It is shown that the growth of II-VI diluted magnetic semiconductor nanowires is possible by the catalytically enhanced molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Zn(1-x)MnxTe NWs with manganese content up to x=0.60 were produced by this method. X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and temperature dependent photoluminescence measurements confirm the incorporation of Mn(2+) ions in the cation substitutional sites of the ZnTe matrix of the NWs. 相似文献

Optically transparent and highly ordered mesoporous organosilica thin films functionalized with two different organic groups in various proportions were synthesized by templated-directed cocondensation of tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) and a mixture of two distinct and functional organotriethoxysilanes [NC(CH2)3Si(OEt)3 and O=P(OEt)2(CH2)3Si(OEt)3]. The mesostructured films obtained by evaporation induced self-assembly (EISA) approach were deposited on glass or silicon substrates by dip-coating. They were characterized by Grazing Incidence Small Angle X-ray Scattering (GISAXS) and X-ray reflectivity. We showed that whatever the proportion in organic groups, only 2D hexagonal phase having p6m symmetry was observed for all the materials indicating a good compatibility between the organic groups. The bi-functionalization of the internal pores surface by the organotriethoxysilanes groups was clearly evidenced by using micro-Raman spectroscopy. 相似文献

Nano-/micrometer-scaled films and capsules made of low-fouling materials such as poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) are of interest for drug delivery and tissue engineering applications. Herein, the assembly and degradation of low-fouling, alkyne-functionalized PEG (PEG(Alk) ) multilayer films and capsules, which are prepared by combining layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly and click chemistry, are reported. A nonlinear, temperature-responsive PEG(Alk) is synthesized, and is then used to form hydrogen-bonded multilayers with poly(methacrylic acid) (PMA) at pH 5. The thermoresponsive behavior of PEG(Alk) is exploited to tailor film buildup by adjusting the assembly conditions. Using alkyne-azide click chemistry, PEG(Alk)/PMA multilayers are crosslinked with a bisazide linker that contains a disulfide bond, rendering these films and capsules redox-responsive. At pH 7, by disrupting the hydrogen bonding between the polymers, PEG(Alk) LbL films and PEG(Alk) -based capsules are obtained. These films exhibit specific deconstruction properties under simulated intracellular reducing conditions, but remain stable at physiological pH, suggesting potential applications in controlled drug release. The low-fouling properties of the PEG films are confirmed by incubation with human serum and a blood clot. Additionally, these capsules showed negligible toxicity to human cells. 相似文献

A semiautomated extraction and cleanup method has been developed to measure eight polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), 2,2',4,4',5,5'-hexabromobiphenyl (BB-153), and 2,2',4,4',5,5'-hexachlorobiphenyl (CB-153). The method employs solid-phase dispersion on diatomaceous earth in a solid-phase extraction cartridge followed by automated addition of internal standards ((13)C-labeled). Extraction is then performed using an automated modular solid-phase extraction system. The extraction procedure includes drying the sample on diatomaceous earth by pressurized nitrogen and eluting target analytes and lipids with dichloromethane. Lipid content is determined gravimetrically. Lipid determinations performed using this method are compared with other standard methods and with a certified reference material. A relative standard deviation of 7.9% was obtained for 130 determinations of the lipid content in a breast milk quality control sample. Final analytical determination of target analytes was performed by gas chromatography-isotope dilution high-resolution mass spectrometry. Relative standard deviations for the measurements of target analytes for which a labeled internal standard was available were below 10% for analytes at concentrations above 1 ng/g of lipid. Mean recoveries of the (13)C-labeled internal standards ranged from 60 to 89% for the eight PBDE congeners; 74 and 113% were recovered for BB-153 and CB-153, respectively. 相似文献

agent used is Tiron instead of the citrate anion most often mentioned in literature. The influence of various parameters has
been investigated, such as the content of Tiron with respect to that of the precursor of gold HAuCl4, or the initial pH of the solution after mixing of reactants. It is shown that Tiron also exerts a positive influence as
a dispersant, which impedes agglomeration of gold nanoparticles. The typical average size of GNP synthesized in the present

During the 1974–2004 period, the sleep literature had quadrupled (2384 publications in 1974, and 9721 in 2004) while overall
scientific productivity had only doubled. The set of the seven most productive countries (USA, Japan, United Kingdom, Germany,
France, Canada and Italy) in sleep research, and the geographical region distribution remained stable over the three decades.
On the other hand several indicators appeared in the sleep research literature during the 1990s: the increasing productivity
of sleep researchers; the growing number of countries publishing on sleep; the continuous creation of sleep-focused journals;
the scattering of sleep publication among increasingly more scientific journals; the turnover among the leading journals;

We solve the problem of finding the lowest stable-equilibrium pose of a rigid body subjected to gravity and suspended in space by an arbitrary number of cables. Besides representing a contribution to fundamental rigid-body mechanics, this solution finds application in two areas of robotics research: underconstrained cable-driven parallel robots and cooperative towing. The proposed approach consists in globally minimizing the rigid-body potential energy. This is done by applying a branch-and-bound algorithm over the group of rotations, which is partitioned into boxes in the space of Euler-Rodrigues parameters. The lower bound on the objective is obtained through a semidefinite relaxation of the optimization problem, whereas the upper bound is obtained by solving the same problem for a fixed orientation. The resulting algorithm is applied to several examples drawn from the literature. The reported Matlab implementation converges to the lowest stable equilibrium pose generally in a few seconds for cable-robot applications. Interestingly, the proposed method is only mildly sensitive to the number of suspending cables, which is shown by solving an example with 1000 cables in two hours. 相似文献

Electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy and the Monte Carlo (MC) technique were jointly applied to the physical dose reconstruction of the accident that occurred on 2 December 2001 in Georgia. Three people were exposed to two very-high-activity (2.6 x 10(15) Bq) 90Sr sources. Following this exposure, the two most seriously affected victims exhibited severe radiological injuries localised in the back as well as a haematopoietic syndrome. The information concerning the circumstances of the accident in terms of sequences of irradiation and the exposure time was not clearly established. The physical dose reconstruction of the accident was performed for one victim, treated in France, using both MC simulations and ESR measurements made on one vertebra and two rib samples removed from the victim for medical reasons. The complementary nature of the two tools made it possible to estimate the dose distribution within the body with reasonable accuracy and helped to develop the treatment strategy. 相似文献
