In this study, an eco‐friendly biosynthesis of stable gold nanoparticles (T‐GNPs) was carried out using different concentrations of tomato juice (nutraceuticals) as a reducing agent and tetrachloroauric acid as a metal precursor to explore their potential application in cancer therapeutics. The synthesis of T‐GNPs was monitored by UV‐visible absorption spectroscopy, which unveiled their formation by exhibiting the typical surface plasmon absorption maxima at 522 nm. The size of T‐GNPs was found to be 10.86 ± 0.6 nm. T‐GNPs were characterised by dynamic light scattering, zeta potential, transmission electron microscopy analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. T‐GNPs were further investigated for their anti‐cancer activity against human lung carcinoma cell line (A 549) and human cervical cancer cell line wherein the IC50 values were found to be 0.286 and 0.200 mM, respectively. T‐GNPs inhibited the growth of cancer cells by generating ROS and inducing apoptosis. T‐GNPs were found highly effective by virtue of their size, metallic property and capping molecules. The number of mobile devices accessing wireless networks is skyrocketing due to the rapid advancement of sensors and wireless communication technology. In the upcoming years, it is anticipated that mobile data traffic would rise even more. The development of a new cellular network paradigm is being driven by the Internet of Things, smart homes, and more sophisticated applications with greater data rates and latency requirements. Resources are being used up quickly due to the steady growth of smartphone devices and multimedia apps. Computation offloading to either several distant clouds or close mobile devices has consistently improved the performance of mobile devices. The computation latency can also be decreased by offloading computing duties to edge servers with a specific level of computing power. Device-to-device (D2D) collaboration can assist in processing small-scale activities that are time-sensitive in order to further reduce task delays. The task offloading performance is drastically reduced due to the variation of different performance capabilities of edge nodes. Therefore, this paper addressed this problem and proposed a new method for D2D communication. In this method, the time delay is reduced by enabling the edge nodes to exchange data samples. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance than traditional algorithm.  相似文献

The extent of the peril associated with cancer can be perceived from the lack of treatment, ineffective early diagnosis techniques, and most importantly its fatality rate. Globally, cancer is the second leading cause of death and among over a hundred types of cancer; lung cancer is the second most common type of cancer as well as the leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Anyhow, an accurate lung cancer diagnosis in a timely manner can elevate the likelihood of survival by a noticeable margin and medical imaging is a prevalent manner of cancer diagnosis since it is easily accessible to people around the globe. Nonetheless, this is not eminently efficacious considering human inspection of medical images can yield a high false positive rate. Ineffective and inefficient diagnosis is a crucial reason for such a high mortality rate for this malady. However, the conspicuous advancements in deep learning and artificial intelligence have stimulated the development of exceedingly precise diagnosis systems. The development and performance of these systems rely prominently on the data that is used to train these systems. A standard problem witnessed in publicly available medical image datasets is the severe imbalance of data between different classes. This grave imbalance of data can make a deep learning model biased towards the dominant class and unable to generalize. This study aims to present an end-to-end convolutional neural network that can accurately differentiate lung nodules from non-nodules and reduce the false positive rate to a bare minimum. To tackle the problem of data imbalance, we oversampled the data by transforming available images in the minority class. The average false positive rate in the proposed method is a mere 1.5 percent. However, the average false negative rate is 31.76 percent. The proposed neural network has 68.66 percent sensitivity and 98.42 percent specificity.  相似文献

Recently, many applications have used Peer-to-Peer (P2P) systems to overcome the current problems with client/server systems such as non-scalability, high bandwidth requirement and single point of failure. In this paper, we propose an efficient scheme to support efficient range query processing over structured P2P systems, while balancing both the storage load and access load. The paper proposes a rotating token scheme to balance the storage load by placing joining nodes in appropriate locations in the identifier space to share loads with already overloaded nodes. Then, to support range queries, we utilize an order-preserving mapping function to map keys to nodes in order preserving way and without hashing. This may result in an access load imbalance due to non-uniform distribution of keys in the identifier space. Thus, we propose an adaptive replication scheme to relieve overloaded nodes by shedding some load on other nodes to balance the access load. We derive a formula for estimating the overhead of the proposed adaptive replication scheme. In this study, we carry simulation experiments with synthetic data to measure the performance of the proposed schemes. Our simulation experiments show significant gains in both storage load balancing and access load balancing.  相似文献

