Effects of particle size of Al(OH)3 (ATH) filler on electrical properties of ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM)/ATH compounds were studied. It was found that tracking and erosion resistance of EPDM/ATH compounds decreased while dielectric properties and 90°C water resistance were improved with the increase of particle size. Homocharge accumulates in the compounds, which increases first and then decreases with the increase of particle size. This was explained by the change of particle‐to‐particle distance due to filler size.  相似文献

Experiments were performed on the esterification of lauric acid with isopropyl alcohol by tricaprylylmethylammonium chloride in a stirred vessel with a flat liquid-liquid interface. The observed initial rate of reaction was used to analyze the reaction mechanism combined with the catalyst, and to evaluate the several kinds of reaction rate constant, from which equilibrium constants were expressed as a function of reaction temperature. The analysis of reaction kinetics indicated that the reaction was between a very slow and slow reaction regime.  相似文献

Diamond thin films have been deposited using hot filament chemical vapour deposition technique on manually scratched p-Si(1 0 0) substrate, with and without magnesium interlayer. In spite of magnesium melting point being lower (Tm = 649 °C) than the growth temperature of the substrate (Ts  750 °C) used in these experiments, it was found that high quality diamond films could be grown on Mg covered substrate. A liquid substrate is probably generated during the diamond film growth. Raman spectroscopy analysis exhibited only the triply degenerate, zone centre optical phonon peak at 1333 cm−1 indicating that nearly stress free crystallites were present. Broadening of the Raman peak (11.76 cm−1) indicates that some small crystallites also are present. Scanning electron and atomic force microscopy accompanied by X-ray diffraction analysis where used to compare the details of diamond film growth directly on scratched Si(1 0 0) and Mg interlayered scratched Si(1 0 0) substrates.  相似文献

Gender differences were examined in the context of situational effects. Participants monitored interpersonal behavior for 20 days, using an event-sampling strategy. The monitored behaviors reflected dominance and submissiveness (components of agency) and agreeableness and quarrelsomeness (components of communion). The situations reflected differences in the status of work roles: interactions with boss, co-worker, and supervisee. Status influenced agency. Individuals were most agentic when with a supervisee and least agentic when with a boss. Gender did not influence agency but did influence communal behaviors. Women were more communal regardless of social role status; women were especially communal with other women, compared with men with men. Findings about agency supported a social role theory interpretation of gender differences. Significant efforts have recently been made to investigate flow boiling in microchannels, which is considered an effective cooling method for high-power microelectronic devices. However, a fundamental understanding of the bubble motion and flow reversal observed during flow boiling in parallel microchannels is lacking in the literature. In this study, complete numerical simulations are performed to further clarify the boiling process by using the level-set method for tracking the liquid–vapor interface which is modified to treat an immersed solid surface. The effects of contact angle, wall superheat, and the number of channels on the bubble growth, reverse flow, and heat transfer are analyzed.  相似文献

A femoral artery pseudoaneurysm is one complication of vascular intervention, and the incidence is increasing. Early management is then needed to avoid potential dangers from it. It differs from a true aneurysm in that it doesn't include any component of the vascular wall, and is not studied as much as a true aneurysm. Here, a model of a femoral pseudoaneurysm was made and a Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) simulation was verified with PIV experiment. Afterwards, a CFD simulation with two different models was performed to look for any findings which may help in developing new treatment methods.  相似文献

Summary The new polyarylenevinylene, structurally based on a terstyryl group linked by a maleimide group, was prepared from a new dibrominated diphenylmaleimide monomer and p-divinylbenzene by Heck-type Pd catalyzed polycondensation. The polymer was soluble in common organic solvents and had M w and the polydispersity index of 73,600 g/mol and 5.0, respectively. Analysis with IR and NMR indicated that the polymer had a stereoregular vinylene sequence in the backbone of Z, E, E-configurations in series. The polymer showed optical absorption maximums at 353 nm and 444 nm and the bright orange red-colored photoluminescence at 570 nm in a solution and 590 nm in a film. Freeway corridors consist of urban freeways and parallel arterials for alternative use. Ramp metering in freeways and signal control in arterials are contemporary traffic control methods that have been developed and applied in order to improve the traffic conditions of freeway corridors. However, most existing studies have focused on either optimal ramp metering in freeways or progressive signal strategies between arterial intersections. For efficient control of freeway corridors, ramp metering and signal control must be considered simultaneously, as otherwise the control strategies for freeway operation may disturb arterial traffic. On the other hand, traffic congestion and arterial bottlenecks that arise with increasing traffic volume at peak hours and ineffective signal operation may cause problems with accessibility to freeway ramps and degrade the urban freeway’s ability to act as a through-traffic process. This research dynamically estimates the traffic stream between an urban freeway and its ramps according to changes in the freeway structure, traffic passing demand, and control methods due to restricted valid information. The results are then compared with those from other methods. Finally, the integrated control in the urban freeway traffic axis is optimized based on the expected traffic stream, by using design of experiment (DOE), neural network (NN), and a simulated annealing algorithm. Chul-Ho Bae is a PhD candidate at Sungkyunkwan University in Suwon, South Korea. He accomplished fellowship work as researcher at Mississippi State University, USA, in 2003 and 2005. He worked in Institute of Advanced Machinery and Technology (IMAT) as a Research Assistant in 2004. He was a part time Lecturer in computer aided Mechanical Engineering of Ansan College of Technology, Suwon Science College, and Osan College during 2004–2005. He took a BS Degree in Mechanical Design and an MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Sungkyunkwan University. This study presents a different colloidal silver (Ag)/polymer system where Ag nanoparticles are deposited uniformly onto surface-functional porous poly(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate-co-acrylonitrile) (poly(EGDMA-co-AN)) microspheres. The formation and morphology of the composite microspheres were characterized from electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analyses. The significance of the present report is that owing to the high affinity between Ag and nitrile group (CN) on the large surface of the microspheres, the Ag nanoparticles having a face-centered cubic phase were incorporated evenly into the deep pores of the microspheres with fine size and size distribution. In the preservation test, the Ag/poly(EGDMA-co-AN) composite microspheres obtained showed an excellent anti-bacterial performance, elucidating a high applicability for a new preservative.  相似文献
