The quality of germanium crystals deposited from the gas phase by chemical vapor deposition using pyrolytic decomposition of GeH4 in a helium atmosphere at various growth temperatures on silicon substrates was determined.X-ray diffraction and rocking curve measurements proved to be very useful in determining the degree of preferred orientation of the germanium deposit, since they distinguish clearly between the reflections of the thin germanium deposited layer and those of the thick silicon substrate. Therefore they permit fairly accurate calculations. Laue measurements, in this case, proved to be unsatisfactory because of inadequately low resolution. The results show that a preferred orientation of germanium crystallites in the layer of up to 99.9% was reached.  相似文献

Endophytic bacteria hold tremendous potential for use as biocontrol agents. Our study aimed to investigate the biocontrol activity of Pseudomonas fluorescens BRZ63, a new endophyte of oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) against Rhizoctonia solani W70, Colletotrichum dematium K, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum K2291, and Fusarium avenaceum. In addition, features crucial for biocontrol, plant growth promotion, and colonization were assessed and linked with the genome sequences. The in vitro tests showed that BRZ63 significantly inhibited the mycelium growth of all tested pathogens and stimulated germination and growth of oilseed rape seedlings treated with fungal pathogens. The BRZ63 strain can benefit plants by producing biosurfactants, siderophores, indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase, and ammonia as well as phosphate solubilization. The abilities of exopolysaccharide production, autoaggregation, and biofilm formation additionally underline its potential to plant colonization and hence biocontrol. The effective colonization properties of the BRZ63 strain were confirmed by microscopy observations of EGFP-expressing cells colonizing the root surface and epidermal cells of Arabidopsis thaliana Col-0. Genome mining identified many genes related to the biocontrol process, such as transporters, siderophores, and other secondary metabolites. All analyses revealed that the BRZ63 strain is an excellent endophytic candidate for biocontrol of various plant pathogens and plant growth promotion.  相似文献

Shortcomings related to the treatment of bone diseases and consequent tissue regeneration such as transplants have been addressed to some extent by tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Tissue engineering has promoted structures that can simulate the extracellular matrix and are capable of guiding natural bone repair using signaling molecules to promote osteoinduction and angiogenesis essential in the formation of new bone tissues. Although recent studies on developing novel growth factor delivery systems for bone repair have attracted great attention, taking into account the complexity of the extracellular matrix, scaffolding and growth factors should not be explored independently. Consequently, systems that combine both concepts have great potential to promote the effectiveness of bone regeneration methods. In this review, recent developments in bone regeneration that simultaneously consider scaffolding and growth factors are covered in detail. The main emphasis in this overview is on delivery strategies that employ polymer-based scaffolds for spatiotemporal-controlled delivery of both single and multiple growth factors in bone-regeneration approaches. From clinical applications to creating alternative structural materials, bone tissue engineering has been advancing constantly, and it is relevant to regularly update related topics.  相似文献

The pectic polysaccharide cirsiuman CE was extracted from the stems of the ground thistle Cirsium esculentum Siev. using 0.7% aqueous ammonium oxalate, yielding 10.4% of the air-dried material. The backbone of cirsiuman was proved to consist of 1,4-α-d-galactopyranosyluronan blocks interconnected by 1,2-linked l-rhamnose residues. The side chains were attached to the 4-position of the l-rhamnopyranose residues. The side chains include 1,4-β-galactopyranan, which contains 3,4- and 4,6-substituted d-galactopyranose residues as branched points, and 1,5-α-arabinofuranan bearing 3,5-substituted α-l-arabinofuranose residues as the branching points. Oral administration of cirsiuman was found to prevent induction of oral tolerance to ovalbumin (OVA), increased the levels of serum IgG2a, and downregulated serum IgE responses, therefore it was tested for anti-allergic properties. The score of systemic anaphylactic reaction and the levels of both serum IgE and IL-4 were found to decrease; however, IFN-γ response was upregulated by cirsiuman feeding.  相似文献

In addition to the respective pore space geometries, transport enhancement in hierarchical nanoporous materials may most decisively depend on the nature of the probe molecule under consideration. As a function of these two influences, mass transfer in hierarchical materials may follow quite different scenarios. Considering mass transfer enhancement by a network of mesopores within a microporous continuum, this work presents an approach to assess these influences quantitatively. The validity of this approach is tested by dynamic Monte Carlo simulations and by comparison with the results of diffusion measurements.  相似文献

The study focuses on the aspect of using the structure of gasars, i.e. materials with directed open porosity, as a potential hydrogen storage. The structure of the tested gasar is composed of a large number of thin, open tubular pores running through the entire longitudinal section of the sample. This allows hydrogen to easily penetrate into the entire sample volume. The analysis of pore distribution showed that the longest diffusion path needed for full penetration of the metal structure with hydrogen is about L = 50–70 μm, regardless of the external dimensions of the sample. Attempts to hydrogenate the magnesium gasar structure have shown its ability to accumulate hydrogen at a level of 1 wt%. The obtained results were compared with the best result was obtained for the ZK60 alloy after equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) and crushed to a powder form. The result obtained exceeded 4 wt% of hydrogen accumulated in the metal structure, at theoretical 6.9 wt% maximum capacity. A model analysis of the theoretic absorption capacity of pure magnesium was also carried out based on the concentration of vacancies in the metal structure. The theoretical results obtained correlate well with experimental data.  相似文献

This paper reports impedance studies of a dual membrane fuel cell - an innovative design based on the idea for a junction between an oxygen ion conducting cathode/electrolyte part and proton conducting anode/electrolyte part through a mixed oxygen ion and proton conducting porous membrane. Thus oxygen, hydrogen and water are located in three independent chambers. This concept allows avoiding all the severe pitfalls connected to the presence of water at electrodes in both SOFC and PCFC. The performed measurements of the 3 compartments and the data analysis are improved by introducing some specialized approaches and techniques, which are discussed. The impedance contribution in the proof of the new concept is also presented.  相似文献
