Recently, many channelized rivers tend to be heavily vegetated due to regime shifts in hydrological, fluvial and ecological processes. Dense vegetation in a river frequently obstructs a flood flow and reduces conveyance capacity of channels. On the other hand, river vegetation provides various ecological services such as habitats for various species and life, natural cycle of organic and inorganic substances, etc.. It is of engineering importance to understand vegetation hydrodynamics in order to preserve vegetation nature and keep a certain level of flow conveyance capacity. In view that willows tend to be densely vegetated along the shoreline of floodplains or sandbars, a field measurement, a physical model experiment and a numerical analysis were carried out for investigating hydrodynamics in an open channel with riparian vegetation. Discussion was made focusing on flow and shear layer structures developed around the vegetation canopy.  相似文献

Immunoglobulin A1 (IgA1) concentration in the plasma of patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN) as the cause of renal failure is higher than that in the plasma of normal controls. IgA1 with abnormal sugars is considered to deposit in the glomerular mesangium, aggravating nephritis in IgAN. Jacalin is a lectin that recognizes sugars on IgA1. However, its selective-recognition for normal-type (ST type, NeuAc-α(2,3)-Gal-β(1,3)-GalNAc) and abnormal-type (T type, Gal-β(1,3)-GalNAc; Tn type, GalNAc; STn type, NeuAc-α(2,6)-GalNAc) sugars α-O-linked to serine/threonine in IgA1 is weak. Therefore, jacalin cannot be used for recognizing specific sugar types on IgA1. We attempted to develop a new recognition method for specific sugar types on IgA1 by utilizing the multirecognition capability of jacalin. Its binding abilities were regulated by heat denaturation with suitable template sugar (galactose or N-acetylgalactosamine). Further, we successfully prepared denatured-jacalin derivatives, which recognized ST-/T-type sugars on IgA1, by sugar-immobilized affinity chromatography. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay of denatured-jacalin derivatives, showed the ratios of abnormal sugars on IgA1 in the plasma of IgAN patients and normal controls to be approximately 60% and 20%, respectively. The results proved that profiling of sugar types in IgAN can successfully be performed by solely using jacalin derivatives.  相似文献

An agarolytic bacterium was isolated from soil in Gifu prefecture, Japan, and identified as Bacillus sp. strain MK03. The strain secreted neoagarooligosaccharide hydroluse into the culture medium. The enzyme was purified 49.7-fold from the culture fluid by ammonium sulfate precipitation and anion-exchange and gel-filtration column chromatographic methods. The purified enzyme appeared as a single band on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-PAGE. Estimations of the molecular mass by gel filtration and SDS-PAGE gave values of 320 kDa and 42 kDa, respectively, indicating that the enzyme is octametric. The enzyme cleaved the alpha-1,3 linkage in neoagarobiose to produce 3,6-anhydro-L-galactose and D-galactose. It also selectively cleaved the alpha-1,3 linkage at the nonreducing end in neoagarotetraose or neoagarohexaose to give 3,6-anhydro-L-galactose and agarotriose or agaropentaose. The optimum temperature and pH for the enzyme were 30 degrees C and 6.1, respectively. The N-terminal amino acid sequence showed no homology to sequences of other known neoagarooligosaccharide hydrolases and agarases.  相似文献

Experiments were undertaken to compare the equal-channel angular (ECA) pressing of Al-1 pct Mg and Al-3 pct Mg solid-solution alloys with pure Al. The results reveal both similarities and differences between these three materials. Bands of subgrains are formed in all three materials in a single passage through the die, and these subgrains subsequently evolve, on further pressings through the die, into an array of grains with high-angle boundaries. However, the addition of magnesium to an aluminum matrix decreases the rate of recovery and this leads, with an increasing Mg content, both to an increase in the number of pressings required to establish a homogeneous microstructure and to a decrease in the ultimate equiaxed equilibrium grain size. It is concluded that alloys exhibiting low rates of recovery should be especially attractive candidate materials for establishing ultrafine structures through grain refinement using the ECA pressing technique.  相似文献

Summary Liquid crystalline side-chain polysiloxanes were prepared without metal complex catalyst. Mesogenic groups such as cholesteryl, 4-cyano-4-biphenyl and 4-methoxy-4-biphenyl group were introduced into polysiloxane by esterification and from DSC measurements they were compatible with other liquid crystalline polysiloxanes reported previously.  相似文献

Fiber volume plays a critical role in achieving stable mechanical and physical properties in composite structures. This study develops a method to control this parameter in carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRPs) on the basis of the viscoelastic character of the thermosetting matrix resin. This method relies on the loss angle δ to quantitatively control fiber volume. CFRP flat panels are manufactured at varying initiating times of pressure application depending on the δ value of the CFRP matrix resin. An analysis of the manufactured panels clearly shows that the target fiber volumes can be obtained at an appropriate δ range. Specifically, CFRP fiber volumes can be controlled through the loss angle of the matrix resin. A method was developed for the analysis of ethychlozate (CIE) and its decomposition compound, 5-chloro-3(1H)-indazolylacetic acid (CIA) in fruits by HPLC and LC/MS. The sample was homogenized with 1 mol/L HC1, and CIE and CIA were extracted with 5 mol/L HCl and acetone. They were extracted from the acetone extract with diethylether-n-hexane (2:1). CIE was hydrolyzed to CIA with methanol-4 mol/L KOH (1:1). The solution was made acidic, and CIA was extracted with diethylether-n-hexane (2:1). The extract was cleaned up on a silica gel column. CIA was determined by HPLC-UV and LC/MS (Scan or SIR). Four fruits were spiked with CIE or CIA at 0.5 microgram/g and analyzed by the proposed method with HPLC. The average recoveries were 77.2-83.2% for CIE and 71.2-89.2% for CIA. The concentrations determined by LC/MS were 10-25% higher than the values by HPLC. The limit of detection (LOD) of CIA standard solution by HPLC corresponds to 0.015 microgram/g of CIE in the sample. In the same way, the LOD of CIA by LC/MS (SIR) corresponds to 0.009 microgram/g of CIE in the sample.  相似文献

We have been developed novel catalysts for gasification of biomass with much higher energy efficiency than conventional methods (non-catalyst, dolomite, commercial steam reforming Ni catalyst). From the result of the gasification of cellulose over novel Rh/CeO2/SiO2 catalysts, it is found that the gasification process consists of the reforming of tar and the combustion of solid carbon. We also tested novel Rh/CeO2/SiO2 in the gasification with air, pyrogasification, and steam reforming of cedar wood. As a result, Rh/CeO2/SiO2 gave higher yield of syngas than the conventional steam reforming Ni catalyst. Furthermore, we compared the performance between single and dual bed reactors. Single bed reactor was effective in the gasification of cedar, however, it was not suitable for the gasification of rice straw since a rapid deactivation was observed. Gasification of rice straw, jute stick, baggase using the fluidized dual-bed reactor and Rh/CeO2/SiO2 was also investigated. Especially, the catalyst stability in the gasification of rice straw clearly was enhanced by using the fluidized dual bed reactor.  相似文献
