A comparative study of linear and non-linear regression analysis for ammonium exchange by clinoptilolite zeolite 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Ammonium ion exchange from aqueous solution using clinoptilolite zeolite was investigated at laboratory scale. Batch experimental studies were conducted to evaluate the effect of various parameters such as pH, zeolite dosage, contact time, initial ammonium concentration and temperature. Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm models and pseudo-second-order model were fitted to experimental data. Linear and non-linear regression methods were compared to determine the best fitting of isotherm and kinetic model to experimental data. The rate limiting mechanism of ammonium uptake by zeolite was determined as chemical exchange. Non-linear regression has better performance for analyzing experimental data and Freundlich model was better than Langmuir to represent equilibrium data. 相似文献

In the present study, Chou’s General Solution Model (GSM) has been used to predict the enthalpy and partial enthalpies of mixing of the liquid Ag–In–Sn ternary, Ag–In–Sn–Zn quaternary, and Ag–Au–In–Sn–Zn quinary systems. These are of technical importance to optimize lead-free solder alloys, in selected cross-sections: xIn/xSn = 0.5/0.5 (ternary), Au–In0.1–Sn0.8–Zn0.1, Ag–In0.1–Sn0.8–Zn0.1 (quaternary), and t = xAu/xIn = 1, xIn = xSn = xZn (quinary) at 1173, 773, and 773 K, respectively. Moreover, the activity of In content in the ternary alloy system Ag–In–Sn has been calculated and its result is compared with that determined from the experiment, while the activities of Ag contents associated with the alloys mentioned above have been calculated. The other traditional models such as of Colinet, Kohler, Muggianu, Toop, and Hillert are also included in calculations. Comparing those calculated from the proposed GSM with those determined from experimental measurements, it is seen that this model becomes considerably realistic in computerization for estimating thermodynamic properties in multicomponent systems. 相似文献

In this study, cadmium sulfide (CdS) nanocrystal thin films and nanowires have been deposited onto mechanically flexible substrates via dc-electrodeposition, which is a very suitable technique for large area manufacturing. For the first time with this study, flexible CdS nanocrystal thin films were integrated into photoelectrochemical (PEC) cells and their performances were compared with CdS nanowires. It has been demonstrated that PEC performance of both nanocrystal thin films and nanowires were a strong function of production conditions such as deposition time and voltage. The maximum power conversion efficiency of the CdS nanocrystal thin films obtained in this study was 0.3%. On the other hand, higher efficiencies (about 1.4%) were observed for the CdS nanowires. UV-vis analysis confirmed that both transmittance and band gap energies of the CdS nanowires were lower than that of CdS nanocrystal thin films. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that both nanocrystal thin films and nanowires have a preferred orientation at 26° (2θ), which can be attributed to the CdS (0 0 2) structure. 相似文献

Abstract 3‐mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane, (CH3O)3SiCH2CH2CH2SH, loaded on silica gel was used as a preconcentration sorbent for V, Cr, Mn and Pb prior to their determination by graphite furnace atomic absorption spetrometry (GFAAS). Surface characteristics and surface area of the silica gel before and after chemical modification were determined by elemental analysis. The retention and recovery of the analyte elements were studied by applying batch and column techniques. The experimental parameters, such as the effect of pH of the sample, shaking time in batch technique, flow rate of the eluent, the concentration of acid solution in the column section, and the amount of silica on retention and elution have been investigated. All elements were quantitatively (≥90%) recovered in the batch technique with R.S.D. values of 3.0 for vanadium, 1.8 for chromium, 1.7 for manganese, and 0.4 for lead. The same recoveries were obtained in the column techniques for all elements, while manganese in sea water could not be succesfully recovered. Detection limits of the method for vanadium, chromium, manganese, and lead are 1.1, 1.4, 1.3, and 0.8 ng, respectively. 相似文献

In the present study, the results of some thermodynamic prediction methods were applied to the Ni-Cr-Co-Al-Mo-Ti system of six components. The Chou’s general solution model and the traditional models of Kohler and Muggianu were included in the calculation for the comparison and discussion. The excess Gibbs energy dependences on composition for two investigated cross sections at 2000 K, were obtained according to the applied models. In the present study, laser cutting of 7050 aluminum alloy sheets reinforced with Al2O3 and B4C particles are carried out. The cut geometry is examined using scanning electron microscope and the optical microscope. The lump parameter analysis technique is used to formulate and determine the kerf width size. The predictions for kerf width are compared with experimental data. The percentage kerf width size variation along the cut edges is determined and the influence of the laser power level and duty cycle of the laser pulses on the percentage kerf width size variation is examined. It is found that 7050 aluminum alloy reinforced with 20% Al2O3 composite results in relatively large kerf width size as compared to its counter parts that corresponding to 7050 aluminum alloy reinforced with 20% B4C composite. We produced UV curable lenses with properties blocking short wave UV light. In the UV-curable formulations, we used an oligomer (Ac-PEEK) with another urethan oligomer (Mw = 2000). Radically active, molecular weight controlled Ac-PEEK was obtained by reacting 2-hydroxyl ethyl methacrylate with molecular- weight- controlled and isocyanate terminated PEEK (Mn = 4500). We characterized all synthesized monomer, oligomer and optical materials with UV/Vis spectrophotometer with interferogram, elemental analyser, mass spectrophotometer, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analyzer, differential scanning calorimeter, scanning electron microscopy and gas chromatography. Results suggested that newly synthesized oligomer with the structure of PEEK absorbs short wave UV-light. Ageing tests [ISO 11979-5, Ophthalmic implants—intraocular lenses (IOL)—Part 5: Biocompatibility] performed on the IOL materials were successful. High contact angle of the obtained lenses suggests that all lenses were hydrophobic and SEM results revealed that lenses are morphologically homogeneous. Based on all positive properties just mentioned, we safely conclude that the lenses produced in this study are very promising for IOL production. 相似文献

The CCT has completed the guide summarizing the uncertainties in the realization of the SPRT subranges of ITS-90 between the triple point of neon (24.5561 K) and the freezing point of silver (961.78 °C). This article identifies aspects of standard platinum resistance thermometry where either data or models are lacking and further research is required. In the calibration of SPRTs, the two main concerns are the need for data on liquidus slopes for the different impurities in the fixed points and improved understanding of the impact of the thermal environment of the fixed point on the realized temperature. In the use of SPRTs, the two largest sources of uncertainty are Types 1 and 3 non-uniqueness and oxidation. The causes of Type 3 non-uniqueness are not yet understood, especially at low temperatures, and there is a paucity of data for the high-temperature subranges. In respect of oxidation, there is a need for validation of the models developed in the 1980s, especially in light of the reduced partial pressure of oxygen used in modern SPRTs. A range of other effects including vacancy effects in SPRTs, isotopic effects in fixed points, and improved statistical methods are discussed. 相似文献
