A copolymer of 4‐methoxybenzyl methacrylate and isobornyl methacrylate was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization. The structure of poly(4‐methoxybenzyl methacrylate‐co‐isobornyl methacrylate) was confirmed by means of Fourier transform infrared, 1H‐NMR, and 13C‐NMR techniques. The molecular weight distribution values of the copolymer were determined with gel permeation chromatography. The number‐average molecular weight and polydispersity index values of poly(4‐methoxybenzyl methacrylate‐co‐isobornyl methacrylate) were found to be 12,500 and 1.5, respectively. The kinetics of the thermal degradation of the copolymer was investigated with thermogravimetric analysis at different heating rates. The activation energy values obtained with the Kissinger, Flynn–Wall–Ozawa, and Tang methods were determined to be 166.38, 167.54, and 167.47 kJ/mol, respectively. Different integral and differential methods were used, and the results were compared with these values. Doyle approximation was also used for comparing the experimental results to master plots. An analysis of the experimental results suggested that the reaction mechanism was an R1 deceleration type in the conversion range studied. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Boehmite/multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) composite powders were prepared by hydrothermal processing. Starting chemical of aluminum acetate powders (2Al(OH)(C2H3O2)2) and MWCNTs were mixed for the formation of stoichiometric boehmite powders in an attempt to synthesize MWCNT-reinforced boehmite nano-powders via hydrothermal synthesis at 200 °C for 2 h. Kinetically stable suspensions of MWCNT–boehmite composite powders were prepared and subsequently electrophoretic deposition (EPD) was applied to obtain complex shape products in the form of micro-gears. It is shown that the EPD technique is a powerful tool to manufacture small components in a short time. Detail TEM observations also indicated that hydrothermal processing provides an ideal environment to obtain homogeneous mixtures of MWCNT–boehmite powders due to effective surface functionalization of MWCNTs under hydrothermal conditions.  相似文献

The total lipids and seasonal variations in the fatty acids of the mantle of cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis) captured in the north eastern Mediterranean were investigated and the mantle was found to be a good source of polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω3 PUFAs, in particular). In all seasons, the major fatty acids in the cuttlefish mantle were observed to be palmitic acid (16:0), stearic acid (18:0), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5ω3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6ω3). A comparison of the saturated fatty acid (29.5–36.8%), monounsaturated fatty acids (7.81–9.84%) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (43.7–49.6%) of the cuttlefish mantle revealed that polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) constituted the highest proportion. The levels of DHA in the cuttlefish mantle in autumn, winter, spring and summer were 27.6%, 28.5%, 29.5% and 23.9%, while those of EPA were 16.8%, 15.4%, 14.7% and 13.9%, respectively.  相似文献

In this study, we proposed to investigate how the effect of electron-donating methyl ( CH3) group at p-position of amin ( NH2) group in aminophenol (AP) compound affected thermal stability, optical, electrochemical properties, and conductivity measurement. For this reason, we choice 2-AP and 2-amino-4-methylphenol compounds and synthesized phenolic monomers by condensation reactions 4-fluorobenzaldehyde with aromatic amino phenols. Then, these monomers were converted to their polyphenol derivatives by oxidative polycondensation reactions in an aqueous alkaline medium. Structural characterizations were carried out by FTIR, NMR, and size exclusion chromatography. Cyclic voltammetry was used to determine the electrochemical oxidation-reduction characteristics. Optical properties were investigated by UV–vis and fluorescence analyses. Solid state electrical conductivities were measured on polymer films by four-point probe technique using an electrometer. Sn–3 wt% Cu hypereutectic alloy was directionally solidified upward with different growth rates (2.24–133.33 μm/s) at a constant temperature gradient (4.24 K/mm) and with different temperature gradients (4.24–8.09 K/mm) at a constant growth rate (7.64 μm/s) in the Bridgman-type growth apparatus. The measurements of microhardness of directionally solidified samples were obtained by using a microhardness test device. The dependence of microhardness HV on the growth rate (V) and temperature gradient (G) were analyzed. According to these results, it has been found that with the increasing the values of V and G the value of HV increases. Variations of electrical resistivity (ρ) and electrical conductivity (σ) for casting samples with the temperature in the range of 300–500 K were also measured by using a standard dc four-point probe technique. The variation of Lorenz coefficient with the temperature for Sn–3 wt% Cu hypereutectic alloy was determined by using the measured values of electrical and thermal conductivities. The enthalpy of fusion for same alloy was determined by means of differential scanning calorimeter from heating trace during the transformation from eutectic liquid to eutectic solid.  相似文献

In this article, Metal Inert Gas (MIG) weldability of commercially received and aged samples of 6061-T6 and 7075-T651 aluminum alloys was investigated. The welding joints were prepared in ten different combinations. Microstructure, microhardness, EDX, energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses were used in order to evaluate the effect of aged heat treatment on the performance of welded joints. In addition, the mechanical properties of welding joints were characterized using the tensile and microhardness tests. In conclusion, it was shown that prewelding aging heat treatment improves the mechanical properties of welding joints.  相似文献

The Constant Modulus Algorithm (CMA), although it is the most commonly used blind equalization technique, converges very slowly. The convergence rate of the CMA is quite sensitive to the adjustment of the step size parameter used in the update equation as in the Least Mean Squares (LMS) algorithm. A novel approach in adjusting the step size of the CMA using the fuzzy logic based outer loop controller is presented in this paper. Inspired by successful works on the variable step size LMS algorithms, this work considers designing a training trajectory that it overcomes hurdles of an adaptive blind training via controlling the level of error power (LOEP) and trend of error power (TOEP) and then obtains a more robust training process for the simple CMA algorithm. The controller design involves with optimization of training speed and convergence rate using experience based linguistic rules that are generated as a part of FLC. The obtained results are compared with well-known versions of CMA; Conventional CMA, Normalized-CMA [Jones, IEEE conference record of the twenty-ninth asilomar conference on signals, systems and computers (Vol. 1, pp. 694–697), 1996], Modified-CMA [Chahed, et al., Canadian conference on electrical and computer engineering (Vol. 4, pp. 2111–2114), 2004], Soft Decision Directed-CMA (Chen, IEE Proceedings of Visual Image Signal Processing, 150, 312–320, 2003) for performance measure and validation.  相似文献
