Forsterite (Mg2SiO4) indicates a high quality factor (Q·f) of 270,000 GHz and a low dielectric constant ? r of 6.8, which are applicable for microwave and millimeter-wave dielectric devices. However, a large negative temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τ f) of ?73 ppm/°C hinders stability. Actually, Mg2SiO4–TiO2 composite ceramics prepared by ordinary solid state reaction showed improved τ f to 0 ppm/°C. However, Q·f of the composite ceramics decreased because other phases such as MgTi2O5, MgTiO3 and MgSiO3 were created in the reaction between TiO2 and Mg2SiO4 during sintering. This study uses a different process to prepare the Mg2SiO4–TiO2 composite ceramics to prevent the production of the secondary phase. Porous Mg2SiO4 ceramics were prepared by sintering Mg2SiO4 with pore-forming agents. Then, TiO2 was inserted into the pores using liquid phase deposition (LPD). Deposited TiO2 in the pores was anatase form. The increase of the inserted anatase TiO2 amount contributed to improvement of τ f.  相似文献

Feynman-α method is used as the representative method in reactor noise analysis for the criticality monitoring. Feynman-α analysis needs a large amount of measurement time in its original process, though many researchers use the bunching method and its derived methods for the experimental data processing to shorten the measurement time. However, the detailed characteristics and the application limit of the bunching method have not been researched and discussed enough. This paper shows a possibility that the Bunching method is a method to reduce the probability fluctuation with the Y value only in the appearance. Moreover, the criteria for determining that the Y value is not an accidental product are also provided in this paper.  相似文献

An inhibitor of human tyrosinase activity in rum distillate wastewater was isolated and identified as (S)-(+)-imperanene (1). (S)-(+)-Imperanene significantly inhibited tyrosinase isolated from HMV-II cells (IC(50) 1.85 mM). Inhibition kinetics studies revealed that imperanene is a competitive inhibitor of tyrosinase when L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine is used as the substrate. The inhibitory activities of 1, O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl imperanene (2) and O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-3-methoxyl imperanene (3) were 1>2>3.  相似文献

Investigations of the validity of labeling regarding genetically modified (GM) products were conducted using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods for foreign-made processed foods made from corn and potato purchased in the Tokyo area and in the USA. Several kinds of GM crops were detected in 12 of 32 samples of processed corn samples. More than two GM events for which safety reviews have been completed in Japan were simultaneously detected in 10 samples. GM events MON810 and Bt11 were most frequently detected in the samples by qualitative PCR methods. MON810 was detected in 11 of the 12 samples, and Bt11 was detected in 6 of the 12 samples. In addition, Roundup Ready soy was detected in one of the 12 samples. On the other hand, CBH351, for which the safety assessment was withdrawn in Japan, was not detected in any of the 12 samples. A trial quantitative analysis was performed on six of the GM maize qualitatively positive samples. The estimated amounts of GM maize in these samples ranged from 0.2 to 2.8%, except for one sample, which contained 24.1%. For this sample, the total amount found by event-specific quantitative analysis was 23.8%. Additionally, Roundup Ready soy was detected in one sample of 21 potato-processed foods, although GM potatoes were not detected in any sample.  相似文献

A large volume injection head-space GC method was established for measuring low levels of residual methanol and ethanol in licorice extract used a food additive. A vial was kept at 50 degrees C in the oven of the head-space sampler. Injection of the head-space gas for 0.75 min into a Poraplot Q GC column with a initial oven temperature of 35 degrees C, enabled the determination of low levels (5 micrograms/g) of methanol and ethanol. The standard deviations for five rounds of analysis of methanol and ethanol in licorice extracts were between 0.82 and 2.97. Methanol was found in 6 samples out of 9 collected in 1999, at concentrations exceeding 50 micrograms/g, the limit set by the Japanese Government, established in 1999 and coming into force on April 1, 2000. The highest concentration reached 10,000 micrograms/g. Methanol at a concentration exceeding 50 micrograms/g was found in 2 out of 9 samples collected in 2000. An analytical method for the determination of 32 kinds of pesticide residues in onions, Welsh onions and mushrooms using gas chromatograph with an atomic emission detector (GC-AED) was developed. The pesticides were extracted with acetone-n-hexane (2:3) mixture. The crude extract was partitioned between 5% sodium chloride and ethyl acetate-n-hexane (1:4) mixture. The extract was passed through a Florisil mini-column for cleanup with 10 mL of acetone-n-hexane (1:9) mixture. Although the sensitivity of GC-AED was inferior to that of GC-ECD, GC-AED has a superior element-selectivity. Therefore pesticide residues in foods could be analyzed more exactly by using GC-AED. Thirty-two pesticides including chlorine in onion, Welsh onion and shiitake mushroom were detected without interference. Recoveries of these pesticides from samples determined by GC-AED were 64-114%, except for a few pesticides.  相似文献

