It is mentioned in this paper that the adjustment of flow structure occurs when themain-flow swings.The changes of turbulence structure and flow energy loss in the indoor rivermodel are measured.The experimental data are presented for the first time for the further studyof complicated river flow structure.     

A Model for Flooding Prediction in Circular Tubes

Flooding phenomenon limits the stability and the flow of a liquid film falling along the walls of a channel in which a gas is flowing upwards.As known, the entrainment effect can completely prevent the liquid to fall from its natural flow. The present work proposes a new mechanistic model for the prediction of the onset of flooding in vertical and inclined pipes in the presence of obstructions, as well as taking into account the viscosity effect. The good performance of the model in the different geometrical conditions and for variable viscosities of the liquid component assesses the validity of the hypothesis that the instability of a wavelike disturbance limits the countercurrent flow in a channel.

新墨西哥州卡拉巴塞拉斯(Calabacillas)断层是一条剥露的生长断层。该断层反映了地层粘土的滑抹作用。研究粘土的滑抹作用对于有效预测这种样式的断层封堵性具有重要意义。粘土滑抹露头有的呈连续、逐渐变细的锥形，有的则被次级断层分割成不连续的块状。一些情况下，泥岩层被断层断开而不形成粘土滑抹层。断层带的详细图解显示，涂抹在断层面上的断层泥被多条裂隙断开，从而降低了断层在地质历史时期的有效封堵能力。下盘泥岩层内释放倾斜中继带的存在(releasing dip relays)和断层带生长过程中倾斜中继带(dip relays)的演变对粘土滑抹样式和连续性起主要控制作用。而泥岩层的塑性、成分和厚度则起次要作用。随着断层带的生长，倾斜中继带(dipr relay)断开，粘土滑抹层逐渐被正断层切断：粘土滑抹层先是沿断层移动，最终与其泥岩层分离。滑抹型算法(例如CSP)高估了泥岩层底部断层的封堵性，因为粘土滑抹层常与其泥岩层滑脱。断层封堵预测有一个关键门限值，即断层生长期。在此期间，粘土滑抹锥与泥岩层分开。门限值以下，使用滑抹型算法预测效果最好；门限值以上，磨蚀型算法效果最好。

This paper presents a numerical method for simulation of the flow and thecalculated results of the quasi-steady axisymmetrical flow field and pressure distribution on valveball with power-law model for Non-Newtonian fluid in suck-rod pump.We believe the methodcan provide a foundation for further research and improvement of the design of suck-rod pump.
