The present study was undertaken to build a finite element model of the head skeleton and to perform a new assessment approach in order to validate it. The application fields for such an improved model are injury risk prediction as well as surgical planning. The geometrical reconstruction was performed using computed tomography scans and a total of 4680 shell elements were meshed on the median surface of the head skeleton with the particular characteristic of adapted mesh density and real element thickness. The assessment protocol of the finite element model was achieved using a quasi-static experimental compression test performed on the zygomatic bone area of a defleshed isolated head. Mechanical behavior of the finite element model was compared to the real one and the assessment approach was divided into two steps. First, the mechanical properties of the anatomical structure were identified using the simulation and then the simulated displacement field was compared to local displacement measurement performed during test using a digital correlation method. The assessment showed that the head skeleton model behaved qualitatively like the real structure. Quantitatively, the local relative error varied from 8% up to 70%.  相似文献

A novel matrix inversion approach is proposed to correct several contributions to the instrument line shape (ILS) of a Fourier transform spectrometer. The matrix formalism for the ILS is first quickly reviewed. Formal inversion of the ILS matrix is next discussed, along with its limitations. The stability of the inversion process for large field-of view- (FOV-) limited and highly off-axis line shapes is investigated. The effect of inversion on the noise that is present in the spectrum is also presented. Use of classical iterative inversion methods, coupled with efficient synthesis algorithms, is proposed as a way to drastically speed up the inversion process. The method is applied to correct HBr spectra obtained from a laboratory spectrometer that has an adjustable field of view. ILSS from six FOVs are brought to the same spectral axis and to the same ideal sinc shape.  相似文献

Sewage treatment plants are frequently associated with the release of xenobiotics and, consequently, with alterations of the reproductive function induced by many of these substances in aquatic organisms. In order to assess the impacts of sewage treatment plant (STP) discharges in polluted rivers, two sentinel species (gudgeon Gobio gobio and stoneloach Barbatula barbatula) were caught during their reproductive cycle upstream and downstream two STPs (STP1--Goffontaine, STP2--Wegnez). Gonadosomatic index, histological (testicular and ovarian stages, atretic follicles, intersexuality) and endocrine (sex steroids, aromatase activity, alkali-labile phosphorus) parameters were assayed. In brief, the results revealed no systematic significant differences (p<0.05) between upstream and downstream sites, whatever the STP, species or sampling period. However, stoneloach females displayed some signs of reproductive impairment and endocrine disruption downstream STP1 (reduced GSI, oocyte diameter and ALP concentrations, increased proportion of atretic follicles) and STP2 (changes in gonadal aromatase activity and plasma levels of 11-KT and T). Few significant changes were observed for gudgeon males and females while there were no significant differences between upstream and downstream sites for stoneloach males. Moreover, plasma E(2) concentrations recorded in gudgeon males sampled in all sites were as high as in females and this was confirmed by high ALP levels. Besides, spermatogenesis of gudgeon males was delayed in STP1 upstream and downstream sites compared to the corresponding sites in STP2. These observations for gudgeon males do not seem related to STP discharge but to a probable estrogenicity of the river. Therefore, as shown by the results, stoneloach seemed more sensitive than gudgeon to STP discharges. In the present study, sewage treatment plant discharges do not substantially impair fish reproduction. In this respect, caution is required when generalising negative impacts of STP discharges.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Lipid nanoparticles were fabricated as an injectable carrier system for paclitaxel. The components for the lipid matrix were based on phospholipids, and sucrose fatty acid ester was used as an emulsifier. Formulation prepared with solvent injection has a slightly larger particle size (187.6 nm) than the formulation (147.7 nm) prepared with ultrasound emulsification. Differential scanning calorimetry results indicated that paclitaxel entrapped in the lipid nanoparticles existed in an amorphous state in the lipid matrix. In vitro drug release was rather slow; only 12.5–16.5% of the drug released from the formulations within 14 days. Lipid nanoparticles demonstrated their potential as a promising pharmaceutical formulation of paclitaxel.  相似文献
