A phase transition at 420°K previously unreported, has been discovered in V3O5. The transition is characterized by an endothermic DTA peak on heating and an abrupt change in the electrical resistivity at the same temperature. Results from X-ray analysis of the V3O5 samples exhibiting the transition agree very well with the values reported by Andersson (1). Powder diffraction analysis of the high temperature phase indicates that there is a small change in the cell volume but the crystal apparently conserves its symmetry through the transition. 相似文献

The impedance properties of a waveguide longitudinal slot antenna of arbitrary length and offset in guide walls of finite thickness are investigated. These properties are obtained by treating the slot discontinuity as an electromagnetic boundary value problem and the resulting pair of coupled integral equations are solved by numerical techniques. A low-cost and bandwidth-efficient scheme for delivering video services to customers over a long reach, large split repeater-based optical access network is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Video channels that are on radio-frequency subcarriers are electrically combined with regenerated downstream data at the repeater and delivered to the customers on a single wavelength channel. Spectral clustering (SC) is currently one of the most popular clustering techniques because of its advantages over conventional approaches such as K-means and hierarchical clustering. However, SC requires the use of computing eigenvectors, making it time consuming. To overcome this limitation, Lin and Cohen proposed the power iteration clustering (PIC) technique (Lin and Cohen in Proceedings of the 27th International Conference on Machine Learning, pp. 655–662, 2010), which is a simple and fast version of SC. Instead of finding the eigenvectors, PIC finds only one pseudo-eigenvector, which is a linear combination of the eigenvectors in linear time. However, in certain critical situations, using only one pseudo-eigenvector is not enough for clustering because of the inter-class collision problem. In this paper, we propose a novel method based on the deflation technique to compute multiple orthogonal pseudo-eigenvectors (orthogonality is used to avoid redundancy). Our method is more accurate than PIC but has the same computational complexity. Experiments on synthetic and real datasets demonstrate the improvement of our approach. 相似文献

The ability to induce an extracellular DNase from a novel thermophilic fungus was studied and the DNAse purified using both traditional and innovative purification techniques. The isolate produced sterile hyphae under all attempted growing conditions, with an average diameter of 2 μm and was found to have an optimal temperature of 45 °C and a maximum of 65 °C. Sequencing of the internal transcribed region resulted in a 91% match with Chaetomium sp., suggesting a new species, but further clarification on this point is needed. The optimal temperature for DNase production was found to be 55 °C and was induced by the presence of DNA and/or deoxyribose. Static growth of the organism resulted in significantly higher DNase production than agitated growth. The DNase was purified 145-fold using a novel affinity membrane purification system with 25% of the initial enzyme activity remaining. Electrophoresis of the purified enzyme resulted in a single protein band, indicating DNase homogeneity. 相似文献

The understanding of the redox behavior of conducting polymers is essential for a successful application of these so-called synthetic metals as functional coatings. The redox process involves the exchange of ions and solvent molecules. This so called doping/dedoping process involves changes of the mechanical and the electronic structure of the polymer. This paper discusses investigations at poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (PEDOT) and poly(pyrrole) (Ppy) by the electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) technique and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). In the case of PEDOT a determination of the anion and the solvent fluxes was possible, and it was found that most anions replace solvent molecules upon their incorporation. The doping/dedoping mechanism of Ppy is more complicated. Here, the first redox cycles are characterized by a complex interplay of cation, anion and solvent fluxes with irreversible changes of the polymer structure. However, in combination with EIS new insights of the ion and solvent exchange and its influence on the electronic properties can be achieved. 相似文献

AbstractPower scheduling of distributed storage devices and renewable energy resources in microgrids is crucial for their reliable and optimal operation. Conventionally, the power scheduling problem is solved with a centralized energy management control, which has access to all the information from the overall system. This type of control has limitations related to computational burden, communication latencies, and missing information. Therefore, the primary objective of this paper is to propose a distributed energy management strategy, to reduce the operational cost of microgrids, and to enhance the computation time. The strategy is formulated based on the model predictive control method since it allows the control action in the current time-step to be optimized while taking into account the future time-steps. Outputs of the energy management system are the optimal power references generated for all energy resources based on the system’s demand, constraints, and objective functions. To illustrate the effectiveness of the distributed model predictive control, the proposed algorithm is validated through simulation, on a microgrid candidate via MATLAB/Simulink, and controller hardware-in-the-loop experiment on a LabVIEW platform using National Instruments control devices (myRIO). The results will show the computation time in the distributed IEM method is improved compared to centralized IEM. Additionally, the results will show the robustness of the distributed IEM in the plug and play scenario. 相似文献
