A compact electrostatic levitator was developed for the structural analysis of high-temperature liquids by x-ray diffraction methods. The size of the levitator was 200 mm in diameter and 200 mm in height and can be set up on a two axis diffractometer with a laboratory x-ray source, which is very convenient in performing structural measurements of high-temperature liquids. In particular, since the laboratory x-ray source allows a great amount of user time, preliminary or challenging experiments can be performed with trial and error, which prepares and complements synchrotron x-ray experiments. The present small apparatus also provides the advantage of portability and facility of setting. To demonstrate the capability of this electrostatic levitator, the static structure factors of alumina and silicon samples in their liquid phases were successfully measured.  相似文献

Structural changes in the Brill transitions of Nylon 10/10 and its model compounds have been investigated by carrying out the temperature-dependent measurements of X-ray diffraction and infrared spectra along with the DSC measurement. The crystal structure at room temperature was found to be the so-called α form with the all-trans zigzag methylene segments. When the samples were heated, the infrared progression bands of the methylene segments, which are sensitive to the length of all-trans segmental parts, were found to change their spectral patterns in the transition temperature region: the progression bands decreased in intensity and disappeared above the transition region. At the same time several new bands were observed to appear, which were found to correspond to the progression bands of (CH2)7-(CH2)5trans-zigzag segments. These spectral changes indicate that the methylene segments were conformationally disordered by an invasion of some gauche bonds and as a result the effective length of trans-zigzag segments became shorter. This conformational disordering was found to occur more remarkably in the methylene segment of NH-(CH2)10-NH part than the CO-(CH2)8-CO part. At the same time the infrared bands of amide groups, in particular the bands sensitive to the twisting angles about the CH2-amide bonds were found to show the remarkable change, indicating the local conformational change from planar-zigzag to twisted form in the CH2-amide moiety. The frequency shift of amide A band (NH stretching mode) indicated a weakening of intermolecular hydrogen bonds, which however, did not disappear up to the melting region. From these data combined with the X-ray diffraction data, the structural disordering in the Brill transition phenomena was deduced concretely.  相似文献

Phonon emission from a large-amplitude discrete sine-Gordon breather was studied numerically for a small degree of discreteness. In contrast to the case of highly discrete system investigated by Boesch and Peyrard (Phys. Rev. B 43 (1991) 8491), it was found that the resonance between the breather's oscillation and the phonons of the lower phonon band edge (κ=0) takes place for a small degree of discreteness.  相似文献

Bioresorbable and functionally graded apatites (fg-HAp) ceramics, which are characterized by gradations in crystallinity and the grain size of hydroxyapatite (HAp:Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2), were designed using bovine bone by the calcination and partial dissolution–precipitation method. The fg-HAp ceramics had macropores of 100–600 μm originated from spongy bone, and micropores of 10–160 nm. Fg-HAp ceramics loaded with recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2/fg-HAp) were implanted into the subcutaneous tissue of rats. Eight weeks after the implantation, the surface and bulk degradations of the fg-HAp-containing body fluid occured, and small pieces of fg-HAp were incorporated into the induced bone and fatty marrow, suggesting that osteoinduction occurred in conjunction with bone remodeling. The rhBMP-2/fg-HAp ceramics developed could become a resorbable biomimetic material with fast bioresorption and osteoinduction characteristics.  相似文献

VLSI-oriented multiple-valued current-mode MOS arithmetic circuits using radix-2 signed-digit number representations are proposed. A prototype adder chip is implemented with 10-μm CMOS technology to confirm the principle of operation. A multiplication scheme using four-input current-mode wired summations for realizing a high-speed small-size multiplier is presented. The 32×32-b multiplier is composed of 18800 transistors and required fewer interconnections. The multiply time is estimated to be 45 ns by SPICE simulation in 2-μm CMOS technology. It is shown that the technology is also potentially effective for the reduction of the data-bus area in VLSI  相似文献

The modification of thermoelectric figure of merit was estimated from enhanced mobility of [100] oriented beta-FeSi2 film. beta-FeSi2 on Si(001) substrate was prepared by molecular beam epitaxy method using an Fe source. The crystallographic orientation of beta-FeSi2 film on Si(001) substrate was characterized by using X-ray diffraction. Using scanning electron microscopy, surface morphology and film thickness of samples were observed and estimated, respectively. The mobility of beta-FeS2 film on Si(001) substrate were also characterized by Hall measurement at room temperature. A part of the enhancement of figure of merit was evaluated as the functions of mobility and crystallographic orientation of samples.  相似文献

A versatile solid‐phase approach based on peptide chemistry was used to construct four classes of structurally diverse polyamines with modified backbones: linear, partially constrained, branched, and cyclic. Their effects on DNA duplex stability and structure were examined. The polyamines showed distinct activities, thus highlighting the importance of polyamine backbone structure. Interestingly, the rank order of polyamine ability for DNA compaction was different to that for their effects on circular dichroism and melting temperature, thus indicating that these polyamines have distinct effects on secondary and higher‐order structures of DNA.  相似文献

We have investigated the influence of sodium (Na) on the properties of co‐evaporated Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) layer microstructures and solar cells. The photovoltaic performance and diode properties were improved by incorporating Na from NaF layers into the CZTS layers, while Na had a negligible effect on the microstructural properties of the layer. The best cell fabricated by using an optimal CZTS layer (Cu/(Zn + Sn) = 0.70, Zn/Sn = 1.8) yielded an active area efficiency of 5.23%. The analysis of device properties suggests that charge‐carrier recombination at CZTS/CdS interface is suppressed by intentional Na incorporation from NaF layers.
