Silica gel has been modified by silylation with 3‐mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane followed by graft polymerization of dimethylacrylamide and (N,N‐bis‐carboxymethyl)amino‐3‐allylglycerol‐co‐dimethylacrylamide, synthesized via the reaction of allyl glycidyl ether with iminodiacetic acid. The sorbent, poly(AGE/IDA‐co‐DMAA)‐grafted silica gel, has been characterized by FTIR, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), FT‐Raman, and scanning electron microscopy and studied for the preconcentration and determination of trace amounts of Cu(II) ion in environmental water samples. The optimum pH value for quantitative sorption of Cu(II) in batch mode was 5.5 and desorption was achieved, using 0.5 mol L?1 nitric acid. The sorption capacity of functionalized sorbent is 32.3 mg g?1. The chelating sorbent was reused for 15 sorption–desorption cycles without any significant change in sorption capacity. The profile of copper uptake by the sorbent reflected good accessibility of the chelating sites in the poly(AGE/IDA‐co‐DMAA)‐grafted silica gel. Scatchard analysis demonstrated homogeneous nature of binding sites. The equilibrium adsorption data of Cu(II) on modified sorbent were analyzed by Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, and Redlich–Peterson models. Based on equilibrium adsorption data, the Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin constants were determined as 0.0665, 4.26, and 8.34, respectively, at pH 5.5 and 20°C. Adsorption isotherms were analyzed at different temperatures to obtain free energy, enthalpy, and entropy of adsorption. A hybrid computational model was developed to interpret the formation of curcumin particles via liquid antisolvent precipitation (LASP) in three microchannel reactors (MCRs) with different confluence angles. The computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model was numerically combined with a discretized population balance approach. The nucleation kinetics were computed using an expression obtained from the nucleation rate and supersaturation equation from previous experimental data. A quantitative comparison of the particle size distributions (PSDs) demonstrated that the particles with the smallest diameters are observed right after the intersection of the three streams. Besides, the large confluence angle of 135° in the MCR presented higher population density as a result of the smaller size of the precipitated curcumin particles. These findings illustrate the efficient applicability of the hybrid model.  相似文献

A one‐step solvothermal synthesis of hollow microspherical Bi2WO6 nanophotocatalyst was carried out for the first time under the collective action of potassium chloride (KCl) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). The physicochemical properties such as crystal structure, morphology, specific surface area, and optical properties of the material were characterized by means of XRD, SEM, EDS, UV‐vis, and BET. The effect of KCl and PVP on the morphology control of the product is discussed. Rhodamine B dye in wastewater was used as model pollutant, and the effect of hollow microspherical morphology on photocatalytic activity is discussed. The results presented here provide a simple, effective, and widely applicable approach for the rapid synthesis of special morphology Bi2WO6 by a one‐step method.  相似文献

ZnO is one of the most promising transparent conducting oxide materials, which widely used in thin film gas sensors. In this research, the dependence of the thermal oxidation time on structural, morphological and gas sensing properties of ZnO thin films is investigated. ZnO nanostructures are synthesized by using DC magnetron sputtering for deposition of pure zinc layers on glass substrates and then thermal oxidation of deposited zinc layers to produce zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films. Obtained results from X-ray diffraction revealed that the degree of crystallinity and the average grain size of the ZnO deposited thin films enhance with increasing the thermal oxidation time. Surface topography and growth behavior of ZnO thin films have important role in optimization of gas sensing properties of these films. In this study, scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy have been used to investigate the effective parameters related to the surface topography of the films. Obtained results from these analyzes revealed that the surface topography of ZnO deposited samples strongly depend on thermal oxidation time. Also the effect of thermal oxidation time on the performance of ZnO gas sensors is investigated. The results indicated that the ethanol gas sensing properties of ZnO samples improve with decreasing the size of grains.  相似文献

