Residual Stress Simulation of Injection Molding

In this study, distribution and history of residual stresses in plaque-like geometries are simulated based on linear thermoviscoelastic model, which helps to understand the mechanics and evolution of the residual stresses in the injection molding process. The numerical calculation of direction, combined with the specified boundary conditions. Results show that the stress variation across the thickness exhibits a high surface tensile value changing to a compressive peak value close to the surface, with the core region experiencing a parabolic tensile peak. Residual stress distribution throughout the thickness is almost same along the flowpath and the final residual stresses value near the gate is lower than the value near the end of flowpath.     

IPv6 delay and loss performance evolution

Although packet delay and loss are two important parameters of the Internet performance, to the best of our knowledge, the evolution of large‐scale IPv6 delay and loss performance has previously not been studied. In this paper, we analyze more than 600 end‐to‐end IPv6 paths between about 26 testboxes of RIPE Network Coordination Centre over two years, and compare the delay and loss performance over time with their IPv4 counterparts. We present and discuss the measurement methodologies and show that IPv6 paths have a higher delay and loss than their IPv4 counterparts. The main reason for the worse performance stems from IPv6‐in‐IPv4 tunnels rather than from native IPv6 paths and such tunnels are still widely used today. Mechanism of resistance microwelding of crossed fine nickel wires

Resistance microwelding of fine crossed nickel wires is of increasing industrial importance for electrical connections in downsized electronic and medical devices, but the understanding of the process is very limited. A study has, therefore, been performed to clarify the basic joining mechanisms, in which the effects of main process parameters (welding current and force and weld time) were investigated by detailed mechanical testing and metallurgical examinations. A bonding mechanism with main process stages (wire cold collapse, surface melting, molten-phase squeeze-out and, solid-state bonding) was proposed. A new technique has also been developed to optimize the process by initiating the welding current well before the electrode force has reached its full nominal value.     

Three perspectives of data mining

This paper reviews three recent books on data mining written from three different perspectives, i.e., databases, machine learning, and statistics. Although the exploration in this paper is suggestive instead of conclusive, it reveals that besides some common properties, different perspectives lay strong emphases on different aspects of data mining. The emphasis of the database perspective is on efficiency because this perspective strongly concerns the whole discovery process and huge data volume. The emphasis of the machine learning perspective is on effectiveness because this perspective is heavily attracted by substantive heuristics working well in data analysis although they may not always be useful. As for the statistics perspective, its emphasis is on validity because this perspective cares much for mathematical soundness behind mining methods.

PRO——一种新的地震资料处理方法

PRO(影像的参数展开)技术是由俄罗斯地球物理学家开发的一种崭新的地震资料处理技术。本文从PRO基本原理入手,简单介绍了PRO的速度分析原理。PRO速度分析和成像均以信号的椭圆展开和参数展开为基础,其中参数展开方法考虑波型转换、介质的横向不均匀造成传播速度的变化。该技术抛开了传统共中心点叠加的思想,从根本上解决了以CMP方法为基础的传统地震处理技术遇到的困难。通过模型与实例分析对比,PRO比传统CMP方法更优越。
