structures does not allow for more efficient model checking algorithm, as we prove that it can encode any instance of the standard model checking problem for the μ-calculus.  相似文献
