The use of colemanite ore waste (CW) containing boron as a cement replacement material increases the long-term strength of the concrete. Despite this benefit, the use of CW is limited due to the low-early strength of the CW concrete. The study reported below intended to eliminate this problem. The experimental part comprises two stages: in the first stage the possibility of using CW instead of natural gypsum has been investigated through several tests. In the second stage, a number of chemical activators, namely, sulphonated melamine formaldehyde (SMF) condensates, sulphonated naphthalene formaldehyde (SNF) condensates, Na2SO4Na2SO4, and calcium chloride were used. The results showed that replacement of natural gypsum by CW results in an acceptable initial and final setting time of cement and increases the compressive strength of the mortar at long term. The addition of chemical activators into the system accelerated pozzolanic reaction and considerably increased early strength of the mortars. The results also indicate that chemical activators not only alter the rate of cement paste hydration, but the microstructure of mortar as well.  相似文献

Fixed-bed slow pyrolysis experiments have been conducted on a sample of hazelnut bagasse to determine particularly the effects of pyrolysis temperature, heating rate, particle size and sweep gas flow rate on the pyrolysis product yields. The temperature of pyrolysis, heating rate, particle size and sweep gas flow rate were varied in the ranges 350–550° C, 10 and 50° C/min, 0.224–1.800 mm and 50–200 cm3/min, respectively. Under the various pyrolysis conditions applied in the experimental studies, the obtained char, liquid, and gas yield values ranged between 26 and 35 wt%, 23 and 34.40 wt%, and 25 and 32 wt%, respectively. The maximum biooil yield of 34.40% was obtained at the final pyrolysis temperature of 500°C, with a heating rate of 10° C/min, particle size range of 0.425–0.600 mm and a sweep gas flow rate of 150 cm3/min.  相似文献

Thermal barrier coatings generally consist of a metallic substrate which is the primary structural component, a metallic bond coat which serves as oxygen diffusion barrier, a very thin layer of thermally grown oxide and a ceramic top coat that provides the main thermal shielding. Homogeneous ceramic coatings as top coats appear to have certain undesirable features such as high residual and thermal stresses, generally low toughness and relatively poor bonding strength. The new concept of compositional grading of the top coat may help to overcome some of these shortcomings by eliminating the material property discontinuities. A common mode of failure in thermal barrier coatings seems to be the debonding of the top coat. In this study the related interface crack problem for a graded ceramic/metal top coat is considered. It is assumed that the thermophysical properties of the top coat continuously vary between that of the bond coat at the top coat-bond coat interface and that of the ceramic at and near the free surface. The main objective of the study is to examine the influence of the material nonhomogeneity parameters and relative dimensions on the stress intensity factors and the crack opening displacements.  相似文献

The properties of substrates used to deposit thin films are an important parameter in thin film production. Instead of using a commercial substrate, in this work, borate and phosphate glasses have been obtained by classic melt-quenching technique to be used as substrates for CdO films. Also, a microscope glass substrate has been used to compare the coating properties by other glass substrates. All films have been produced by Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis technique. The substrate temperature has been selected as 275 ± 5 °C. Thicknesses and some optical parameters such as refractive index and extinction coefficient have been determined by spectroscopic ellipsometry. Absorbance and transmittance spectra have been taken by UV/VIS spectrophotometer. Four-probe method has been used to determine the electrical resistivity values of the films. XRD investigations have shown that type of the substrate dramatically affects the characteristics of CdO films. CdO film deposited on phosphate glass substrate has the best structural quality. Atomic Force Microscope has been used to investigate the surface properties and roughness values of the films.  相似文献

This paper reports three current mode second order filters, each of which realizes a specific function without any external passive elements. These filters realize low-pass notch (LPN), high-pass notch (HPN) and all-pass (AP) functions. Two OPAMPs, a double output OTA and a single output OTA are employed for each circuit. The filter structures can be easily cascaded since they have high output impedances. This property is especially useful for achieving high-order filters using these LPN and HPN filters as building blocks. The presented theory is verified with macro models in SPICE simulations and, using the SPICE parameters of the layout technology, post layout simulations are carried out, with parasitics extracted from the layouts of the filter chips.  相似文献

This paper presents an analysis of the vertical Bell Laboratories layered space time (VBLAST) receiver used in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless system from the hardware implementation perspective and identifies those processing elements that consume more area and power due to complex signal processing. This paper models a scalable VBLAST receiver based on minimum mean square error (MMSE) nulling criteria assuming a block flat fading channel. After identifying the major area and power consuming blocks, this paper proposes two area and power efficient VLSI architectures for the block that computes pseudoinverse of the channel matrix.
