The conversion of propanal on large (2–5 µm) and small (0.2–0.5 µm) crystallite HZSM-5 at 400 °C and atmospheric pressure has been studied. Improved catalyst stability was observed on small crystallites due to faster removal of products with the shorter diffusion path length, reducing the formation of coke precursors. As previously shown, C9 aromatics are the initial aromatics produced from propanal via aldol condensation followed by cyclization and these have less opportunity to crack to lighter aromatics on the small crystallites. Thus, a higher ratio of C9/(C8+ C7) aromatics was observed on the small crystallites. The main isomer of the C8 aromatic products observed on small crystallites was the initial cracking product of the C9 aromatics, and thermodynamically preferred, meta-xylene, while the shape-selective preferred para-xylene was the predominant product on large crystallites. The higher internal diffusion rate of the para isomer results in greater shape selectivity with the longer path of the large crystallite zeolite. It is concluded that the use of smaller crystallite HZSM-5 improves results for production of alkyl aromatics from light oxygenates at mild conditions that may prove useful for bio-oil upgrading. 相似文献

An optimal constant-composition or constant-weight code of weight w has linear size if and only if its distance d is at least 2w-1. When d ? 2w, the determination of the exact size of such a constant-composition or constant-weight code is trivial, but the case of d=2w-1 has been solved previously only for binary and ternary constant-composition and constant-weight codes, and for some sporadic instances. This paper provides a construction for quasicyclic optimal constant-composition and constant-weight codes of weight w and distance 2w-1 based on a new generalization of difference triangle sets. As a result, the sizes of optimal constant-composition codes and optimal constant-weight codes of weight w and distance 2w-1 are determined for all such codes of sufficiently large lengths. This solves an open problem of Etzion. The sizes of optimal constant-composition codes of weight w and distance 2w-1 are also determined for all w ? 6, except in two cases. 相似文献

Emission of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, toxicity, and mutagenicity from domestic cooking using sawdust briquettes, wood, and kerosene 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Smoke samples, in both gas and particulate matter (PM) phases, of the three domestic stoves were collected using U.S. EPA modified method 5 and were analyzed for 17 PAH (HPLC-UV), acute toxicity (Microtox test), and mutagenicity (Amestest). The gas phase of smoke contributed > or = 95% of 17 PAH, > or = 96% of toxicity, and > or = 60% of mutagenicity. The highest emission factor of 17 PAH was from sawdust briquettes (260 mg/kg), but the highest emission of 11 genotoxic PAH was from kerosene (28 mg/kg). PM samples of kerosene smoke were not toxic. The total toxicity emission factor was the highest from sawdust, followed by kerosene and wood fuel. Smoke samples from the kerosene stove were not mutagenic. TA98 indicated the presence of both direct and indirect mutagenic activities in PM samples of sawdust and wood fuel but only direct mutagenic activities in the gas phase. TA100 detected only direct mutagenic activities in both PM and gas-phase samples. The higher mutagenicity emission factor was from wood fuel, 12 x 10(6) revertants/kg (TA100-S9) and 3.5 x 10(6) (TA98-S9), and lower from sawdust, 2.9 x 10(6) (TA100-S9) and 2.8 x 10(6) (TA98-S9). The low burning rate and high efficiency of a kerosene stove have resulted in the lowest PAH, toxicity, and mutagenicity emissions from daily cooking activities. The bioassays produced toxicity and mutagenicity results in correspondence with the PAH content of samples. The tests could be used for a quick assessment of potential health risks. 相似文献

The article proposes a novel orthogonal elliptic band-pass filtering methodology in Fourier Transform Profilometry (FTP) for significant improvement of accurate 3-D measurement surface reconstruction with arbitrary object colors. Compared with phase shifting profilometry (PSP), FTP using fringe projection can achieve a general 3-D surface profilometry more efficiently by employing one-shot imaging. However, a challenging problem commonly encountered by FTP using fringe projection is its unreliable extraction of precise spectral information from the spectral domain especially when the spectral domain is complicated to process. Various filtering methods previously proposed in FTP have been proved unsuccessful or nonrobust. Thus, a new band-pass filter is developed from an adaptive orthogonal elliptic region to achieve higher accuracy of 3-D surface reconstruction. A comprehensive theoretical analysis is performed to investigate the physical measurement limits of the proposed method. The experimental results obtained confirm that the measurement accuracy of dimension and sphericity can be greatly enhanced when compared with that achieved by the traditional circular band-pass filter. The proposed method is proved to outperform all the other existing FTP band-pass filtering approaches. The maximum dimensional error measured can be controlled within 1.25% of the overall measuring height with various surface colors. To prevent the adulteration of agricultural resources and provide a solution to enhance the green coffee bean supply chain, authentication using the near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) technique was investigated. Partial least square with discrimination analysis (PLS-DA) models combined with various preprocessing methods were built from NIR spectra of 153 Vietnamese green coffee samples. The model combined with the standard normal variate and the first order of derivative yielded excellent performance in predicting coffee species with the error cross-validation of 0.0261. PLS-DA model of mean centre and first-order derivative spectra also yielded good performance in verifying geographical indication of green coffee with the error of 0.0656. By contrast, the predicting abilities of post-harvest methods were poor. The overall results showed a high potential of the NIRS in online authentication practices. 相似文献

