A wide range of hydrological analyses for flood, water resources, water quality, ecological studies, etc., require reliable quantification of rainfall inputs. This work illustrates a fuzzy analysis that has the capability to simulate the unknown relations between a set of meteorological and hydrological parameters. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of β2-adrenergic receptor (ADRB2) gene polymorphisms on ritodrine therapy outcomes in patients with preterm labor. Genotyping analysis of ADRB2 gene (rs1042713, rs1042714, rs1042717, rs1042718, and rs1042719) was performed on 137 patients with preterm labor. Survival analysis was conducted for the effects of SNPs on the median time to delivery as a primary outcome. The median time to delivery in the study patients was 349.3 h. Gestational age at admission and modified Bishop scores revealed significant effects on time to delivery (p < 0.001). Among studied SNPs, rs1042717 and rs1042718 showed linkage disequilibrium in this population, and their effects on time to delivery were marginally significant (p < 0.1). Patients with variant-homozygotes in the rs1042713 showed considerably shortened time to delivery compared to wild-allele carriers. The rs1042719 polymorphism significantly affected time to delivery in both univariate and multivariate analysis; the GC and CC carriers showed 64% decrease in time to delivery compared to the wild-type homozygote carriers. Based on the results, it was concluded that the gene polymorphisms of ADRB2 could affect ritodrine therapy in patients with preterm labor. However, given the single-center and the relatively small sample size, our hypothesis requires further independent validation using multi-center and large sample size. 相似文献

Bast fibers from stems of kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus, L.), a warm‐season tropical herbaceous annual plant, were dispersed into poly‐L ‐lactide (PLLA) matrix by melt‐mixing followed by compression molding. Low fiber fractions (1–5%) were investigated. The composites showed a slight lowering of thermal stability when evaluated by thermogravimentric analysis. X‐ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry indicated an influence of kenaf on the crystallization of PLLA. The fiber dispersion in the polymer matrix was established by polarized optical microscopy. Scanning electron microscopy showed good fiber–matrix adhesion as revealed by the combination of dispersion, interaction, and crystallinity, which enabled an increase in the mechanical properties of the composite that scaled with concentration. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Although there are various wireless access network technologies with different characteristics and performance level have been developed, no single network that can satisfy the anytime, anywhere, and any service wireless access needs of mobile users. A truly seamless mobile environment can only be realized by considering vertical and horizontal handoffs together. With the advantages of Mobile IPv6, a more comprehensive and integrated framework of heterogeneous networks can be developed. In this paper, we discuss the issues related to handoffs including horizontal and vertical handoffs. We present a scheme for integrating wireless local area network and wide area access networks, and propose a micromobility management method called HiMIPv6+. We also propose a QoS-based (quality-of-service-based) vertical handoff scheme and algorithm that consider wireless network transport capacity and user service requirement. The purpose of the study was to develop and validate a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method which can be further applied to understand the mechanism, kinetics, isotherm, and thermodynamics of bile acid adsorption onto bile acid sequestrants. To investigate these properties a HPLC method was developed using peerless C-8 (150 x 4.6?mm, 5?µm) column with a detection wavelength of 200?nm and run time of about 12.5?min. Bile salts glycocholic (GC), glycochenodeoxycholic (GCDC), and taurodeoxycholic acid (TDC), were used and colesevelam hydrochloride was employed as the bile acid sequestrant. The calibration range was found linear from 10 to 6500?mgL?1 for GC and GCDC and 4to 2400?mg L?1 for TDC. The precision was less than 8.8% and accuracy was found well within the range of 85 to 115%. On treating the data with various established models, it was known that, the adsorption kinetics followed the pseudo second order equation indicating chemisorption mechanism. Equilibrium isotherms revealed that the linear form of Langmuir model was the best fit. The separation factor (RL) calculated revealed that the reaction is favorable and reversible. The positive value of heat of sorption (B) calculated from Temkin model indicated towards the exothermic nature of adsorption. The adsorption energy (E) calculated from Dubinin-Kaganer-Radushkevich model was found to be greater than 8 KJmol?1 conforming chemisorption mechanism. The Gibbs free energy calculated established the affinity of bile salts as TDC?>?GCDC?>?GC. 相似文献
