Melt rheology and crystallization behavior of polyamide 6 (PA 6) and microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) composites were systematically studied in this research. The incorporation of MCC into the PA 6 matrix resulted in higher complex viscosities (|η*|), storage modulus (G′), and shear viscosities than those of neat PA 6, especially at low frequencies. The orientation of rigid molecular chains in the composites introduced by the addition of MCC induced a strong shear thinning behavior with an increase in MCC loading. The non‐isothermal crystallization kinetics of PA 6 and MCC composites were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. The Avrami and Tobin model were applied to describe the process of non‐isothermal crystallization and to determine the crystallization parameters of the composites. Analysis of the crystallization kinetics indicated that the Avrami (na) and Tobin exponent (nt) was altered by the MCC. The total interaction parameter at infinitely high polymer concentration. χt, and the effective exchange energy parameter, 12, of poly(dimethyl siloxane) with n-pentane, n-hexane, n-heptane and n-nonane were determined around room temperature using the inverse gas chromatography technique. The values of χt are in agreement with corresponding literature values. The exchange enthalpy X12 and entropy, Q12, parameters were determined at the same temperature. The X12 parameters increase with the carbon number of the n-alkanes, while their temperature dependence is almost negligible. The Q12 parameters are approximately independent of temperature and carbon number of the n-alkanes.  相似文献

The relationship between substrate removal efficiency and dispersion characteristics of biological filters was investigated. Flow measurements were made using tap water and a synthetic feed solution. The importance of changes in fluid regime with regard to the simultaneous transport and reaction within the biological filter was demonstrated. Longissimus dorsi (LD) muscles obtained from young bull carcasses (Holstein Friesian) were marinated, using solutions containing 0.5% sodium tripolyphosphate (STP), 0.5% dicalciumhydrogen phosphate (CHP) and 0.5% citric acid (CA). All solutions, including a blank, contained 2% NaCl. Expressible moisture, cooking loss, marinade uptake, area gain (increase in slice size), colour coordinate values (L*, a*, b*), marinade and meat pH, and the textural properties of samples were evaluated. Marinating with STP and CHP solutions resulted lower cooking losses. Marinade uptake and area gain were lower for control steaks and steaks marinated with the CA solution. The highest lightness was found in steaks marinated with the CA solution. Steaks marinated with STP and CHP solutions were darker. The CA solution resulted in yellowness of steaks. All treatments significantly affected hardness, chewiness and resilience values of steaks. The lowest hardness value was found in steaks marinated with CA. STP and CHP treatments also improved tenderness.  相似文献

This study aimed to evaluate the physicochemical, chemical, rheological, sensorial and microbiological properties of yoghurt enriched with polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). The PUFA‐enriched yoghurt was prepared with walnut slurry (10%?50%) and skimmed milk (50%?90%). Compared with the control yoghurt, it contained a lower content of protein, potassium, sodium and phosphorus, and a higher content of fat, iron, magnesium and zinc. Moreover, it exhibited a lower syneresis value and a higher water‐holding capacity value. Its fat was rich in omega fatty acids, mainly linoleic and linolenic acids. These research findings revealed that walnut slurry could be used in yoghurt manufacture to develop fermented milk products as functional foods, especially when enriched with omega fatty acids.  相似文献

Electrorheological (ER) fluids display remarkable rheological behavior, being able to convert rapidly and repeatedly from a fluid to a solid‐like when an external electric field (E) is applied or removed. In this study, electrical and ER properties of poly(Li‐2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate)‐co‐poly(4‐vinyl pyridine), poly(Li‐HEMA)‐co‐poly(4‐VP), copolymeric salts (ionomers) were investigated. For this purpose six ionomers were synthesized with different molar masses. They were then ground‐milled for a few hours to obtain micron size ionomers. The particle sizes of the ionomers were determined by dynamic light scattering. Suspensions of ionomers were prepared in silicone oil (SO), at a series of concentrations (c = 5–30%, m/m). The gravitational stability of suspensions against sedimentation was determined at constant temperature (T = 25°C). Flow times of the suspensions were measured under no electric field (E = 0 kV/mm), and under an external applied electric field (E ≠ 0 kV/mm) strengths and a strong ER activities were observed for all the poly(Li‐HEMA)‐co‐poly(4‐VP)/SO suspensions. Further, the effects of suspension concentration, mole ratios of poly(HEMA) and poly(4‐VP), and the overall molar mass of the copolymers, shear rate, electric field strength, frequency, promoter, and temperature onto ER activities of ionomer suspensions were investigated. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Pure and cadmium (Cd) doped hydroxyapatites (HA, Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2) were synthesized by a precipitation method from aqueous solutions of Ca(NO3)24·H2O for the former and Cd(NO3)24·H2O for the latter, by using (NH4)2HPO4 as the phosphate source, while pH was kept in the range of 11–12. The effect of incorporation of Cd2+ ions into the structure of HA was investigated after the air sintering at 1100 °C for 1 h. The results indicate that Cd2+ addition into HA yields nearly fully densified products with respect to pure stoichiometric HA. The XRD patterns showed that Cd doping increases the crystallinity of HA. The 2, 4.4, and 8.8 mol% Cd doped HAs had calcium oxide (CaO) impurity phase in their lattice. The CaO phase in the HA structure gradually disappeared with increasing Cd amount, and was replaced with cadmium oxide (CdO) in the CdHA doped with 11 mol% Cd. Cd2+ ion incorporation decreased the a- and c-axis lattice constants and unit cell volume of HA.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to examine the effects of augmented reality technology on stories in terms of narrative skill, story length and creativity and also to examine correlations between these variables. Posttest-only design with a nonequivalent group model was used. In this study, the sample consisted of 100 fifth-grade elementary students, comprising 46 boys and 54 girls. Purposive and convenience sampling methods were applied. For purposive sampling, the group’s ages, education levels, and experiences in storytelling activities were gathered, and for convenience sampling, easy access to schools was considered. As data collection tools, a suitable narrative scale was used which was found in the literature and creative story form was developed by the researcher. According to the findings, mean scores for all variables for the experimental group were higher than those for the control group. Also, a statistically significant mean difference was found between the experimental and control groups with regard to narrative skill, length of stories, and creativity in stories. In fact, a positive correlation was found between all variables. It is important to recognize when a technology is found to contribute positively to narrative skill and creativity in telling stories, and to ensure this technology is used. Determining correlation between these variables may provide a contribution to studies about evaluating the effect of the new technologies.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were to define the phenolic and fatty acid profiles, anticholinesterase, antioxidant, antimicrobial activities, and total phenolic-flavonoid contents of Lycopsis orientalis and Tragopogon latifolius var. angustifolius which have been used as food source and food supplement in Anatolia and have never been examined before. Rosmarinic and quinic acids (21.11 and 11.46 mg g–1 extract, respectively) were found to be the most abundant constituents in L. orientalis and T. latifolius var. angustifolius among the studied 27 compounds by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. In the fatty acid compositions of L. orientalis and T. latifolius var. angustifolius that were determined by gas chromatography mass spectrometry, oleic (29.1%) and palmitic (28.7%) acids were identified as the major components, respectively. The high antioxidant activity of the methanol extract of L. orientalis shows parallelism to its rosmarinic acid content. Besides, this extract showed medium anticholinesterase activity. The results of the present study proves that the L. orientalis might also be used as a food source due to its high phenolic acid content and strong antioxidant property.  相似文献
