In this paper the application of workflow technology to monitor, control and coordinate business processes and projects is proposed. The conceptual characteristics of processes and projects as well as their management needs in the functions of planning, execution, monitoring and control are compared. The general design of the proposed system is then developed, with an application example. The proposed monitoring and control system provides proactive tracking of the flow of work and information, and of the utilization and commitment of resources. The design supports hierarchical management of the project and/or business process, allowing concerned persons to visualize and to utilize it in different levels of abstraction, as necessary. The application of workflow technology also provides additional benefits in facilitating communication, documentation and re-utilization.  相似文献

Utilization of polyhydroxylated C60 (fullerenols) in a condensation reaction with diisocyanated oligo(tetramethylene oxide) led to the successful fabrication of elastomeric poly (urethane-ether) networks. These polymer networks exhibit interesting thermal behavior at low temperatures, improved tensile strength and elongation at ambient temperatures, and enhanced thermal mechanical stability at high temperatures, as compared with those of the parent linear polyurethane analogues; or with the conventional oligo (tetramethylene oxide)-derived polyurethane elastomers cross-linked by trihydroxylated reagents (1,I,1-trismethylol propane) or tetrahydroxylated reagents (pentaerythritol). The presence of a limited quantity of water molecules in the condensation reaction of fullerenols with diisocyanated prepolymers modified the physical properties of the resulting elastomeric products with a notable increase in tensile strength, modulus, and Ts over those of elasotmers prepared under anhydrous conditions. These water molecules contributed effectively to the increase of the number of cross-linking centers during the reaction.  相似文献

This paper presents the computer-aided design (CAD) and performance analysis of a novel direct-driven wheel brushless DC motor drive for electric vehicles (EVs). The proposed motor is a permanent magnet square-wave motor, whose rotor with rare earth magnets forms the exterior of the motor, which can be fitted with a wheel tire to realize the direct drive for each wheel of an EV. The interior stator with its windings is rigidly mounted onto the suspension and frame structure of the vehicle. In order to achieve the direct drive without any mechanical transmission for EVs, the wheel motor has been designed as a low-speed high-torque motor. The design and optimization of the motor geometry was achieved with the aid of finite-element electromagnetic field analysis. Simulation studies on the transient performance of the motor drive were also carried out. This involved the creation of the motor transient model and formulation of a motor control strategy to ensure the wheel motor drive runs efficiently in the entire permitted speed and load range. A significant improvement in the precision of the hollow cathode as an emission source is reported. Precision of 1% or less has been observed several times over periods of several hours. An average long-term stability of 4.3% for Ll and 6.0% for Na in the emission signal from microsamples (less than 50 nL) deposited in the hollow cathode discharge source is reported. The improved precision is attributed primarily to the introduction of electronics that hold the discharge current more nearly constant and to the shielding of all wiring to the source from the power supply. A current-controlled switch that is capable of driving a hollow cathode discharge in either dc or pulsed mode is described. This switch is capable of generating current pulses as short as 2 microseconds through a resistive load and greatly improves the discharge stability and repeatability at turn-on in both the dc and pulsed modes. The characteristics of pulses produced by this switch are presented; however, analytical performance is reported only for the dc mode. Temporal current plots are presented for the new instrumentation and compared to plots taken with commonly used current-controlled power supplies. Instrumentation, operation, and sample preparation procedures are described. Typical temporal profiles of the emission signal from microsamples deposited in AI and stainless steel hollow cathodes are given.  相似文献

This paper presents the results of analytical investigations to determine the potential heating energy savings that can be achieved in residential buildings by controlling the house temperature through either night setback or night setback plus day zone setback. A typical U.S. single family house is analyzed for different levels of thermal integrity of the building envelope (i.e., levels of insulation, window glazing, and infiltration). Reduced infiltration, insulated interior walls, and various window orientations are also considered. Results are given for four major U.S. climate zones—cool, temperate, hot-humid, and hot-arid. The analysis shows that both types of setbacks are most effective in loose houses, with the greatest absolute savings for the cool climates, and the greatest percent savings for the hot climates. However, the benefits from thermostat setbacks are smaller for tighter houses, and may actually be counterproductive owing to corollary effects such as increased peak loads and degradation of system efficiency.  相似文献

The DBP5 gene encodes a putative RNA helicase of unknown function in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is shown here that Dbp5p is an ATP-dependent RNA helicase required for polyadenylated [poly(A)+] RNA export. Surprisingly, Dbp5p is present predominantly, if not exclusively, in the cytoplasm, and is highly enriched around the nuclear envelope. This observation raises the possibility that Dbp5p may play a role in unloading or remodeling messenger RNA particles (mRNPs) upon arrival in the cytoplasm and in coupling mRNP export and translation. The functions of Dbp5p are likely to be conserved, since its potential homologues can be found in a variety of eukaryotic cells.  相似文献

Spatially resolved X-ray diffraction (SRXRD) is used to map the αβα phase transformation in the heat-affected zone (HAZ) of commercially pure titanium gas tungsten arc welds. In situ SRXRD experiments were conducted using a 180-μm-diameter X-ray beam at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (SSRL) (Stanford, CA) to probe the phases present in the HAZ of a 1.9 kW weld moving at 1.1 mm/s. Results of sequential linear X-ray diffraction scans made perpendicular to the weld direction were combined to construct a phase transformation map around the liquid weld pool. This map identifies six HAZ microstructural regions between the liquid weld pool and the base metal: (1) α-Ti that is undergoing annealing and recrystallization; (2) completely recrystallized α-Ti; (3) partially transformed α-Ti, where α-Ti and β-Ti coexist; (4) single-phase β-Ti; (5) back-transformed α-Ti; and (6) recrystallized α-Ti plus back-transformed α-Ti. Although the microstructure consisted predominantly of α-Ti, both prior to and after the weld, the crystallographically textured starting material was altered during welding to produce different α-Ti textures within the resulting HAZ. Based on the travel speed of the weld, the αβ transformation was measured to take 1.83 seconds during heating, while the βα transformation was measured to take 0.91 seconds during cooling. The αβ transformation was characterized to be dominated by long-range diffusional growth on the leading (heating) side of the weld, while the βα transformation was characterized to be predominantly massive on the trailing (cooling) side of the weld, with a massive growth rate on the order of 100 μm/s.  相似文献

Thermodynamic studies of the non-stoichiometric iron doped beta-alumina (ID) phase were carried out by electrochemical measurements coupled with coulometric titration using the cell Naliq/Li-alumina/ID. Hot pressing and glass sealing techniques were developed and employed to obtain a suitable and stable Li-alumina/ID interface. The equilibrium e.m.f. of the cell was determined as a function of sodium concentration over the temperature range 444 to 523 K. The range of sodium concentrations over which the ID phase is stable was also determined. The relative partial molar thermodynamic quantities of sodium, , , and in ID alumina as a function of sodium concentration were obtained from cell e.m.f. data.  相似文献
