Four cyclolinear poly(aryloxycyclotriphosphazenes) derived from poly[4,4′‐(isopropoylidene)diphenoxytetrachlorocyclotriphosphazene] and poly[4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenoxytetrachlorocyclotriphosphazene] were synthesized from the reaction of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCP) with 4,4′‐(isopropylidene)diphenol (bisphenol A) or 4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenol (bisphenol AF) in molar ratio 1 : 1 via a one‐step condensation polymerization. Subsequent reaction of the resulted chlorine‐bound polymers with adequate amount of the sodium salts of 4‐methoxycarbonylphenoxide or 4‐propoxycarbonylphenoxide yielded the corresponding chlorine‐free polymers, [poly(tetra‐4‐methoxycarbonylphenoxy)‐4,4′‐(isopropoylidene)diphenoxy cyclotriphosphazene] (MBACP), [poly(tetra‐4‐propoxycarbonylphenoxy)‐4,4′‐(isopropoylidene)diphenoxycyclotriphosphazene] (PBACP), [poly(tetra‐4‐methoxycarbonylphenoxy)‐4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenoxycyclotriphosphazene] (MBAFCP), [poly(tetra‐4‐propoxycarbonylphenoxy)‐4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenoxycyclotriphosphazene] (PBAFCP), respectively. The chemical structures were characterized by Fourier transformer infrared, 1H, and 13C‐NMR. Thermal properties of polymers were investigated using DSC and TGA analysis. The obtained polymers were thermoplastic, having moderate Tg values in the range of 26–78°C and good thermal stability up to 350°C in N2 and O2 gases. The thermal decomposition of the isopropylidene‐containing polymers is a one‐step process, while that of hexafluoroisopropylidene‐containing polymers is a two‐step process. However, presence of the latter group in the polymers backbone showed negligible effects on the thermo‐oxidative stability. The adhesive strength was measured by lap‐shear strength test on glass–glass bonded joint and found to be in the range of 1.78–2.62 MPa, this property may be attributed to the physical interactions between glass–glass interfaces and the polar‐pendant units present at the polymers backbone. The products showed high optical transparency when they applied between two glass surfaces, the adhesive layers were colorless, with the UV cut‐off wavelength of 300–302 nm, and the maximum transparency of about 90% was observed within the wavelengths range of 400–700 nm. Because of their properties, the cyclolinear poly(aryloxycyclotriphosphazenes) synthesized in this study are recommended as potential candidates for high thermally stable, transparent adhesives required in industrial applications. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. (Z)‐3‐((3‐hydroxybenzylidene)amino)pyridin‐1‐ium4‐dodecylbenzenesulfonate anionic surfactant and its cobalt, copper and zinc complexes were synthesized (I, I‐Co, I‐Cu and I‐Zn). The chemical structures of it were characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H‐NMR, UV–Vis spectroscopy and atomic adsorption. The effects of the chemical structures of the synthesized anionic surfactant and the type of transition metals on the surface activity are presented in this paper. The thermodynamic parameters show that adsorption and micellization processes are spontaneous. The results of biological activity measurements showed that the synthesized compounds have a great efficiency against gram positive (Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus), gram‐ negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli) and fungi (Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger) as well as the sulfate reducing bacteria (Desulfomonas pigra). The complexation of the anionic surfactant with Co2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ increase the antimicrobial activity values.  相似文献

A series of PVA/PVP based hydrogels at different compositions were prepared by gamma irradiation. The gel fraction degree of swelling were investigated. Highly stable and uniformly distributed silver nanoparticles have been obtained onto hydrogel networks. The morphology and structure of (PVA/PVP) hydrogel and dispersion of the silver nanoparticles in the polymeric matrix were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), respectively. The formation of silver nanoparticles has been confirmed by ultraviolet visible (UV–vis) spectroscopy. A strong characteristic absorption peak was found to be around 420 nm for the silver nanoparticles in the hydrogel nanocomposite. The X-ray diffraction pattern confirmed the formation of silver nanoparticles with average particle size of 12 nm. The diameter distribution of silver nanoparticles was determined by dynamic light scattering DLS. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) showed almost spherical and uniform distribution of silver nanoparticles through the hydrogel network and the mean size of silver nanoparticles ranging is 23 nm. The good swelling properties and antibacterial of PVA/PVP-Ag hydrogel suggest that it can be a good candidate as wound dressing.  相似文献

