Arginine-vasopressin (AVP) was acylated with various acyl azides (2a-j) in pH 9.1 buffer to give AVP derivatives (11a-j) modified at the tyrosine side chain with a carbohydrate via a spacer arm. Glycoconjugates of AVP modified at the N-terminal amide (12a-e) were also synthesized from AVP and carboxylic acids (3a-e) using dicyclohexylcarbodiimide and 1-hydroxybenzotriazole as coupling agent. Analogues (11a-j) exhibited greater in vivo antidiuretic activity than AVP. AVP and glycoconjugates (12a-e) were stable in rat plasma. On the other hand, glycoconjugates (11a-i) were found to readily convert to AVP according to first order kinetics. Hence, 11a-j are considered to be prodrugs of AVP.  相似文献

The oxidation products of14C-α-tocopherol formed by heating with methyl linoleate in an air atmosphere at 60 C or 100 C were investigated. The products included a dimer, trimer and dihydroxy dimer, α-tocopherol quinone and unidentified degradation compounds. The dimer and trimer constituted the major products present after heating for 70 hr at 60 C. After 70 hr at 100 C most of the14C-α-tocopherol had been converted to degradation products; part of the14C originallt present in the 5-methyl group was recovered as14CO2 and14CH3OH.  相似文献

Waste heat - energy that is cooled away from a process - appears at two very different temperature levels. Bioelectric compatibility of electrically conductive halo fixation devices and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging has been largely based on resulting image quality. Previous studies have focused primarily on improving image quality and, although the electrical characteristics of the system during imaging may have been noted, they have not been studied in depth. Utilizing both a theoretical and experimental approximation, this study focuses on the bioelectric characteristics of the pin-patient structures typically enountered in clinical halo fixation systems. Results indicate that the halo pin-patient system can be modelled using a resistor-inductor-capacitor circuit and that simple attempts at improving compatibility through increasing interface resistance by the use of insulated pins may not be an effective approach to improving halo instrumentation compatibility with new, stronger magnetic and higher-frequency resonance imaging systems.  相似文献

Localized wave solutions of free-space wave equation can be used in numerous applications where the localized transmission of electromagnetic energy is of major importance. However, an optical implementation of localized wave fields has not been accomplished yet, except for an ultrashort version of the Bessel beams or the so called Bessel-X pulses. We propose an approach to constructing realizable optical schemes for generation of localized wave fields. We show that wavelength dispersion of the cone angle of axicons and circular diffraction gratings can be used to generate good approximation to focus wave modes.  相似文献
