Processability at extrusion coating and mechanical properties of the films obtained are investigated by means of linear and nonlinear rheological measurements and tensile tests for blends of polypropylene (PP) and linear low‐density polyethylene (LLDPE). Both materials are produced by metallocene catalyst. The processability of PP is found to be improved by the addition of LLDPE; the blend shows low level of motor torque and head pressure in an extruder and small level of neck‐in as compared with pure PP. Further, the anisotropy of ultimate tensile strength, which is prominent for PP, is reduced by blending with LLDPE. As a result, the blend having 20 wt % of LLDPE shows appropriate properties in the molten state for extrusion coating and in the solid state as a film. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A wet atomising system has been employed as a novel method to prepare ultrafine Gd‐doped CeO2 (GDC) electrolyte slurries. By changing the fluid flow pressure and repeating the atomisation process several times for the same atomised slurries, we have obtained optimised ultrafine GDC slurry with high‐dispersed and homogeneous distribution. The sizes of the particles of GDC were in the range of tens of nanometres. A highly dense electrolyte layer (membrane) was prepared using the ultrafine GDC slurries for intermediate temperatures microtubular solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) applications. The SOFC was fabricated by using supporting porous anode tubes of NiO and GDC, and the cathode consisted of La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3–y and GDC. A dense 10 μm GDC electrolyte layer was obtained at a lower sintering temperature of 1,250 °C for 1 h. The SOFC was tested with humidified (3% H2O) hydrogen as a fuel and the static air as an oxidant, and the tubular cell maintained its high performance even at 500 °C.  相似文献

Lignin gasification in supercritical water over charcoal supported ruthenium trivalent salts was studied using a batch reactor at 673 K. Ruthenium (III) nitrosyl nitrate on charcoal (Ru(NO)(NO3)3/C) was more active than ruthenium (III) chloride on charcoal (RuCl3/C) for the gasification reaction. EXAFS analysis revealed that ruthenium metal particles were formed in both RuCl3/C and Ru(NO)(NO3)3/C catalysts during the lignin gasification and that the size of ruthenium metal in Ru(NO)(NO3)3/C was smaller than that in RuCl3/C. It was concluded that well-dispersed ruthenium metal particles were active for the lignin gasification in supercritical water.  相似文献

The effects of plastic strain and strain path on Young’s modulus of sheet metals are experimentally investigated using low carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass sheets of 1 mm thickness. These sheets are firstly deformed to different plastic strains under a few strain paths from balanced biaxial stretching to uniaxial tension. Then, a small uniaxial tension test specimen is cut from each deformed sheet and Young’s modulus is measured using electrical-resistance strain gauges glued to both surfaces of the specimen. The experimental results show that Young’s moduli of the low carbon steel and stainless steel sheets decrease with increasing plastic strain, while those of aluminium, copper and brass sheets hardly change with the plastic strain. In all materials, however, the effect of the strain path on Young’s modulus is not necessarily evident. It is confirmed that Young’s modulus of the low carbon steel sheet can be recovered to the initial value of undeformed sheet by a subsequent annealing. In addition to Young’s modulus, the effects of the plastic strain and the strain paths on Poisson’s ratio of these materials are also shown.  相似文献

Rheological properties in a molten state are studied extensively for poly(3‐hydroxybutyrate‐co‐3‐hydroxyvalerate), PHB‐HV, with a small amount of crosslinked poly(epichlorohydrin), PECH, having low density of crosslink points. It is found that adding 2 wt % of xPECH greatly enhances the melt elasticity of PHB‐HV, one of the serious defects of microbial PHB, whereas it has no effect on the shear viscosity. As a result, viscoelastic nature, and thus processability, of PHB‐HV can be controlled by blending the crosslinked PECH. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2008  相似文献