Four eco‐friendly nonionic surfactants based on vanillin were investigated as corrosion inhibitors against carbon steel dissolution during the drilling process in the oil field. The corrosion inhibition efficiencies of the tested compounds were determined using weight loss, electrochemical polarization, and electrochemical impedance techniques. The data obtained show that the nonionic surfactants prevent the corrosion of drilling tools and their inhibition efficiency increased with an increase in their concentration. Tafel curves revealed that the surfactants under study act as mixed inhibitors. The adsorption of the inhibitors on carbon steel surface decreases the double‐layer capacitance. The inhibition efficiencies of the surfactants were influenced by their chemical structure and surface activity.  相似文献

Nitro‐phenyl maleimide (NPM), is the organic stabilizer for poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC), has been investigated as thermal plasticization for rigid chlorinated poly (vinyl chloride) (CPVC). Dielectric relaxation of CPVC stabilized with 10 wt% of NPM has been studied in temperature and frequency ranges of 300–450 K and 10 kHz–1 MHz, respectively. An analysis of the dielectric constant, ε′ and dielectric loss index, ε″, was performed assuming a plasticization effect of NPM molecules. The plasticization effect of NPM molecules was confirmed by the behavior of the dielectric modulus M′ and M″ spectra. A clear dielectric α‐relaxation process has been obtained in the studied temperature range. The results showed that NPM reduce the glass transition temperature, Tg, of CPVC by about 20 K. This effect has been assigned to the plasticization effect of NPM. At lower temperatures, dielectric modulus spectra reveal that there is a role of the effect of the electrode polarization in the relaxation process. Direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) offers an attractive operation for the separation of mixtures at atmospheric pressure with reasonable energy requirement. A new simultaneous heat and mass transfer model in DCMD in a hollow fiber configuration is presented. Flow regime in feed and permeate side, the variations of mean temperature and concentration along the membrane module, the length of the membrane, and various properties of membrane characteristics are taken into account in the present model. A system of nonlinear equations describing the DCMD process is solved numerically for each cell using the FSOLVE coding, which is a built‐in function in MATLAB® to find the influence of the temperature and velocity of the feed and permeate streams, and the salt concentration of the feed along the module on the permeate flux. Poly(vinylidene fluoride‐co‐hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF‐co‐HFP) hollow fiber membranes were prepared by using the phase inversion method. The effect of polyethylene glycol (PEG‐600Mw) with different concentrations (i.e., 0, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 18, and 20 wt %) as a pore former on the preparation and characterization of PVDF‐co‐HFP hollow fibers was investigated. The hollow fiber membranes were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and porosity measurement. It was found that there is no significant effect of the PEG concentration on the dimensions of the hollow fibers, whereas the porosity of the hollow fibers increases with increase of PEG concentration. The cross‐sectional structure changed from a sponge‐like structure of the hollow fiber prepared from pure PVDF‐co‐HFP to a finger‐like structure with small sponge‐like layer in the middle of the cross section with increase of PEG concentration. A remarkable undescribed shape of the nodules with different sizes in the outer surfaces, which are denoted as “twisted rope nodules,” was observed. The mean surface roughness of the hollow fiber membranes decreased with an increase of PEG concentration in the polymer solution. The mean pore size of the hollow fibers gradually increased from 99.12 to 368.91 nm with increase of PEG concentration in polymer solution. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. In order to develop and test the integration procedure, in this paper a real time process integration involving the optimization and control of the process is presented, in this case, with the two-layer approach. The used optimization algorithms were Levenberg–Marquardt and SQP that solve a non-linear least square problem subject to bounds on the variables. The two-layer approach is a hierarchical control structure where an optimization layer calculates the set points and manipulated variables to the advanced controller, which is based on the dynamic matrix control with constraints (QDMC). The non-isothermal dynamic model of the three-phase slurry catalytic reactor with appropriate solution procedure was utilized in this work (Vasco de Toledo, E. C., Santana, P. L., Maciel, M. R. W., & Maciel Filho, R. (2001). Dynamic modeling of a three-phase catalytic slurry reactor. Chemical Engineering Science, 56, 6055–6061). The model consists on mass and heat balance equations for the catalyst particles as well as for the bulk phases of gas and liquid. The model was used to describe the dynamic behavior of hydrogenation reaction of o-cresol to obtain 2-methil-cyclohexanol, in the presence of a catalyst Ni/SiO2.  相似文献
