Applications such as telepresence and training involve the display of real or synthetic humans to multiple viewers. When attempting to render the humans with conventional displays, non-verbal cues such as head pose, gaze direction, body posture, and facial expression are difficult to convey correctly to all viewers. In addition, a framed image of a human conveys only a limited physical sense of presence—primarily through the display’s location. While progress continues on articulated robots that mimic humans, the focus has been on the motion and behavior of the robots rather than on their appearance. We introduce a new approach for robotic avatars of real people: the use of cameras and projectors to capture and map both the dynamic motion and the appearance of a real person onto a humanoid animatronic model. We call these devices animatronic Shader Lamps Avatars (SLA). We present a proof-of-concept prototype comprised of a camera, a tracking system, a digital projector, and a life-sized styrofoam head mounted on a pan-tilt unit. The system captures imagery of a moving, talking user and maps the appearance and motion onto the animatronic SLA, delivering a dynamic, real-time representation of the user to multiple viewers.  相似文献

针对现有融合方法的结果图像不易根据后续处理的要求进行自适应调整, 不同方法的优点不易综合的问题, 借鉴气象领域中的数据同化系统能综合其模型算子和观测算子两者优点的思想, 提出一个基于差分进化的遥感图像融合框架. 在该框架下, 将基于对比度àtrous的Contourlet变换作为模型算子, 独立分量分析和àtrous小波变换作为观测算子, 用差分进化(Differential evolution, DE)算法来优化由图像定量评价指标组成的目标函数, 从而获取更合适的图像. 二组实验从视觉效果和定量指标两方面验证了该框架的有效性.  相似文献

局部描述符(如SIFT)方法能够将图像中关键点的局部表观信息作为图像的特征,具有旋转不变性、尺度变换不变性、仿射不变性等性质,被广泛应用于物体分类、物体识别、图像匹配等领域。但是,它存在一个重要缺陷:只能描述物体的局部特征,忽略了整个物体的构造,而这在表示物体时是非常重要的。设计了一个新的"结构上下文"局部描述符,通过当前关键点和其他关键点间的空间拓扑结构关系描述各个关键点的特征。实验证明这种描述符在描述相同物体种类时特别有效。  相似文献

In this paper,characteristics of flow and convective heat transfer of China RP-3 kerosene in straight circular pipe were numerically studied.Navier-Stokes equations were solved using RNG k-turbulence model with low Reynolds number correction.The thermophysical and transport properties of the China RP-3 kerosene were calculated with a 10-species surrogate and the extended corresponding state method(ECS) combined with Benedict-Webb-Rubin equation.The independence of grids was first studied and the numerical results were then compared with experimental data for validation.Under flow conditions given in the paper,the results show that deterioration of convective heat transfer occurs when the wall temperature is slightly higher than the pseudo-critical temperature of kerosene for cases with wall heat flux of 1.2 and 0.8 MW/m 2.The degree of the heat transfer deterioration is weakened as the heat flux decreases.The deterioration,however,does not happen when the heat flux on the pipe wall is reduced to 0.5 MW/m 2.Based on the analysis of the near-wall turbulent properties,it is found that the heat transfer deterioration and then the enhancement are attributed partly to the change in the turbulent kinetic energy in the vicinity of pipe wall.The conventional heat transfer relations such as Sieder-Tate and Gnielinski formulas can be used for the estimation of kerosene heat convection under subcritical conditions,but they are not capable of predicting the phenomenon of heat transfer deterioration.The modified Bae-Kim formula can describe the heat transfer deterioration.In addition,the frictional drag would increase dramatically when the fuel transforms to the supercritical state.  相似文献

The unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the k SST turbulence model are solved to obtain the steady and unsteady aerodynamic forces for airfoils and wings.The effects of vibration types and amplitudes on aerodynamic forces of airfoils and wings are studied.The deformation characteristics of a swept wing induced by steady aerodynamic load are presented.It is found that for a vibrating elastic wing at small and medium incidences,its mean aerodynamic loads are almost the same as those obtained from the static one.On the contrary,at high incidences especially around the stall incidence,the vibration may change the mean values.In addition,the larger amplitude is,the larger discrepancy will be.For a swept wing,the steady aerodynamic loads usually lead to the "pitching down" effect on the wing tip which delays the stall compared with a rigid one;But this phenomenon dose not occur on a aeroelastic wing which can induce the separation ahead and trigger the stall.The above conclusions are in good agreement with the scatter characteristics of wind-tunnel data.The reason why the data obtained from wind tunnel and CFD are different is also analyzed.Meanwhile,it can be an explanation for scatter phenomenon of wind-tunnel data,especially for high incidence cases,which remains a puzzle so far.  相似文献

Under dynamic conditions, the signals of power system have time-varying magnitude and frequency, which might lead to considerable errors for synchrophasor measurement. The traditional discrete Fourier transform (DFT) based algorithms used in Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) are hard to meet the requirements of measurement accuracy because of the existence of spectral leakage. A dynamic phasor measurement algorithm is proposed in this paper in which the input sampled data are considered as non-stationary signals with amplitude modulation-frequency modulation (AM-FM) form, and the measurement is achieved by AM-FM demodulation. An angle-shifted energy operator (ASEO) is used to extract the instantaneous amplitude and low pass differential filter is introduced for frequency estimation. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the phasor measurement accuracy and has very short response time for PMU under dynamic conditions.  相似文献

Multidisciplinary design optimization of adaptive wing leading edge   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Adaptive wing can significantly enhance aircraft aerodynamic performance, which refers to aerodynamic and structural opti-mization designs. This paper introduces a two-step approach to solve the interrelated problems of the adaptive leading edge. In the first step, the procedure of airfoil optimization is carried out with an initial configuration of NACA 0006. On the basis of the combination of design of experiment (DOE), response surface method (RSM) and genetic algorithm (GA), an adaptive air-foil can be obtained whose lift-to-drag ratio is larger than the baseline airfoil’s at the given angle of attack and subsonic speed.The next step is to design a compliant structure to achieve the target airfoil shape, which is the optimization result of the previous step. In order to minimize the deviation of the deformed shape from the target shape, the load path representation topology method is presented. This method is developed by way of GA, with size and shape optimization incorporated in it simul-taneously. Finally, a comparison study with the Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization (SIMP) method in Altair OptiStruct is conducted, and the results demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献
