We present a local Dissemination of EPIC, a project which has been devised to support health and social primary care by an information system. One key point of the EPIC project was a standardization effort at European level, providing a standardized basis for the management system based on client needs for planning and manpower control. Whilst EPIC has been designed as a general community information system, the main EPIC applications focus is on the care of the elderly. Savona is a middle size Italian town with a high percentage of elderly people and has already had an experience of integration of health and social care within an Italian project. It has therefore been regarded as a suitable site for the dissemination of EPIC. The EPIC application solved some of the information problems which emerged during the validation of the previous Italian project, such as the definition of the requirements; the collection, processing and retrieval of the clinical/social data; the definition of responsibilities and relations of the operators. 相似文献

The authors reports the fabrication of a flip-chip InGaAsP-InAlAs superlattice avalanche photodiode using gas source molecular beam epitaxy. The incident light reaches the InGaAs photoabsorption layer through the InP substrate and an InGaAsP-InAlAs superlattice multiplication region which are transparent for wavelengths of 1.55 and 1.3 μm. The light reflection by the electrode enables the absorption layer to be as thin as 0.8 μm without significantly reducing the quantum efficiency. This paper deals with an advanced static Var compensator (ASVC) using quad-series voltage-source PAM inverters. The ASVC consists of four three-phase voltage-source inverters with a common dc capacitor and four three-phase transformers, each primary winding of which is connected in series with each other. Each inverter outputs a square-wave voltage, while the synthesized output voltage of the ASVC has a 24-step wave shape. This results not only in a great reduction of harmonic currents and dc voltage ripples but also in fewer switching and snubbing losses. In this paper, transient analysis is performed with the focus on the response of reactive power and the resonance between the dc capacitor and ac reactors. Experimental results obtained from a small-rated laboratory model of 10 kVA are also shown to verify analytical results based on the p-q transformation. This study was undertaken to examine the osseous tissue compatibility of polylactic acid (PLA) with properties of bioabsorbability and plasticity. Two kinds of granular PLA with different molecular weight (PLA-H: 28 000 MW, PLA-L: 10 600 MW) were implanted into rat tibiae and light microscopic sections were prepared at 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 24 weeks following surgery. The tissue compatibility of the PLAs was compared with that of hydroxyapatite (HAP) which is a non-absorbable biocompatible material. After implantation, both PLAs were gradually absorbed and replaced by marrow tissue at 24 weeks. PLA-H degraded slower than PLA-L. New bone formation was observed around each PLA by 4 weeks, and a vast amount of bone deposited on PLA-H at 16 weeks. Phagocytic reactions to the PLAs were noted, however, severe inflammation was not seen. HAP was not absorbed and bone surrounded it throughout the experiment. The deoxidation equilibrium for Al in Ni-Fe alloys was studied in the equilibrium experiments between CaO-Al2O3 slags and Fe-30, 50 and 70 % Ni alloys at 1873 K. By using the values for the first and second order interaction parameters between oxygen and nickel in liquid iron and those between oxygen and iron in liquid nickel, the effect of Ni on the activity coefficient of Al in liquid iron and that of Fe on the activity coefficient of Al in liquid nickel were determined in the whole composition range of Ni-Fe alloys. The oxygen contents in Ni-Fe alloys calculated by the iterative method based on pure iron were in good agreement with those based on pure nickel in the range of [% Al] < 0.03. From this fact, it was found that the Wagner's approximation relating to the multi-component solution was applicable to the deoxidation equilibrium in the whole composition range of Ni-Fe alloys in the restricted concentration of a deoxidizer. 相似文献
