The antioxidant, phenol, ascorbic acid, electrode corrosion and engineering factors of concentration process of kiwifruit juice by ohmic heating-vacuum conditions (OHVC) were evaluated and compared with ohmic heating under atmospheric conditions (OHAC). Results showed that the total phenol content was decreased with an increasing voltage gradient for both heating modes. The OHVC can better save the antioxidant capacity and ascorbic acid of concentrated samples than the OHAC. The processing time of OHVC was significantly higher than the OHAC at the same voltage gradient (P < 0.05). The electrode corrosion rate at the vacuum mode was 7- to 40-fold higher than the atmospheric mode. The energy efficiency at OHAC was lower than the OHVC. The energy consumption was found in the range of 3.37 to 3.75 MJ kg−1 water for OHAC and 4.08 to 11.09 MJ kg−1 water for OHVC. This study compares two SOFC/GT (solid oxide fuel cell with gas turbine) hybrid systems to that of two standalone SOFC systems via eco-technoeconomic analyses that account for long-term degradation effects. Four cases were examined: 1) standalone SOFC plant without a steam bottoming cycle; 2) standalone SOFC plant with a steam bottoming cycle; 3) SOFC/GT hybrid plant without a steam bottoming cycle; and 4) SOFC/GT with a steam bottoming cycle. This study employed a real-time 1D SOFC model with an empirical degradation calculation integrated with steady-state balance-of-plant models. Simulations used Matlab Simulink R2017a, Aspen Plus V10, and Python 3.7.4 with a pseudo steady-state approach. The results showed that, with some trade-offs, the SOFC/GT hybrid plant with the steam bottoming cycle is the best option, with an overall efficiency of 44.6% LHV, an LCOE (levelized cost of electricity) of $US 77/MWh, and a CCA (cost of CO2 avoided) of -$US 49.3/tonneCO2e. The sensitivity analysis also indicated that SOFC/GT hybrid plants were less sensitive to SOFC price compared to standalone SOFC plants. The sensitivity analysis indicated that using a larger gas turbine and replacing the SOFC stack less frequently was the better design choice for the SOFC/GT hybrid plant. 相似文献

Characterization and calibration of gas sensor is a complex problem due to the dynamic behavior of gases and the limitations of current technology. This article reports a flexible, robust, and autonomous integrated system that is able to perform characterization on metal oxide-based gas sensors in dynamic environments. The system controls the concentration and flow of the relevant gases into the gas chamber and simultaneously measuring the sensor response. This feature allows the characterization of the sensor under continuous dynamic flow of gases similar to conditions on a robot or flow pipes. Several experiments have been performed on the system using hydrogen sulfide. The results provide information on the general characteristics of the sensor as well as its sensitivity. The noise levels were studied with different reference voltages. Overall, the results verify that the system is reliable and able to produce repeatable measurements. 相似文献

The m-machine no-wait flowshop scheduling problem, with the objective of minimizing total completion time subject to the constraint that makespan has to be less than or equal to a certain value, is addressed in this paper. First, an algorithm is proposed to find an upper bound on the makespan in case the upper bound is not given or unknown. Given the upper bound on makespan, a proposed algorithm (PAL) with five versions L (1, 5, 10, 15, and 20) and a genetic algorithm (GA) are utilized for solving the problem. Furthermore, a dominance relation is established for the case of four machines. The five versions of PAL and GA are evaluated on randomly generated problems with different number of jobs and number of machines. Computational experiments show that the errors of PA1 0, PA15, and PA20 are much smaller than that of GA while the CPU times of PA10, PA15, and PA20 are significantly smaller than that of GA. The objective of the study is to develop a spatial prediction model of sand mass and organic matter distribution in an urban stormwater holding pond using in situ measured wet sediment bulk density profile data to spatially distinguish the most likely contaminated sediment deposit areas. The wet bulk density profiles of deposited sediment at 25 locations in the Berembang (Malaysia) stormwater holding pond were measured using a single-probe nuclear density gauge. The sand and organic matter compositions of the surface sediment sample, 5 cm thickness from the bed surface, were determined. Discriminant analysis (DA) was conducted to generate two Fisher’s linear discriminant functions for the prediction of sand mass and organic matter composition areas, respectively. The linear discriminant functions generated better area classifications of surface organic matter composition compared to the sand mass distribution using wet sediment bulk density data measured at more than 15 cm depth levels. 相似文献
