This paper presents the robust velocity estimation of an omnidirectional mobile robot using a regular polygonal array of optical mice that are installed at the bottom of a mobile robot. First, the velocity kinematics from a mobile robot to an array of optical mice is derived, from which the least squares estimation of the mobile robot velocity is obtained as the simple average of the optical mouse velocity readings. Second, it is shown that a redundant number of optical mice contributes to the robustness of the least squares mobile robot velocity estimation against both measurement noises and partial malfunction of optical mice. Third, the sensitivity analysis of the least squares mobile robot velocity estimation to imprecise installation of optical mice is made, from which a practical method of optical mouse position calibration is devised. Finally, some experimental results using commercial optical mice are given to demonstrate the validity and performance of the proposed mobile robot velocity estimation. Analog circuits are one of the most important parts of modern electronic systems and the failure of electronic hardware presents a critical threat to the completion of modern aircraft, spacecraft, and robot missions. Compared to digital circuits, designing fault-tolerant analog circuits is a difficult and knowledge-intensive task. A simple but powerful method for robustness is a redundancy approach to use multiple circuits instead of single one. For example, if component failures occur, other redundant components can replace the functions of broken parts and the system can still work. However, there are several research issues to make the redundant system automatically. In this paper, we used evolutionary computation to generate multiple analog circuits automatically and then we combined the solutions to generate robust outputs. Evolutionary computation is a natural way to produce multiple redundant solutions because it is a population-based search. Experimental results on the evolution of the low-pass, high-pass and band-stop filters show that the combination of multiple evolved analog circuits produces results that are more robust than those of the best single circuit.  相似文献

A signal tracking method of GNSS receivers for spinning vehicles is proposed in order to eliminate the influence of spinning to the GNSS signal of a vehicle. In the proposed method, a rotation tracking loop is added into the carrier tracking loop of a conventional GNSS receiver. The proposed method was verified through computer simulations and an experiment for live GPS signals. The results show that the proposed method gives an accurate tracking performance.  相似文献

We report an active micromixer utilizing vortex generation due to non-equilibrium electrokinetics near micro/nanochannel interfaces. Its design is relatively simple, consisting of a U-shaped microchannel and a set of nanochannels. We fabricated the micromixer just using a two-step reactive ion etching process. We observed strong vortex generation in fluorescent microscopy experiments. The mixing performance was evident in a combined pressure-driven and electroosmotic flows, compared with the case with a pure pressure-driven flow. We characterized the micromixer for several conditions: different applied voltages, ion concentrations, flow rates, and nanochannel widths. The experimental results show that the mixing performance is better with a higher applied voltage, a lower ion concentration, and a wider nanochannel width. We quantified the mixing characteristics in terms of mixing time. The lowest mixing time was 2 milliseconds with the voltage of 230 V and potassium chloride solutions of 0.1 mM. We expect that the micromixer is beneficial in several applications requiring rapid mixing.  相似文献

Rigorous control synthesis for an unmanned aerial vehicle necessitates the availability of a good, reasonable model for such a vehicle. The work reported in this paper focuses on the modeling of a rotary unmanned aerial vehicle (RUAV) and the development of a robust controller that can handle parameter uncertainties and disturbances. The parameters of the plant model are obtained through the use of the prediction error method with real flight data. The response of the identified linear model shows a good match with the measured flight data. The H control scheme is applied to obtain a robustly stable controller using the identified model. The proposed controller is analyzed using frequency-domain analysis and time-domain simulations. The performance of the proposed H controller is better than that of the conventional proportional derivative controller in that the proposed controller has a shorter settling time and less overshoot. Furthermore, the degradation of the proposed controller performance is negligible and stability is maintained when the input gains to the plant are doubled, which demonstrates the good performance and robustness of the controller.  相似文献