The present study investigated the molecular effects of rice bran oil (RBO) on lipid‐regulatory genes (sterol regulatory element binding protein‐1 [Srebf1] and peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptors‐α [Ppara]) and the expression of catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD1) genes in insulin‐resistant rats. Rats were divided into five groups: animals that received standard diet (control); rats fed standard diet containing RBO as the sole source of fat (RBO); a high‐fructose diet (HFD) group, which was further divided into two subgroups: rats fed HFD either for only 1 month (HFD1) or for 2 months (HFD2) and rats fed HFD containing RBO for 1 month; while rats in the last group fed HFD for 30 days then treated with RBO for another 30 days. The HFD induced a state of insulin resistance (IR) as indicated by the hyperinsulinemia and elevated homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance index. Hepatic lipid levels and radical scavenging enzymes were altered by the HFD. Lipid‐regulatory genes, Srebf1 and Ppara, were upregulated while Sod1 and Cat were downregulated in insulin‐resistant rats. Addition of RBO to the two diet regimens alleviated the disorders of IR to some extent. RBO reduced the hepatic levels of triacylglycerol, malondialdehyde, SREBP, and PPAR‐α mRNA. Hepatic SOD and CAT were elevated at gene and protein levels. The HFD induces de novo lipogenesis by upregulating the lipid‐regulatory genes resulting in increased serum and hepatic triacylglycerol. Moreover, IR induced by the HFD caused a state of oxidative stress. Supplementation of RBO to fructose‐fed rats not only improves insulin resistance but also downregulates lipogenic genes and improves the unbalanced oxidative status.  相似文献

Automatic fire detection system is a system that is capable of assessing environmental factors and their effects on the environment as well as predicting the occurrence of fire in the early stages and even before the outbreak. There are two perspectives in fire detection: fire detection in forests or jungles and fire detection in occupied or residential areas. Automatic fire detection has attracted increased attention due to its importance in decreasing fire damage. There are many studies that have considered appropriate techniques for early fire detection. In recent years researches have been studying technical developments in this field aimed at exploiting wireless communications networks, detection systems and fire prediction systems design. In this paper the automatic fire detection researches using intelligent techniques from 2000 to 2010 is reviewed. We could classify researches to four categories: fire detectors, reduce false alarms systems, fire data analysis and fire predictors. We also classify the intelligent techniques outlined in the researches for each category.  相似文献

Monitoring networks contain monitoring nodes that observe an area of interest to detect any possible existing object and estimate its states. Each node has characteristics such as probability of detection and clutter density that may have different values for distinct nodes in nonhomogeneous monitoring networks. This paper proposes a modified covariance intersection method for data fusion in such networks. It is derived by formulating a mixed game model between neighbor monitoring nodes as players and considering the inverse of the trace of fused covariance matrix as players' utility function. Monitoring nodes estimate the states of any possible existing object by applying joint target detection and tracking filter on their own observations. Processing nodes fuse the estimated states received from neighbor monitoring nodes by the proposed modified covariance intersection. It is validated by simulating target detection and tracking problem in 2 situations: 1 target and unknown number of targets.  相似文献

We model trabecular bone as a nanocomposite material with hierarchical structure and predict its elastic properties at different structural scales. The analysis involves a bottom-up multi-scale approach, starting with nanoscale (mineralized collagen fibril) and moving up the scales to sub-microscale (single lamella), microscale (single trabecula) and mesoscale (trabecular bone) levels. Continuum micromechanics methods, composite materials laminate theory and finite-element methods are used in the analysis. Good agreement is found between theoretical and experimental results.  相似文献

The goal of this work was to identify the inclusions in lamellar graphite cast iron in an effort to explain the nucleation of the phases of interest. Four samples of approximately the same carbon equivalent but different levels of sulfur and titanium were studied. The Ti/S ratios were from 0.15 to 29.2 and the Mn/S ratios from 4.2 to 48.3. Light and electron microscopy were used to examine the unetched, color-etched, and deep-etched samples. It was confirmed that in irons with high sulfur content (0.12 wt pct) nucleation of type-A and type-D graphite occurs on Mn sulfides that have a core of complex Al, Ca, Mg oxide. An increased titanium level of 0.35 pct produced superfine interdendritic graphite (~10 μm) at low (0.012 wt pct) as well as at high-S contents. Ti also caused increased segregation in the microstructure of the analyzed irons and larger eutectic grains (cells). TiC did not appear to be a nucleation site for the primary austenite as it was found mostly at the periphery of the secondary arms of the austenite, in the last region to solidify. The effect of titanium in refining the graphite and increasing the austenite fraction can be explained through the widening of the liquidus-eutectic temperature interval (more time for austenite growth) and the decrease in the growth rate of the graphite because of Ti absorption on the graphite. The fact that Ti addition produced larger eutectic cells supports the theory that Ti is not producing finer graphite because of a change in the nucleation potential, but because of lower growth rate of the graphite in between the dendrite arms of a larger fraction of austenite. In the presence of high-Ti and S, (MnTi)S star-like and rib-like inclusions precipitate and act as nuclei for the austenite.  相似文献
