Based on the correlations between laboratory units and commercial plants, a procedure has been developed to guide commercial FCC (Fluid Catalytic Cracking) catalysts selection. Examining the operability of catalyst mixtures during catalyst transition period is emphasized. The testing procedure is simple and reliable. A commercially available catalyst and the catalyst currently in use have been compared to demonstrate the applicability of this procedure. The commercial testing has confirmed the reliability of laboratory results. The use of the catalyst evaluated led to a 30% saving in catalyst cost.  相似文献

The curling characteristics of static inside-out inversion of metal tubes   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The curling behavior of quasi-static inside-out inversion of tubes was analyzed using an energy method technique based on the critical condition for more precise design. (1) The first part is to derive the critical bending radius as a curling criterion to distinguish between curling and flaring on a conical die, in which the strain hardening exponent n and half-apex angle of die α have very marked effects on theoretically; however, the friction coefficient μ-dependence is not as great as the n. As a result, a much more satisfactory correlation between prediction and experiment is obtained and Kitazawa's study is a special case of this work. (2) The second part is to theoretically find the range of semicircular curling ( ) and the compressing load P of inversion in tube inversion with a quarter circle die. It appears that the material properties of the aluminum tubes used have little effect on the curling behavior of inversion. It is noted that factors μ and n obviously affect the position of semicircular curling of inversion but not its range size. On the other hand, n in contrast to μ affects significantly the compressing load. Good agreement between the theoretical prediction and experimental results is obtained for the compressing load, except in the case of the sharp fillet die radius for the strictly bending effect to be ignored in the prediction.  相似文献

This paper presents a new method for surface reconstruction from dexel data for virtual sculpting. This is part of our research efforts to develop a dexel model based sculpting system with the capability of interactive solid modeling with haptics interface. Dexel data are converted to a series of planar contours in parallel slices (i.e. cross sections). Then triangular meshes are created by connecting the contour points in adjacent slices. Examples are given to demonstrate the ability of the described method to convert from dexel data to triangular meshes for the viewing of a sculpted model in different directions.  相似文献

Two new aromatic diamines, 2,2′‐dibromo‐4,4′‐oxydianiline (DB‐ODA 4 ) and 2,2′,6,6′‐tetrabromo‐4,4′‐oxydianiline (TB‐ODA 5 ), have been synthesized by oxidation, bromination, and reduction of 4,4′‐oxydianiline (4,4′‐ODA). Novel polyimides 6a–f and 7a–f were prepared by reacting DB‐ODA ( 4 ) and TB‐ODA ( 5 ) with several dianhydrides by one‐step method, respectively. The inherent viscosities of these polyimides ranged from 0.31 to 0.99 dL/g (0.5 g/dL, in NMP at 30°C). These polyimides showed enhanced solubilities compared to those derived from 4,4′‐oxydianiline and corresponding dianhydrides. Especially, polyimides 7a , derived from rigid PMDA and TB‐ODA ( 5 ) can also be soluble in THF, DMF, DMAc, DMSO, and NMP. These polyimides also exhibited good thermal stability. Their glass transition temperatures measured by thermal mechanical analysis (TMA) ranged from 251 to 328°C. When the same dianhydrides were used, polyimides 7 containing four bromide substituents had higher glass transition temperatures than polyimides 6 containing two bromide substituents. The effects of incorporating more polarizable bromides on the refractive indices of polyimides were also investigated. The average refractive indices (nav) measured at 633 nm were from 1.6088 to 1.7072, and the in‐plane/out‐of‐plane birefringences (Δn) were from 0.0098 to 0.0445. It was found that the refractive indices are slightly higher when polyimides contain more bromides. However, this effect is not very obvious. It might be due to loose chain packing resulted from bromide substituents at the 2,2′ and 2,2′,6,6′ positions of the oxydiphenylene moieties. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The late-onset type of Fabry disease (FD) with GLA IVS4 + 919G > A mutation has been shown to lead to cardiovascular dysfunctions. In order to eliminate variations in other aspects of the genetic background, we established the isogenic control of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for the identification of the pathogenetic factors for FD phenotypes through CRISPR/Cas9 genomic editing. We adopted droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) to efficiently capture mutational events, thus enabling isolation of the corrected FD from FD-iPSCs. Both of these exhibited the characteristics of pluripotency and phenotypic plasticity, and they can be differentiated into endothelial cells (ECs). We demonstrated the phenotypic abnormalities in FD iPSC-derived ECs (FD-ECs), including intracellular Gb3 accumulation, autophagic flux impairment, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and these abnormalities were rescued in isogenic control iPSC-derived ECs (corrected FD-ECs). Microarray profiling revealed that corrected FD-derived endothelial cells reversed the enrichment of genes in the pro-inflammatory pathway and validated the downregulation of NF-κB and the MAPK signaling pathway. Our findings highlighted the critical role of ECs in FD-associated vascular dysfunctions by establishing a reliable isogenic control and providing information on potential cellular targets to reduce the morbidity and mortality of FD patients with vascular complications.  相似文献

Coxsackievirus A16 (CA16) is one of the major causative agents of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). Children aged <5 years are the most affected by CA16 HFMD globally. Although clinical symptoms of CA16 infections are usually mild, severe complications, such as aseptic meningitis or even death, have been recorded. Currently, no vaccine or antiviral therapy for CA16 infection exists. Single-chain variable fragment (scFv) antibodies significantly inhibit viral infection and could be a potential treatment for controlling the infection. In this study, scFv phage display libraries were constructed from splenocytes of a laying hen immunized with CA16-infected lysate. The pComb3X vector containing the scFv genes was introduced into ER2738 Escherichia coli and rescued by helper phages to express scFv molecules. After screening with five cycles of bio-panning, an effective scFv antibody showing favorable binding activity to proteins in CA16-infected lysate on ELISA plates was selected. Importantly, the selected scFv clone showed a neutralizing capability against the CA16 virus and cross-reacted with viral proteins in EV71-infected lysate. Intriguingly, polyclonal IgY antibody not only showed binding specificity against proteins in CA16-infected lysate but also showed significant neutralization activities. Nevertheless, IgY-binding protein did not cross-react with proteins in EV71-infected lysate. These results suggest that the IgY- and scFv-binding protein antibodies provide protection against CA16 viral infection in in vitro assays and may be potential candidates for treating CA16 infection in vulnerable young children.  相似文献

Both mixed data types and cluster constraints are frequently encountered in the classification problems of construction management. For example, in a bridge let project, engineers generally group the bridges into several subgroups based on their proximities, structure type, material, etc. Moreover, constraints may be set for each cluster to ensure the project’s overall effectiveness. In this study, an effective clustering algorithm – the constrained k-prototypes (CKP) algorithm – is proposed to resolve the abovementioned problems. Several tests and experimental results have shown that CKP cannot only handle mixed data types but also satisfy user-specified constraints. In order to demonstrate the applicability of CKP, it is also applied to real-world problems in construction management.  相似文献