In this paper, we present general formulae for the mask of (2b + 4)-point n-ary approximating as well as interpolating subdivision schemes for any integers ${b\,\geqslant\,0}$ and ${n\,\geqslant\,2}$ . These formulae corresponding to the mask not only generalize and unify several well-known schemes but also provide the mask of higher arity schemes. Moreover, the 4-point and 6-point a-ary schemes introduced by Lian [Appl Appl Math Int J 3(1):18–29, 2008] are special cases of our general formulae.  相似文献

Compressive strength and splitting tensile strength are both mechanical properties of concrete that are utilized in structural design. This study presents gene expression programming (GEP) as a new tool for the formulations of splitting tensile strength from compressive strength of concrete. For purpose of building the GEP-based formulations, 536 experimental data have been gathered from existing literature. The GEP-based formulations are developed for splitting tensile strength of concrete as a function of age of specimen and cylinder compressive strength. In experimental parts of this study, cylindrical specimens of 150 × 300 mm and 100 × 200 mm in dimensions are utilized. Training and testing sets of the GEP-based formulations are randomly separated from the complete experimental data. The GEP-based formulations are also validated with additional 173 data of experimental results other than the data used in training and testing sets of the GEP-based formulations. All of the results obtained from the GEP-based formulations are compared with the results obtained from experimental data, the developed regression-based formulation and formulas given by some national building codes. These comparisons showed that the GEP-based formulations appeared to well agree with the experimental data and found to be quite reliable.  相似文献

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a highly prevalent sleep disorder. The traditional diagnosis methods of the disorder are cumbersome and expensive. The ability to automatically identify OSA from electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings is important for clinical diagnosis and treatment. In this study, we proposed an expert system based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT), fast-Fourier transform (FFT) and least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) for the automatic recognition of patients with OSA from nocturnal ECG recordings. Thirty ECG recordings collected from normal subjects and subjects with sleep apnea, each of approximately 8 h in duration, were used throughout the study. The proposed OSA recognition system comprises three stages. In the first stage, an algorithm based on DWT was used to analyze ECG recordings for the detection of heart rate variability (HRV) and ECG-derived respiration (EDR) changes. In the second stage, an FFT based power spectral density (PSD) method was used for feature extraction from HRV and EDR changes. Then, a hill-climbing feature selection algorithm was used to identify the best features that improve classification performance. In the third stage, the obtained features were used as input patterns of the LS-SVM classifier. Using the cross-validation method, the accuracy of the developed system was found to be 100% for using a subset of selected combination of HRV and EDR features. The results confirmed that the proposed expert system has potential for recognition of patients with suspected OSA by using ECG recordings.  相似文献

Biodiesel is receiving increasing attention each passing day because of its fuel properties and compatibility with the petroleum-based diesel fuel (PBDF). Therefore, in this study, the prediction of the engine performance and exhaust emissions is carried out for five different neural networks to define how the inputs affect the outputs using the biodiesel blends produced from waste frying palm oil. PBDF, B100, and biodiesel blends with PBDF, which are 50% (B50), 20% (B20) and 5% (B5), were used to measure the engine performance and exhaust emissions for different engine speeds at full load conditions. Using the artificial neural network (ANN) model, the performance and exhaust emissions of a diesel engine have been predicted for biodiesel blends. According to the results, the fifth network is sufficient for all the outputs. In the fifth network, fuel properties, engine speed, and environmental conditions are taken as the input parameters, while the values of flow rates, maximum injection pressure, emissions, engine load, maximum cylinder gas pressure, and thermal efficiency are used as the output parameters. For all the networks, the learning algorithm called back-propagation was applied for a single hidden layer. Scaled conjugate gradient (SCG) and Levenberg–Marquardt (LM) have been used for the variants of the algorithm, and the formulations for outputs obtained from the weights are given in this study. The fifth network has produced R2 values of 0.99, and the mean % errors are smaller than five except for some emissions. Higher mean errors are obtained for the emissions such as CO, NOx and UHC. The complexity of the burning process and the measurement errors in the experimental study can cause higher mean errors.  相似文献

In the present paper, the identification and estimation problem of a single-input–single-output (SISO) fractional order state-space system will be addressed. A SISO state-space model is considered in which parameters and also state variables should be estimated. The canonical fractional order state-space system will be transformed into a regression equation by using a linear transformation and a shift operator that are appropriate for identification. The identification method provided in this paper is based on a recursive identification algorithm that has the capability of identifying the parameters of fractional order state-space system recursively. Another subject that will be addressed in this paper is a novel fractional order Kalman filter suitable for the systems with coloured measurement noise. The promising performance of the proposed methods is verified using two stable fractional order systems.  相似文献