Seafood frequently contains high concentrations of arsenic (approximately 10-100 mg/kg dry weight). In marine algae (seaweed), this arsenic occurs predominantly as ribose derivatives known collectively as arsenosugars. Although it is clear that arsenosugars are not acutely toxic, there is a possibility of arsenosugars having slight chronic toxicity. In general, trivalent arsenicals are more toxic than their pentavalent counterparts, so in this work we examine the hypothesis that trivalent arsenosugars might be significantly more toxic than pentavalent arsenosugars in vitro. We compared the in vitro toxicity of (R)-2,3-dihydroxypropyl-5-deoxy-5-dimethylarsinoyl-beta-D-riboside, a pentavalent arsenosugar, to that of its trivalent counterpart, (R)-2,3-dihydroxypropyl-5-deoxy-5-dimethylarsino-beta-D-riboside. The trivalent arsenosugar nicked plasmid DNA, whereas the pentavalent arsenosugar did not. The trivalent arsenosugar was more cytotoxic (IC50 = 200 microM, 48 h exposure) than its pentavalent counterpart (IC50 > 6000 microM, 48 h exposure) in normal human epidermal keratinocytes in vitro as determined via the neutral red uptake assay. However, both the trivalent and the pentavalent arsenosugars were significantly less toxic than MMA(III), DMA(III), and arsenate. Neither the pentavalent arsenosugar nor the trivalent arsenosugar were mutagenic in Salmonella TA104. The trivalent arsenosugar was readily formed by reaction of the pentavalent arsenosugar with thiol compounds, including, cysteine, glutathione, and dithioerythritol. This work suggests that the reduction of pentavalent arsenosugars to trivalent arsenosugars in biology might have environmental consequences, especially because seaweed consumption is a significant environmental source for human exposure to arsenicals.  相似文献

Titanium oxide-based composites containing (1) Nb, (2) Nb and Sr, and (3) Sr and La were fabricated by a combination of wet processing and reactive spark plasma sintering in which the metal oxide components were reduced by reaction with titanium nitride. If only TiO2 was used as the starting material, several Magneli-type phases of oxygen-deficient titanium oxides were obtained. When mixed with Nb ions with Ti:Nb = 0.9:0.1, microsegregation of Nb ions was observed (case 1). If Sr was added, a perovskite, SrTiO3 (STO) phase occurred (case 2), which contained La ions in the case of La addition (case 3). The sintered compacts consisted largely of grains of about 1 μm in size. In the case of Ti-Nb combination (case 1), a unique stripe pattern also appeared inside the grains. The electrical conductivity increased monotonically with increasing temperature in the case of the pure Magneli phases and the Nb-containing composite, whereas bow-shaped temperature dependences with a maximum were observed in the case of the composites containing STO phases. The Seebeck coefficients were commonly negative, and the absolute values increased with temperature. The thermal conductivity was between 2 W m?1 K?1 and 4 W m?1 K?1 in the temperature range from room temperature to 800°C. A maximum ZT of 0.34 was achieved at 800°C (case 2).  相似文献

THE PENETRATION OF PHOTOv oltaic (PV) systems in Japan has been on the rise. Two factors have been promoting the increase: improved generation effi ciency of PV modules and governmental subsidies for the initial cost of residential PV generation systems. As a result, the cumulative installed PV capacity has increased exponentially, as shown in Figure 1; however, the cumulative installed PV capacity by 2007 was only about 40% of the target for 2010 (4,820 MW). Reaching the target and promoting larger installation capacities in the future will require further installation in the residential sector and the construction of large-scale PV systems.  相似文献

Lewis number represents the thermo-diffusive effects on laminar flames. That of hydrogen–air mixture varies extensively with the equivalence ratio due to the high molecular diffusivity of hydrogen. In this study, the influences of pressure and thermo-diffusive effects on spherically propagating premixed hydrogen–air turbulent flames were studied using a constant volume fan-stirred combustion vessel. It was noted that the ratio of the turbulent to unstretched laminar burning velocity increased with decreasing equivalence ratio and increasing mixture pressure. Turbulent burning velocity was dominated by three factors: (1) purely hydrodynamic factor, turbulence Reynolds number, (2) relative turbulence intensity to reaction speed, the ratio of turbulence intensity to unstretched laminar burning velocity, and (3) sensitivity of the flame to the stretch due to the thermo-diffusive effects, Lewis and Markstein numbers. A turbulent burning velocity correlation in terms of Reynolds and Lewis numbers is presented.  相似文献
