Partition characteristics of three close-boiling components (dichloromethane, diethylether, and dimethoxymethane) were investigated with dinonylphthaiate-coated Chromosorb A and helium as the carrier. The outlet stream from the Chromatographic column was monitored continuously. Partition coefficients were experimentally determined at various column temperatures for the three components. With the assumption of uniform film thickness, two parameters were estimated by Fourier analysis of the response curves. The Peclet number for particle was expressed in terms of the Reynolds number and the Schmidt number as: $$\frac{1}{{Pe,p}} = \frac{{0.87}}{{\operatorname{Re} \cdot Sc}} + 0.5$$ Intraparticle diffusion coefficient of each component was also determined in the form of the dimensionless group. Pi. The theoretical response curve in time domain was in good agreement with the observed one. From the sensitivity analysis, it is concluded that the liquid film resistance was small and the diffusion in the liquid phase was not a rate-determining step.  相似文献

A agitated vessel of Lewis cell type was used to investigate the effect of physical properties on the mass transfer coefficient for partially miscible binary systems. Some measurements were performed with ternary systems transferring only one solute across two immiscible solvents. The mass transfer coefficients were measured under the conventional contra-rotating conditions which were behaved as if the interface was not rotating for some combinations of agitation speeds in each of the two phases. The mass transfer coefficient was deduced from solving a steady-state two dimensional convective-diffusion equation with the assumption of sinusoidal motion of eddies. Owing to the complexity of the hydrodynamic conditions near the liquid-liquid interface, theoretical approach was impossible. Thus, the effects of forced turbulence and physical properlies on the effective surface renewal time were experimentally investigated. The implementation of Lee's maze routing algorithm on an MIMD hypercube multiprocessor computer can follow several plausible mappings and synchronization strategies. These are evaluated experimentally on an NCUBE/7 hypercube computer with 64 processors. Different grid partitioning and mapping strategies result in a different balance between computation and communication time. The total routing time is significantly impacted by the synchronization and termination detection scheme used. Further, by rearranging the computation, it is possible to overlap much of the interprocessor communication with the computation and realize a significant reduction in the overall run time. By choosing the right partitioning and synchronization scheme and by overlapping computation and communication, a good speedup is obtained on large routing grids.  相似文献

We present a generalization of the corner classification approach to training feedforward neural networks that allows rapid learning of nonbinary data. These generalized networks, called fast classification (FC) networks, are compared against backpropagation and radial basis function networks and are shown to have excellent performance for prediction of time series and pattern recognition. FC networks do not require iterative training and they can be used in many signal processing applications where fast, nonlinear filtering provides an advantage.  相似文献

Digital On-Channel Repeater (DOCR) can be used for Single Frequency Networks (SFN's). It is much simple and low cost compared to Distributed Transmitter which needs Studio to Transmitter Link (STL). However, traditional DOCR has one of those defects such as a power limit, a long time system processing delay or a poor output signal quality. In order to overcome all of those defects, we introduce Equalization DOCR (EDOCR) which regenerates the original 8-VSB output signal with relatively short time system processing delay. Lab. and Field test results show that the EDOCR can eliminate the loop-back signal up to 5.5 dB with 5.5 /spl mu/s system processing delay. By using EDOCR, we can save spectrum resources and extend coverage areas.  相似文献

Purified Semliki forest virus in aerosols is inactivated rapidly at 40% and above 70% relative humidity. At all humidities tested the decay of virus infectivity runs parallel with the decrease in hemagglutination activity, whereas the biological integrity of the virus ribonucleic acid is preserved. Also, free infectious ribonucleic acid is stable after spraying at all relative humidities. Evidence is presented for the hypothesis that above 20% relative humidity, virus inactivation in aersols is mainly due to surface-dependent factors, damaging the virus coat.  相似文献

In this paper we present a multisubscriber variable-rate sampling hybrid companding delta modulation (HCDM) system for simultaneous transmission of several speech signals. This system employs both the statistical multiplexing and variable-rate sampling schemes. It transmits speech signals synchronously at a fixed rate using a buffer. In this system the sampling rate of each subscriber is varied according to the speech activity and the status of buffer occupancy, and only the speech portion is coded for transmission. To optimize the system performance within the allowed maximum transmission delay (300 ms), an efficient dynamic buffer control algorithm is proposed. When the number of subscribers is six and the transmission rate for each subscriber is 16 kbits/s, the proposed system yields a performance improvement of about 10 dB over the conventional single-subscriber HCDM system. The buffer delay in this case is 150 ms, which gives a perceptually negligible effect.  相似文献
