Nanofluids because of their surface characteristics improve the oil production from reservoirs by enabling different enhanced recovery mechanisms such as wettability alteration, interfacial tension (IFT) reduction, oil viscosity reduction, formation and stabilization of colloidal systems and the decrease in the asphaltene precipitation. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, the synthesis of a new nanocomposite has been studied in this paper for the first time. It consists of nanoparticles of both SiO2 and Fe3O4. Each nanoparticle has its individual surface property and has its distinct effect on the oil production of reservoirs. According to the previous studies, Fe3O4 has been used in the prevention or reduction of asphaltene precipitation and SiO2 has been considered for wettability alteration and/or reducing IFTs in enhanced oil recovery. According to the experimental results, the novel synthesized nanoparticles have increased the oil recovery by the synergistic effects of the formed particles markedly by activating the various mechanisms relative to the use of each of the nanoparticles in the micromodel individually. According to the results obtained for the use of this nanocomposite, understanding reservoir conditions plays an important role in the ultimate goal of enhancing oil recovery and the formation of stable emulsions plays an important role in oil recovery using this method.  相似文献

Optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (O-OFDM) has been widely adopted as a high-speed data transmission technique in visible light communication systems. This technique usually suffers from high peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR). In this paper, a new PAPR reduction technique is proposed for O-OFDM signals. At the transmitter, a matrix transformation with the Gaussian elements is applied to the time-domain O-OFDM signal and at the receiver, the inverse matrix is used to recover the original signal. We show that the Gaussian orthogonal matrices can reconstruct the original signals without degrading the bit error rate (BER) performance. Gram-Schmidt technique is used to orthogonalize the Gaussian matrices. Computer simulations are conducted for 16-QAM baseband modulated symbols and about 3 dB PAPR reduction gain is achieved by the proposed approach compared with conventional O-OFDM.  相似文献

In this paper, the design of all two-input logic gates is presented by only a single-stage single electron box (SEB) for the first time. All gates are constructed based on a same circuit. We have used unique periodic characteristics of SEB to design these gates and present all two-input logic gates (monotonic/non-monotonic, symmetric/non-symmetric) by a single-stage design. In conventional monotonic devices, such as MOSFETs, implementing non-monotonic logic gates such as XOR and XNOR is impossible by only a single-stage design, and a multistage design is required which leads to more complexity, higher power consumption and less speed of the gates. We present qualitative design at first and then detailed designs are investigated and optimised by using our previous works. All designs are verified by a single electron simulator which shows correct operation of the gates.  相似文献

Adulteration in traded medicinal plants is a significant issue nowadays and use of these adulterated medicinal plants can impose harmful impact to end user. However, this problem can be overcome by ensuring the identification of traded medicinal plants which are used in making different herbal medicines. In this regard, palynological markers are considered to be an important taxonomic tool in the identification of original medicinal plant from its adulterant. Hence this study attempted to provide particular reliable palynological markers for distinguishing selected medicinal plants from their adulterants, that is, Cinnamomum verum versus Canella winterana, Cinnamomum tamala versus Cinnamomum obtusifolium, Gymnema sylvestre versus Gymnema lactiferum, Artemisia maritima versus Artemisia absinthium, Achillea millefolium versus Adhatoda vasaka, Sphaeranthus indicus versus Sphaeranthus africanus, Averrhoa carambola versus Butea monosperma, and Morus nigra versus Morus alba. Results demonstrated great variations in multiple palynological characters between original medicinal plant and its adulterant such as in pollen size, shape, colpi length, exine, intine thickness, and fertility. In equatorial view, circular to spheroidal shape of pollen was found in A. millefolium while oblate shape was observed in A. vasaka. Similarly B. monosperma pollen was 34 μm, whereas pollen of its adulterant A. carambola was 21 μm. Moreover, colpi length of A. maritima was 11.8 μm, whereas 4.5 μm in A. absinthium. Hence it can be concluded that palynological characters are commendably helpful in identification of genuine medicinal plant from its adulterant.  相似文献

The high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is one of the main drawbacks in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication systems, which also exists in the optical OFDM (O-OFDM) systems. In this letter, a new approach based on the discrete Hartley transform (DHT) post-coding technique is proposed to reduce PAPR of an O-OFDM signal in visible light communication systems. The proposed method is compared with Walsh-Hadamard transform (WHT) and discrete cosine transform (DCT) techniques in terms of PAPR reduction and bit error rate (BER) performance. Experimental results indicate that the proposed DHT post-coding method remarkably reduces the PAPR of an OFDM signal for optical intensity modulated direct detection systems without any corruption in the BER performance.  相似文献