Hydrous SnO2 and SnO2-coated TiO2 powders were synthesized by the homogeneous precipitation method using urea and the products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy and energy- dispersive X-ray microanalysis. Electrical conductivities were measured with an impedance analyser. Hydrous SnO2 powder prepared under conditions without SO 4 2– ions was a bulky product containing 75 wt% of water. The addition of SO 4 2– ions to the solution changed bulky hydrous SnO2 to a dense product; approximately spherical particles were obtained with an average particle size of 0.14 ± 0.03 m. with 13.5 wt % of absorbed water. Antimony-doped hydrous SnO2 prepared under conditions with SO 4 2– ions consisted of approximately spherical particles with an average particle size of 0.17 ± 0.04 m with 15.0 wt % of absorbed water. Hydrous SnO2-coated TiO2 powders with a good dispersion state and with various Sn/Ti ratios were prepared under conditions with SO 4 2– ions. All the as-prepared coated powders were white, but the products doped with Sb3+ ions were turned to pale blue by heat treatment at 600° C for 1 h and their electrical conductivities increased by orders of about 3.0 in comparison with those of the other two.  相似文献

The compacts consisted of , -Si3N4 and free silicon are heat treated in the range 1650° C to 1750° C in an argon atmosphere in order to observe the following behaviours; the to phase transformation and variations of the microstructure during heat treatment in silicon nitride. For the microstructural observation of the heat treated specimens, the same grains in the polished surface were investigated before and after eliminating the retained silicon by etching. The to phase transformation, in this case, occurs via silicon melts irrespective of added -Si3N4. Both and phases are soluted and precipitated into molten silicon and their morphology are changed from an equiaxed shape to prismatic one. Although elongated grains are precipitated at low temperature or in the early stage of heat treatment, fine precipitated grains are mainly observed with increasing heat treating temperature.  相似文献

The infiltration behaviour of a tin melt, as an internal electrode, to the porous layers, and the electrical properties of multilayer ceramic capacitors was investigated by electrode infiltration. By preventing green-state delamination between the dielectric green sheet and the carbon paste, uniform porous layers, 5 m thick, could be formed after sintering. When 15 vol % ceramic pillars were added to the carbon paste, the porous layer of the sintered samples could be considered as a porous solid formed by many pores larger than 4 m. The critical pressure for the infiltration of tin melt into such a porous layer was found to be 0.5 MPa. With a high infiltration pressure, the resistivity of multilayer capacitors was decreased to 108–109cm due to the growth of micro-defects formed on the surface of the dielectric layers during the lamination process.  相似文献

Dielectric properties and microstructural behaviour of Ba1–x Sr x Ti1–y Ca y O3–y ceramics, where strontium and calcium were doped on the barium and titanium sites, respectively, within the range 0x0.24 and 0y0.05, were investigated. Calcium addition decreased the tetragonality,c/a, increased the unit cell volume, and lowered the Curie temperature, which were all attributed to the occupancy of Ca2+ ions on titanium sites. When sintered at a low oxygen partial pressure of 10–9 MPa, a resistivity higher than 1011 cm was maintained for the formulations containing B-site calcium substitution more than 0.5 mol %. With increasing the amount of calcium addition, the Curie peak was depressed and completely broadened for the compositions with calcium addition more than 3 mol %, where the average grain size was smaller than 1 m. Co-firing with nickel electrodes in a reducing atmosphere also depressed the Curie peak and inhibited the grain growth due to the diffusion of nickel into the dielectrics.  相似文献

Single-crystal (Cz) silicon wafers [(100) p-type] were cut in air, d6onked (DI) water and ethanol, at room temperature, 150 and 200°C by a diamond impregnated dicing wheel using a specially designed apparatus. The effects of environmental fluids and temperature on the cut surface morphology were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The SEM investigation showed that gouging and ploughing is predominant when silicon is cut in DI water or ethanol. Debris size analysis showed that the mean diameter of the volume distribution (MV) of debris formed in ethanol at room temperature was 9.5 m while that formed in air was 1.3 m. The surface morphology is significantly different at 150 and 200° C as compared to room temperature, i.e. the width of individual wear tracks varied from 0,8 m for room temperature to 1.6 m for 200° C.  相似文献
