A new strategy for synthesis of molecularly imprinted organically modified silica (MIORMOSIL) has been described. The MIORMOSIL was prepared by reacting vinyl acetate and 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate, followed by condensation and hydrolysis with tetraethyl orthosilicate in the presence of caffeine. The ORMOSIL was characterized by SEM, FTIR, 29Si MAS NMR, 13C MAS NMR, TGA, nitrogen adsorption/desorption and tested to extract analyte from coffee samples. The percentage recovery of caffeine 88 ± 5% (n = 9), limits of detection and quantification, 5.14 × 10–4 and 1.71 × 10?3 mmolL?1 respectively, were achieved. Key aspects for the design of integral bridges Since integral bridges are frame structures, special characteristics must be considered in their design. A key aspect are the resulting stresses due to temperature and earth-pressure loads as well as their interaction depending on the stiffness of the structure and the foundation, which will be investigated in this paper. Based on the resulting conclusion the effect of soft layers behind the abutment-wall or in area of the pile head in case of deep foundations on the structure will be assessed. Two polymers of same functional group were used; one with greater chain flexibility, PA 6.6, and the other with two benzene rings in the main chain, PA 6I-6T (aPA), to evaluate how the structure influences on the nanoparticle dispersion homogeneity and on dynamic-mechanical properties. In the aPA nanocomposites, good dispersion and homogeneous distribution were observed for all CNT concentrations. However, PA 6.6 nanocomposites showed agglomerated regions in all formulations. The interfacial energy of the aPA/CNT was five times lower than that of PA6.6/CNT, resulting in greater compatibility in this nanocomposite. An increase of up to 26% was observed with 2.5% of CNT in aPA nanocomposites storage modulus. In the samples with PA 6.6, the increase was at most 5%. Even with greater flexibility of PA 6.6 macromolecules, the π-π interaction between the aPA aromatic rings and CNTs might be the decisive factor for dispersion improvement and positively influence on the dynamic-mechanical properties of these nanocomposites. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A mass balance model of trophic interactions among ten key functional producer and consumer groups in Lake Volta was constructed using the Ecopath model to study the energy flows and species interactions in the lake. The present study was based on secondary and primary data on fish catch, diet composition, phytoplankton and zooplankton biomasses, collected in 2015 and 2016. Additional information on growth parameters of major species required for balancing the Ecopath model was obtained from sampling and FishBase. The functional groups were detritus, phytoplankton, zooplankton, benthos, prey fish, Tilapia, Bagrus, Chrysichthys, Alestes and Synodontis species. Four trophic levels were identified in the Lake Volta ecosystem, with the energy flow occurring mainly within the first three trophic levels. The calculated ecotrophic efficiency value of the primary producers (phytoplankton: 0.17; detritus: 0.22) indicated they were least exploited, compared to the secondary producers, zooplankton (0.80) and benthos (0.50). All secondary consumers had ecotrophic efficiency values higher than the primary producers, indicating they are exploited in the ecosystem. The main energy flows in the lake were from phytoplankton and detritus at trophic level I, and Bagrus species, the top predator, at a level of 3.30. The network analysis, illustrating a connectance index of 0.43 and an omnivory index of 0.06, in the lake system indicated the ecosystem is unstable, somewhat immature and still in a developing stage. 相似文献

In-mold assembly can be used to create plastic products with articulated joints. This process eliminates the need for post-molding
assembly and reduces the number of parts being used in the product, hence improving the product quality. However, designing
both products and molds is significantly more challenging in case of in-mold assembly. Currently, a systematic methodology
does not exist for developing product and processes to exploit potential benefits of in-mold assembly for creating articulated
joints. This paper is a step towards creating such a methodology and reports the following three results. First, it presents
a model for designing assemblies and molding process so that the joint clearances and variation in the joint clearances can
meet the performance goals. Second, it describes proven mold design templates for realizing revolute, prismatic, and spherical
joints. Third, it describes a mold design methodology for designing molds for products that contain articulated joints and
will be produced using in-mold assembly process. Three case studies are also presented to illustrate how in-mold assembly

Selected conducting polymers (polyaniline and poly-N-methylaniline), and copolymers of aniline with o-, m-, and p-phenylenediamines, as well as with metanilic acid, have been electropolymerized at a gold electrode, and studied with Raman spectroscopy (532 nm excitation) in a pH-neutral solution. Characteristic Raman features have been obtained and analysed for (co)polymers within electrode potential range of ?0.4 to 0.2 V vs. Ag/AgCl. Changes in Raman spectra depending on electrode potential have been analysed and assigned to different redox forms of (co)polymers. It has been shown that both oxidised and reduced forms of (co)polymers can exist, depending on electrode potential, even in a pH-neutral solution, where most of the polymers studied show no clearly defined electrochemical redox processes. 相似文献
