With the emergence of new media, interactive film projects have mainly struggled to resolve the contradiction between dramatic structures and interaction. Dramatic film presents identification with the main character, where the viewer is constantly oppressed by the narrative, and therefore lost in illusion. In this context, when we bring on the scene interaction, the drama apparently starts to lose its power. In this article, a new interactive film model based on Brechtian film theory is proposed. This model presents a new way of spatiotemporal construction where different audiovisual combinations can be viewed successively, and this way the viewer can actively construct his/her own story. Theoretical framework of the Brechtian interactive film model is supported by an interactive film application, named Academia. The main feature of the model is that, while interaction is very simple, the continuity of the narrative is preserved and the film requiring an intellectual level of interpretation. 相似文献

In information-intensive environments some firms may be sending their customers to other firms’ or affiliates’ websites in
order to generate additional sales for their affiliates. Although this may provide a choice for the customers, from a firm’s
point of view such strategies have the potential to cannibalize own sales. Hence, when customers purchase from other firms’
websites, the firm may loose its own customers. This study analyzes the optimality of such strategies using an analytical
framework. The findings show that a firm may increase its prices and profit when its own customers purchase from other firm
websites. An analysis of customer surplus and total welfare show that such strategies may have adverse effects. The results

The model selection paradigm is one of the focused themes within decision science. This paper addresses the consistent solution of model selection issue on the basis of the fuzzy axiomatic design (FAD) methodology. Optimization problems concerning complex structures with many design variables may entail an unacceptable computational cost.
This problem can be reduced considerably with a multilevel approach: A structure consisting of several components is optimized
as a whole (global) as well as on the component level. In this paper, an optimization method is discussed with applications
in the assessment of the impact of new design considerations in the development of a structure. A strategy based on fully
stressed design is applied for optimization problems in linear statics. A global model is used to calculate the interactions
(e.g., loads) for each of the components. These components are then optimized using the prescribed interactions, followed
by a new global calculation to update the interactions. Mixed discrete and continuous design variables as well as different
design configurations are possible. An application of this strategy is presented in the form of the full optimization of a
vertical tail plane center box of a generic large passenger aircraft. In linear dynamics, the parametrization of the component
interactions is problematic due to the frequency dependence. Hence, a modified method is presented in which the speed of component
mode synthesis is used to avoid this parametrization. This method is applied to a simple test case that originates from noise

Sheet metal hydroforming is a deep drawing process that uses a pressure medium for load transmission. The process is mainly influenced by the control of the blank holder force and the fluid pressure. This report describes investigations of a newly developed process-control system. Process variables can be controlled by the sealing state of the tool. The detection is performed by a CCD-camera system that allows the continuous recording of occurring leakages. Different control strategies can be used to control the multiple process parameters. In this paper, the compensation advantage of the first-generation current conveyor (CCI) over the second-generation current
conveyor (CCII) in tunable circuits is shown. For this purpose, a new floating frequency dependent negative resistor (FDNR)
simulator using three CCIs is presented and employed in a third-order high-pass filter. The compensation feature of the CCI
is shown for the proposed high-pass filter. As a second example, the presented compensation method is tested in a second-order
band-pass filter constructed with two CCIs. Applying the proposed compensation technique, the CCI-based circuits can operate

Structural colorful cholesterics show impressive susceptibility to external stimulation, leading to applications in electro/mechano-chromic devices. However, out-of-plane actuation of structural colorful actuators based on cholesterics and the integration with other stimulation remains underdeveloped. Herein, colorful actuators and motile humidity sensors are developed using humidity-responsive cholesteric liquid crystal networks (CLCNs) and magnetic composites. The developed colorful actuator can exhibit synergistic out-of-plane shape morphing and color change in response to humidity, with CLCNs as colorful artificial muscles. Through the integration with magnetic control, the motile sensor can be navigated to open and confined spaces with the aid of friction to detect local relative humidity. The integration of multi-stimulation actuation of cholesteric magnetic actuators will expand the research frontier of structural colorful actuators and motile sensors for confined spaces. 相似文献

There is a growing interest for the design and operation of reverse supply chain systems due to the cost and the legislation issues. In this paper, we address the disassembly, refurbishing and production operations in a reverse supply chain setting for modular products such as computers and mobile phones considering the uncertainties in this system, which are the return amounts of the used products and demand for final products. We develop a large-scale mixed integer programming model in order to capture all characteristics of this system, and use two-stage stochastic optimisation and robust optimisation approaches to analyse the system behaviour. In the first stage, we focus on the strategic decisions about the capacities at disassembly and refurbishing sites considering different scenarios regarding the uncertainties in the system. In the second stage, we analyse the operational decisions such as production, inventory and disposal rates. We observe through our extensive numerical analysis that the randomness of demand and return values effect the performance of the system substantially and the uncertainty of the return amounts of used products is much more important than the uncertainty of demand in this system. 相似文献
