The method of reverberation ray matrix is applied to analyze the dynamic behavior of structural members in trusses with pinned joints subjected to suddenly applied force. The results are compared with those in planar trusses with rigid joints. Detailed calculations are made with two types of trusses, a small laboratory model made of slender aluminum bars, and a hypothetical real size Pratt truss made of structural steel. It is found that the maximum dynamic bending strains in the members of both types of trusses are very large, comparable with the dynamic axial strains in the same member. The magnitudes of bending strains in the pinned truss differs little from those in the truss with rigid joints for both types of trusses. Such a large dynamic bending strain in a structure member, which is contradictory to the static behavior of the same truss, could be caused by the inertial force of the mass in structural members of the truss. 相似文献

The deformation behavior of pure recrystallized molybdenum under cyclic and static loads was investigated in the temperature range between 30°C and 10O°C, for stress amplitudes between 100 MPa and 250 MPa and for static loads up to 200 MPa. The results show that in spite of the low test temperatures and stress levels the Mo material exhibits considerable plastic strains which depend sensitively on frequenez and small changes in temperature.The activation energy deduced for the static and dynamic deformation is less than 0.98 eV which indicates thermally activated processes, to be explained by a dislocation kink model as described in the literature. The low-temperature fatigue behavior appears strongly influenced by creep-fatigue interaction phenomena. 相似文献

In this paper,using complex functional theory,the authors turn the potentialflow around the surface irregularities in a pressure conduit and semi-infinite platforms intoDirichlet problem.Based on Schwarz formula and by the application of Plemelj's formula,theauthors change the problem into the integration of a Cauchy boundary integral equation in theflow plane through the substitution of variables.Using numerical integration,the authors obtainthe velocity distribution and pressure coefficient along surface irregularities and platforms.Thephysical concept of this method is clear,the convergent speed is rapid and the computative effi-ciency is high.The calculated values agree well with the measured results.It is an effective andsimple method in solving potential flow. 相似文献

Optical phase conjugation (OPC) of multiwavelength signals in a dispersion-shifted fiber (DSF), which can be used for dispersion compensation in the wavelength division multiplexing communication system, is theoretically studied. The multiwavelength phase-conjugate signals are generated by four-wave mixing (FWM) in the dispersion-shifted fiber. There are the pulse-shape distortion and the induced frequency chirping in the phase-conjugate signals owing to pump depletion and the cross-phase modulation among the signals and phase-conjugate signals, respectively. The FWM among the pump wave, signals, and phase-conjugate signals causes unequal conversion efficiencies for the multiwavelength signals and enhances the induced frequency chirping in the phase-conjugate signals. The induced frequency chirping may deteriorate the restoration of the pulse shape. Both the pulse-shape distortion and induced frequency chirping increase with the signal and pump powers. The formula for the induced frequency chirping that is only caused by the signals through cross-phase modulation is derived. The requirement of the signal power in the dispersion-shifted fiber for the restoration of the pulse shape by the optical phase conjugation is estimated and numerically verified 相似文献

This paper reports a new, highly integrated modular design approach for pulsewidth-modulation AC-AC converters based on a modular phase-bank structure. Novel high-power 3-in-1 integrated bi-directional power modules (IBPM) rated at 1200-V AC and 150 A and the 3-to-1 phase bank circuits have been successfully developed, fabricated and tested. This enables the modularity design of the multiphase converter systems and reduces the critical parasitic inductance. A theoretical analysis of the IBPM's silicon utilization for this new breed of direct power converters has been outlined. A lab prototype at medium power level has been successfully designed, implemented, and tested with good results. A nearly 460-VRMS out voltage at a 1:0.955 voltage transfer ratio, which, perhaps, is the highest performance reported so far in the literature, has been achieved by the novel two-side modulation control system. The converter-fed AC motor system is able to operate over the 0-240 Hz range with inherent regenerative capability and four-quadrant operation. Micro‐porous syntactic foams were produced by means of integration of glass bubbles into aluminium and zinc matrices. Preforms of glass bubbles were pressure infiltrated with the alloys AlSi9Cu9 ans ZnAl4Cu using squeeze casting. The preforms were sintered thermically without the use of bonding agents. Using the combination of different sintering steps syntactic foams with locally different densities could be produced. The mechanical properties of the foams were tested indicating a high compression strength of the foams and a very good compression energy absorption. Furthermore, corrosion behaviour and behaviour at higher temperatures were investigated. 相似文献