In this article, a compact dual layer leaky wave antenna array is simulated and constructed using the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based on the TE20 mode at the X‐ and Ku‐bands. The proposed antenna is designed by creating dumbbell‐shaped slots on the upper layer of the SIW. These slots have increased the antenna bandwidth so that the proposed antenna has a bandwidth of 9.5 to 13.7 GHz and a fractional bandwidth of 36%. In addition, to excite the TE20 mode, an SIW power divider is used in the feeding network of the antenna located in the bottom layer. Moreover, the gain and directivity are other advantages of the proposed antenna so that at 12.5 GHz the antenna peak gain reaches to 15.7 dB. Antenna beam scanning angle is from 5° to 81°. This antenna is simulated and analyzed by the CST Microwave Studio software. The obtained results from the antenna test lab confirm the simulation results.  相似文献

Ad hoc mobile networks are free of any infrastructures and their nodes are not aware of the connections of the network locating in, since the structure of these networks is dynamic. To send data to other nodes, each node should detect the sending path and then save it. Due to their dynamic nature, these types of networks face design complexity and limitations such as a lack of specific infrastructure and the change of the infrastructure with passing the time, the limitation of energy, bandwidth, and the considerations of quality and security. Therefore, bandwidth optimization, power and energy control and an improvement in transmission quality are challenges of these types of networks in routing. To meet these challenges, the node clustering methods were welcomed for less energy consumption and longer network lifetime. In this paper, we deal with a systematic literature review of different clustering methods and propose a general categorization for them. Furthermore, we compare the performance the methods as well as the related algorithms and their strengths and weaknesses. Finally, we rank the algorithms regarding the four parameters of transmission range, mobility speed, battery, and connectivity degree using the multi-criterion decision-making and analytical hierarchical process techniques.

We construct two optimal Newton–Secant like iterative methods for solving nonlinear equations. The proposed classes have convergence order four and eight and cost only three and four function evaluations per iteration, respectively. These methods support the Kung and Traub conjecture and possess a high computational efficiency. The new methods are illustrated by numerical experiments and a comparison with some existing optimal methods. We conclude with an investigation of the basins of attraction of the solutions in the complex plane.  相似文献

The performance of a switched‐capacitor circuit strongly depends on its analog switches. This paper introduces a new technique to design a high‐precision analog metal‐oxide‐semiconductor switch for switched‐capacitor applications. The accuracy of analog switches is a critical parameter to determine overall performance of the discrete‐time analog systems. To satisfy the accuracy requirements of the switch, a novel technique to minimize the charge injection and clock feedthrough errors by using a very simple structure is proposed. Moreover, an innovative approach to increase the OFF resistance of the switch and consequently minimizing its leakage current is presented. To evaluate the performance of the proposed switch, simulations are done in TSMC 0.18μm standard complementary metal‐oxide‐semiconductor technology with BSIM3V3 device models. The ON and OFF resistances of the switch are one of the most important factors that should be considered while investigating analog switches. The ON resistance of the proposed switch is less than 560Ω over entire input signal range which completely satisfies the tracking bandwidth requirements. In addition, since the proposed switch provides an ultrahigh OFF resistance in the range of several GΩs, the leakage current of the proposed switch is negligible. Simulation results also show that switch‐induced errors are significantly eliminated by using the proposed cancellation technique. The output error charge due to charge injection and clock feedthrough over a wide range of input signal variation is very low (less than 1.6 fC). Moreover, simulation results show that the proposed switch achieves signal to noise plus distortion ratio of 80.55 dB, effective number of bits of 13.08, total harmonic distortion of ?81.41 dB, and spurious‐free dynamic range of 87.7 dB for a 2.5‐MHz sinusoidal input of 800‐mV peak‐to‐peak amplitude at 200‐MHz sampling rate with a 1.8‐V supply voltage. Consequently, the simulation results verify that the proposed switch can significantly improve the dynamic and static performances of a switched‐capacitor circuit.  相似文献

Polymerization of butene‐1 (B‐1) was carried out with a PP‐TiCl3/Et2AlCl/methyl methacrylate (MMA) catalyst system in n‐heptane. The influence of temperature, pressure, time and H2 on molecular weight, isotacticity, and catalytic activity were studied by viscometry, solubility in boiling diethyl ether, and measuring the polymer produced, respectively. The structural properties of the isotactic polybutene‐1 (IPB‐1) were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and melt flow index (MFI). The molecular weight of the products can be controlled by H2. It was found that the catalyst showed high isotacticity and activity. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
