We propose an optically clocked transistor array optoelectronic integrated circuit (OEIC) for both serial-to-parallel and parallel-to-serial conversion (demux/mux), enabling an interface between high-speed asynchronous burst optical labels and CMOS circuitry for optical label swapping. Dual functionality of the OEIC reduces size, power, and cost of the optical label swapper. The capability for greater than 20-Gb/s conversion operation is demonstrated.  相似文献

Vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser diodes with GaInNAs-GaAs quantum-well (QW) active layers are demonstrated for the first time. GaInNAs permits the realization of a long-wavelength vertical-cavity laser grown directly on a GaAs substrate. Room-temperature (RT) pulsed operation is achieved, with an active wavelength near 1.18 μm, threshold current density of 3.1 kA/cm2, slope efficiency of ~0.04 W/A, and output power above 5 mW for 45-μm-diameter devices. Surges are undesirable with respect to both the reliability and the efficiency of power devices. In this paper, the surge mechanism of an induction heating power supply is studied. First, a modified phase locked loop (PLL) controller is proposed such that the changing resonant frequency of the heated load can be tracked correctly and the zero voltage switching (ZVS) can be reliably maintained simultaneously. Then, a very simple and practical surge model is proposed. Surge analyses for both ZVS and non-ZVS modes are made in sequence. It is found that the extra energy built up in the line inductance during the reverse recovery process of the diodes plays a very important role in generating huge voltages. Finally, some simulation and measured results are provided to verify the validity of the proposed surge model  相似文献

Requirements for a terrestrial ISDB system and the schemes for efficiently using frequencies to fulfil the requirements are discussed. One requirement of a terrestrial ISDB system is the efficient allocation of frequencies using a SFN (single frequency network). The SFN incorporates the great advantages of OFDM, which has excellent performance under multi-path conditions. The transmission characteristics of 64QAM-OFDM and the SFN capability using 64QAM-OFDM in the Kanto area, including the Tokyo metropolitan area, are analyzed. The results show that more than a 97% coverage ratio can be obtained even by using a single channel while the same area is covered currently by more than 30 analog channels. The other requirement is a scheme for efficiently using the available frequency band for various services. A transmission scheme concept called BST-OFDM (band segmented transmission-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) is proposed as a transmission scheme for meeting the requirements of a terrestrial ISDB system. In the BST-OFDM scheme, data are transmitted in a number of OFDM blocks called a BST-segment, for which channel coding and modulation schemes can be independently defined to provide robustness in the transmission environment according to stationary, portable and mobile reception  相似文献

In order to achieve the high-rate production of fibre preforms, the deposition mechanism in the VAD process has been investigated. The particle deposition rate was found to depend on the Reynolds number of the flame stream. The high-rate preform production of 4.5 g/min was attained by applying this result to the preform fabrication technique.  相似文献

The fungal oil extracted fromMortierella ramanniana var.angulispora (IFO 8187) was solvent winterized in order to raise the content of γ-linolenic acid (GLA). Effects of winterization conditions (solvent, oil concentration in the solvent and temperature) and changes of glyceride compositions were discussed. The fungal oil was separated into four diglycerides and 17 triglycerides (TG) with high performance liquid chromatography. The predominant species were POO, POP and LOP, whose contents were 24.4, 22.9 and 9.4% of the total TG, respectively. Ethanol at 4°C gave the highest GLA content of 10.5% in spite of lower yield than with acetone at −20°C. The highest separation efficiency for GLA (ηGLA) was 0.27 with acetone at −20°C and 10% oil concentration, resulting in 8.3% of GLA from the fungal oil at 5.7% LGA. In case of lower oil concentration at 5–20%, ηGLA showed higher in the following order: acetone (−20°C)>n-hexane (−20°C)>acetone (4°C)>petroleum ether (−20°C). The winterization process also proved to be effective for the separation of TG type, Sa2U (Sa; saturated fatty acid; U, unsaturated fatty acid) into the crystallized fraction and SaU2 into the liquid fraction. Acetone at −20°C showed higher separation efficiency for triunsaturated TG than the other solvents.  相似文献

Bioassays were performed on malePeriplaneta americana L. using synthetic (–)-periplanone-B (P-B) and Hauptmann's (–)-periplanone-A (P-A), and their mixtures at various ratios to estimate the roles of both periplanones for the sexual communication of the species. Both P-A and P-B elicited qualitatively the same responses, such as antennal movement, rapid locomotion, wing raising, and homosexual behavior of male cockroaches, but the threshold of the pheromone activities for P-B was two orders of magnitude lower than that of P-A. Neither synergistic nor inhibitory but only a simple integrated effect on the responses was observed when mixtures of P-A and P-B were applied.  相似文献

The general method of analysis for resonant power converters is presented. This analytical method generalizes the idea of state-space-averaging technique to overcome the limitations of the conventional state-space-averaging method. As the result, the characteristics of resonant power converters are clarified so that transfer functions and stability conditions are revealed. In addition, a computer program of analysis based on the proposed method is developed. A redundant multivalued logic is proposed for high-speed communication ICs. In this logic, serial binary data are received and converted into parallel redundant multivalued data. Then they are restored into parallel binary data. Because of the multivalued data conversion, this logic makes it possible to achieve higher operating speeds than that of a conventional binary logic. Using this logic, a 1:4 demultiplexer (DEMUX, serial-parallel converter) IC was fabricated using a 0.18-/spl mu/m CMOS process. The IC achieved an operating speed of 10 Gb/s with a supply voltage of only 1.3 V and with power consumption of 38 mW. This logic may achieve CMOS communication ICs with an operating speed several times greater than 10 Gb/s.  相似文献

As a two-dimensional parallel digital processing device, we describe a switchable-logic photonic switch array that monolithically integrates metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) photodetectors, field-effect-transistor (FET) amplifiers, and multiple-quantum-well (MQW) modulators. All-optical positive and negative logic operations are demonstrated with controllable thresholds and a 3-dB bandwidth of 300 MHz.