For gas metal arc welding, the effect of CO2 mixture in a shielding gas on a metal transfer process was investigated through the observation of the plasma characteristics and dynamic behaviour at the droplet’s growth-separation-transfer by the temperature measurement methods which were suitable, respectively, to the argon plasma region and the metal plasma region. At the present experimental conditions, the metal transfer process was a spray transfer type with 100%Ar shielding gas. On the other hand, with 85%Ar + 15%CO2 shielding gas, the metal transfer process was a globular transfer type in which the arc length was shorter, the width was narrower and the time interval of the droplet separation was longer. For both shielding gases, the metal plasma region near the arc central axis exhibited 6500–7500 K, which was lower than the argon plasma region. With 85%Ar + 15%CO2 shielding gas, when the metal droplet grew below the electrode wire, the region below the droplet has a high plasma temperature and a high concentration of iron vapour which surrounded the droplet. The region also exhibited a remarkably high electron number density. At the spray transfer process, the argon plasma region had an electron number density twice as high as the metal plasma region. Meanwhile, at the globular transfer process, the metal plasma region had a higher electron number density than the argon plasma region, which corresponded to a higher electrical conductivity near the arc axis. This means that the electric current goes through the arc axis easier than the spray transfer process. This condition increases the temperature below the droplet. The thermal expansion increases the force preventing the droplet from falling down. In consequence, the metal transfer takes the globular transfer type.  相似文献

A magnetic field-assisted finishing process has been studied for high-aspect-ratio ion-etched silicon curvilinear micropore structures, which have potential application as mirrors for satellite-borne X-ray telescopes. The micropore sidewalls act as X-ray focusing mirrors, and lead to reductions in the mass-to-effective-area ratio of 10-1000 times, compared to traditional X-ray telescopes. This paper describes the processing principle for the surface finishing of the sidewalls of micropore structures (10, 20 μm and depth: 300 μm (aspect ratio ≈ 15, 30)), and the feasibility of achieving roughness ∼4 nm rms and improving the X-ray reflectivity of micropore sidewall surface are demonstrated.  相似文献

In this study, polypropylene (PP) films containing the β nucleating agent, N,N′-dicyclohexyl-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxamide, were prepared using PP with three different molecular weights (low, medium, and high) by extrusion process with T-shaped die. The structure and morphology of the films were studied after stretching. It was found that a unique molecular orientation, in which both the c-axis and crystalline lamellae were oriented perpendicular to the flow direction, was formed in all undrawn film samples, irrespective of the molecular weights of the PP. In the PP sheets stretched in the machine direction, the low-molecular-weight sample containing the nucleating agent exhibited brittle properties owing to a lack of tie chains in the stretching direction. In contrast, cavitation was prominent in the medium (M-PP)- and high (H-PP)-molecular-weight samples. Notably, M-PP containing the nucleating agent, with a high degree of molecular orientation, promoted the formation of a large number of voids. In H-PP containing the nucleating agent, the presence of numerous tie chains inhibited cavitation, resulting in fewer voids. The experimental results demonstrated the influence of the molecular weight on the void structure, which will be useful in the field of microporous membranes.  相似文献

New biomarkers are needed to further stratify the risk of malignancy in intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN). Although microRNAs (miRNAs) are expected to be stable biomarkers, they can vary owing to a lack of definite internal controls. To identify universal biomarkers for invasive IPMN, we performed miRNA sequencing using tumor-normal paired samples. A total of 19 resected tissues and 13 pancreatic juice samples from 32 IPMN patients were analyzed for miRNA expression by next-generation sequencing with a two-step normalization of miRNA sequence data. The miRNAs involved in IPMN associated with invasive carcinoma were identified from this tissue analysis and further verified with the pancreatic juice samples. From the tumor-normal paired tissue analysis of the expression levels of 2792 miRNAs, 20 upregulated and 17 downregulated miRNAs were identified. In IPMN associated with invasive carcinoma (INV), miR-10a-5p and miR-221-3p were upregulated and miR-148a-3p was downregulated when compared with noninvasive IPMN. When these findings were further validated with pancreatic juice samples, miR-10a-5p was found to be elevated in INV (p = 0.002). Therefore, three differentially expressed miRNAs were identified in tissues with INV, and the expression of miR-10a-5p was also elevated in pancreatic juice samples with INV. MiR-10a-5p is a promising additional biomarker for invasive IPMN.  相似文献