Wheat germ oil (WGO) is well-known as a good source of vegetable oil due to its nutrients and health benefits. Emulsification is a process that improves the incorporation of oil into food. High-pressure homogenisation (HPH) is a nonthermal and soft technique with enormous potential in oil-in-water emulsification. This paper focussed on the application of HPH for emulsification of WGO-in-water system. Influences of homogenisation pressure (100–300 bar), oil fraction (10–20% v/v) and lecithin adding (0–0.2% w/v of content) on the homogenisation were evaluated based on distribution of particles diameter and homogenisation efficiency. The increase in operating pressure and lecithin ratio decreased the particle size and increased the emulsion stability, and vice versa for oil fraction. The findings imply that the investigated factors significantly influenced particle size and emulsion system stability. The regression model between mean particle diameter and technical conditions of emulsion was established. With HPH treatment conditions of 300 bar operating pressure, 10% (v/v) oil fraction and 0.2% (w/v) lecithin created an emulsion system with a mean particle size of 3.32 µm, more than 50% of the volume of particles smaller than 1.5 µm of diameter and the homogenisation efficiency of 98.61%. Data-driven control has received increasing attention by researchers in recent years because no system modeling procedure is required. By combination of data-driven and model predictive control, this paper discusses an improved model-free adaptive predictive control approach with application to vibration reduction of an elastic crane. For system linearization, instead of using traditional compact-form dynamic linearization, this contribution considers the partial-form dynamic linearization (PFDL) technique in case of multivariable systems. A linearized output predictive model of the unknown system is constructed locally. To estimate and predict the time-varying parameter matrices, namely, pseudo-Jacobian matrix (PJM), recursive least-squares algorithms are utilized for online estimation improvement. As a result, an improved PFDL-based model-free controller is designed and applied firstly to the ship-mounted boom crane representing a typical flexible system. Simulation results indicate that significant reduction of the elastic boom and payload oscillations are achieved, and better control performance can be observed in comparison with other traditional methods. 相似文献

Internet Protocol-based Television (IPTV) is a digital television service which delivers television content via an IP network. The rapid growth of wireless network technology in recent years has changed, the way people access the Internet. Adding mobility to IPTV can create a truly compelling ubiquitous service which spans different network domains and varied IP-enabled terminals and devices, such as set-top boxes, PCs and cell phones. However, extending IPTV service to wireless networks requires overcoming bandwidth bottlenecks and high packet loss rates. Following the IEEE 802.16 standard, worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) features high data rates and large service coverage, offering a wireless broadband solution for IPTV services. While previous research has focused on creating a broadband IPTV service few studies have practically evaluated IPTV applications in a wireless broadband network environment. In this paper, we model and evaluate a common constant bit rate (CBR)1 based IPTV application and an IPTV live streaming (PPStreaming)2 application while retrieving IPTV content via a WiMAX network. We also use the NS2 simulation tool to evaluate the performance of these two IPTV applications. The evaluation metrics include latency, packet loss, data rate and throughput statistics when the two IPTV applications are run in the WiMAX network. 1The simplest IPTV solution is to convey video content by CBR. IPTV operators and content delivery networks relay CBR streaming content to control the demand for network capacity. Broadcasters prefer CBR video as it conserves bandwidth resources, but CBR delivery can degrade video quality result in higher overall demand on network capacity. 2PPStreaming (also referred to as P2P streaming Internet TV) is a network for live media streaming. In principle it’s similar to BitTorrent (BT) in that it provides stable and smooth broadcast of TV programs to broadband users. Unlike traditional streaming media, PPStreaming adopts P2P-streaming technology and supports full-scale visits with tens of thousands of simultaneous users. This paper studies the transceiver design for multiuser multiple-input multiple-output cognitive radio networks. Different from the conventional methods which aim at maximizing the spectral efficiency, this paper focuses on maximizing the energy efficiency (EE) of the network. First, we formulate the precoding and decoding matrix designs as optimization problems which maximize the EE of the network subject to per-user power and interference constraints. With a higher priority in accessing the spectrum, the primary users (PUs) can design their transmission strategies without awareness of the secondary user (SU) performance. Thus, we apply a full interference alignment technique to eliminate interference between the PUs. Then, the EE maximization problem for the primary network can be reformulated as a tractable concave-convex fractional program which can be solved by the Dinkelbach method. On the other hand, the uncoordinated interference from the PUs to the SUs cannot be completely eliminated due to a limited coordination between the PUs with the SUs. The secondary transceivers are designed to optimize the EE while enforcing zero-interference to the PUs. Since the EE maximization for the secondary network is an intractable fractional programming problem, we develop an iterative algorithm with provable convergence by invoking the difference of convex functions programming along with the Dinkelbach method. In addition, we also derive closed-form expressions for the solutions in each iteration to gain insights into the structures of the optimal transceivers. The simulation results demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms the conventional approaches in terms of the EE. 相似文献
