In this study, total phenolic contents and antioxidant activities of grape seed extracts obtained from twelve different grape seeds from common varieties grown in Turkey were determined. Grape seeds were extracted with 70% acetone and extraction yield of grape seed were calculated. The total phenolic content of grape seed extracts were determined by the Folin‐Ciocalteu procedure and ranged from 33 945 to 58 730 mg per 100 g extract as gallic acid equivalent. Antioxidant activities of grape seed extracts with two different free radical scavenging methods, ABTS [2,2/‐azinobis (3‐ethylbenzothiazoneline‐6‐sulfonic acid)] and DPPH (2,2‐diphenyl‐picrylhydrazyl) assays, using Trolox equivalent as standards, were investigated. Grape seed extracts exhibited antioxidant activities 2.46–4.14 and 3.55–5.76 [Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacities (TEAC) mg?1 extracts] in ABTS and DPPH assays, respectively. Compared with varieties, Muskule extracts exhibited the lowest total phenolic content, TEACABTS and TEACDPPH value while Narince extracts had the highest total phenolic content and TEACDPPH value, and Alphonse Lavalleé had the highest TEACABTS value. Total phenolic content showed that there is a significant correlation with TEACDPPH (r = 0.7974, P ≤ 0.001) and TEACABTS values (r = 0.4860, P ≤ 0.05).  相似文献

A new and simple solid‐phase extraction method for the determination of trace levels of sunset yellow has been developed on Diaion HP 2MG column system. The adsorbed sunset yellow on the resin was eluted with 3 mL of methanol and determined by UV–Vis spectrophotometry at 484 nm. Various experimental parameters such as pH, amount of sunset yellow, flow rates of sample and eluent solutions, resin amount, sample volumes, etc. were investigated. The influences of some alkali, alkali earth and transition metals on the recoveries of sunset yellow were investigated. The recovery values for sunset yellow were higher than 95%. Preconcentration factor was found as 150. The detection limit (three sigma) of the reagent blank for sunset yellow was 5.2 μg L?1. The relative standard deviations (RSD) of the procedure were found as 3.9%. The validation of the presented procedure was performed by the method of standard addition. The procedure was successfully applied to the determination of trace levels of sunset yellow in powdered beverage and confectionery products.  相似文献

Proximate composition and fatty acid (FA) profile of three commercial sea cucumbers; Holothuria tubulosa, Holothuria polii and Holothuria mammata caught from Aegean Sea of Turkey were analysed. The effects of regional variation and drying process on FA composition were also investigated. Moisture, protein, fat and ash contents of the species ranged between 81.24% and 85.24%, 7.88% and 8.82%, 0.09% and 0.18%, and 5.13% and 7.85%, respectively, with a significant changes among species (P < 0.05) with some exceptions. Although FA values varied significantly (P < 0.05) among species and regions, the changes for most FA types representing the same region for different species were not significantly different. Total polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) were found to be higher than total saturated (SFA) and monosaturated FAs (MUFA) accounting for 53.0–62.12% for ∑PUFA, 13.28–16.41% for ∑MUFA and 13.99–19.21% for ∑SFA. While some individual SFAs and PUFAs decreased after drying process, various individual FAs of MUFA increased in their amounts (P < 0.05). Among PUFAs, the highest mean value of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid for all regions were determined for H. polii as 7.25% and H. tubulosa as 12.37% in fresh samples, respectively. This study represents new information relating to FA contents and drying effect on FA profile for these species.  相似文献

A new low band gap electrochromic polymer containing of 3-(2,5-di-2-thienyl-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)-9-ethyl-9H-carbazole (SNSC) and 2,1,3-benzoselenadiazole (BSe) moiety has been reported. Structural identification of initial compounds and product were carried out by using FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy results. The resulting polymer, poly(SNSC-BSe), was completely soluble in various common organic solvents and its weight-average molecular weight (Mw) were 9420 (PDI: 1.22). According to AFM results, the RMS (root mean surface) roughness of poly-(SNSC-BSe) was found to be 48.6 nm. Besides, the thermogravimetric analysis presented that the poly(SNSC-BSe) is moderately stable against to thermal effect with the initial degradation temperature at 182 °C. The lowest energy transition band maxima of poly(SNSC-BSe) was 498 nm in thin film and the optical band gap calculated from the onset wavelength of the optical absorption was 1.77 eV. On the other hand, the electrochemical band gap calculated from oxidation and reduction onset values was 1.60 eV, respectively. Finally, the electrochromic performance of the polymer film represents a high contrast ratio in the NIR region (51%), fast response time of about 1 s, high coloration efficiency (274 cm2 C−1) and retained its performance by 94.6% even after 1000 cycles.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Recent studies indicate that microalgal cultivation using organic carbon sources has the potential to provide high yields. Haematococcus pluvialis and Chlorella zofingiensis, two important carotenoid producers, were selected for co‐culture cultivations to utilize the unique advantages of both organisms. A co‐culture production process was investigated in terms of the effects of organic carbon source, co‐cultivation method, and light intensity on carotenoid production. RESULTS: The addition of 5 g L?1 glucose resulted in a growth rate of 0.60 day?1 for H. pluvialis and 0.59 day?1 for C. zofingiensis, which were higher than those for other carbon sources tested and the control group. Incremental increase of light intensity instead of direct increase to 170 µE m?2s? prevented cell loss in both cultures. Co‐cultivation based on cell numbers (60% H. pluvialis and 40% C. zofingiensis) prevented population domination of one microalgae over the other. The biomass production rate of the co‐culture was higher (0.61 g L?1 day?1) in glucose‐enriched medium. The total carotenoid content of the co‐culture in the control culture was higher (0.83 mg total carotenoids g?1 cell) than that obtained in glucose‐enriched medium (0.54 mg total carotenoids g?1 cell) but not as high as the amounts reached in mono‐cultures. CONCLUSION: Total carotenoid content of the mono‐cultures gave higher yields in standard bold basal medium (BBM). Preliminary high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) studies indicated a variation in the amounts of astaxanthin isomers produced. Further studies are in progress to determine the effects of carbon‐enriched media and co‐cultivation on the type of isomers and caretenoids produced. In this article, urease was immobilized in a conducting network via complexation of poly(1‐vinyl imidazole) (PVI) with poly(2‐acrylamido‐2‐methyl‐1‐propanesulfonic acid) (PAMPS). The preparation method for the polymer network was adjusted by using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. A scanning electron microscope (SEM) study revealed that enzyme immobilization had a strong effect on film morphology. The proton conductivity of the PVI/PAMPS network was measured via impedance spectroscopy, under humidified conditions. The basic characteristics (Michealis‐Menten constants, pHopt, pHstability, Topt, Tstability, reusability, and storage stability) of the immobilized urease were determined. Antiferroelectric PbZrO3 has been synthesized by homogeneous precipitation from aqueous solutions in the presence of urea (NH2CONH2) and calcination for 6 h at 700°C. SEM studies displayed the presence of submicrometer powder, with a significant degree of agglomeration.  相似文献
